I take it as a loving slap in the face. It's a reminder of what I should remember and appreciate for the rest of my life. It's what I should be spending my life looking for and bringing to other people. It's still sad, of course, but if you make it a happy feeling more often than not, it makes things a little bit easier.
When I was 9 seeing the curious George movie hearing this song for the first time. it made me sad and nostalgic for a time that never existed yesterday.
