Thanks for checking the podcast out this month! If you have any questions for next month's Knitting Clinic just drop them here and I'll get to as many as I can 😊
My all time favourite fantasy writer is Raymond Feist, especially The Magician series. He writes the way I like to read. Sara Douglass sweeps you through her epic stories and an Aussie writer Traci Harding, keeps my gift list for the hubster rather full, though some of her books, if you're following any of her series are a bit difficult to find. I've been sent on many epic quests to track down a novel or two of hers.
Always fun to see what you're up to!!! I wish January wasn't such a slog for you and your family!!! Hoping the months to come are better. I recently started re-reading the Anne of Green Gables series and will be reading "A Thousand Beginnings and Endings" by Ellen Oh once I pick it up from the library. Take care Kat!~Stephanie
@@OliphantKat I didn’t.. But the other method looks easier😆😆. I’ve actually finished my project when I saw your podcast. I was making yarn cozy for personal use, so I didn’t fuss about the imperfection but I noticed something not right🥴🥴. In future I would know what to do!
I love fantasy so I’m adding your suggestions to my list 💕 Unsurprisingly I’ve got some experience with alternating skeins 😅 and I always use helical knitting but also i always leave my inactive yarn at the front so I don’t accidentally knit past it!
Thanks for the tip, I tried it on my top and it was very helpful 😄. Except then someone told me how to do helical knitting without slipping any sts and it worked 😮 So I just changed yarn at the start of the round.
Thank you for answering my question. I will be definitely checking out those other two methods of alternating skeins. I also love fantasy fiction. You may have read these all but my favourites are Kate Forsyth’s Witches of Eileanan series and the Belgariad by David Eddings.
Thank *you* for asking it - I had honestly forgotten I should be alternating skeins for my summer top 🤣Oh I've heard a lot of good things about David Eddings! Thanks for the recs 😊
Oh yes, I've heard a lot about it! I think they made it a movie or a TV series a few years ago? I didn't realise it was a Western, I'll have to go take a look 😊
@@OliphantKat yep they made it into a movie with Idris Elba and Matthew McCaughney (but apparently its not the greatest adaptation)…its got wester elements but in a futuristic world…its really really good

Thanks Stephanie! I've never actually read Anne of Green Gables but I know people who absolutely love it. I'll check the books out 😊
Thank you! I just did stripes in the round yesterday &encountered the jagged edge issue, so your podcast has been really helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Oh yay, I'm glad it helped! Did you try helical knitting?

Oldie but a goodie is the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King…The Gunslinger is the first one…its a futuristic western set in a post apocalyptic world
