Yep as I say I use the open position A purely because I prefer it! And so I use the A shape B because it's closer. As you say it definitely works using the E shaped barre chords for the A and B. It's such a cool song it just works great!
I meant I find it easier to use the A and B chords at the higher frets. I also realise thats how bonehead plays anyway but its cool if u prefer ur method.

In the intro? I guess you could but its not what Noel does and the B7 chord is a pretty standard chord. He does love his 7 chords!
For the rhythm guitar, u can use Barred A and B chords. I find it easier that way
