How to mute & unmute the annoying lock & unlock horn sound in Hyundai.
Stop beeping sound while locking & unlocking.
I tried this trick in my HYUNDAI VENUE SX 1.0 Petrol BS6 2020.
It is almost same for all Hyundai cars.

The present lock horn so bad and noisy LOL...
Don't think so its inbuilt, but you can try it in after markets, but this will affect your warranty

I have bs 4 2019 model venue s turbo , could not disable, any other way you know to do so?
This will work only for BS6 models.
Haven't heard any alternate way to disable in BS4 vehicles.

Now I have 2019 Verna on which I tried to mute the lock/unlock sound successfully. To do this
1. It has 3 button remote. Pull out the key from the top (not like the remote shown here ). Insert it at the keyhole on the handle (driver’s side door) and unlock the door. Now remove the key and wait for 5-8 secs. Now open the door. It won’t make any sound. If you open immediately then it will beep continuously.
2. To lock the door, close all the doors , insert the key and lock the door. No sound again.

Then what is the need for the key switch... we're trying to find outhow to disable the unlock sound and youre just teaching how to manually lock/unlock the car
@@Mr.Hedonixt No way. The idea is how to unlock or lock without the annoying sound for those who need it. Obviously the more convenient option is to use the remote with the sound. You can also change the stock lock horn, one with less intensity. The one on Verna does not offer a pleasant sound.
Will this work on a 2012 Chevy equinox ? I tried looking it up but couldn't find any.

It works from Aura and above models, but you can give a try since its AMT and its new one.

It is available only in bs6. Worst Hyundai has not provided this in my bs4.

Yes...it works only in BS6 variants. BS6 vehicles are those which meets the standard of fuel emission set by govt of India.

I used to & advise people to keep it mute if possible.
I have a 2014 Santa Fe and nothing I have found to turn off the sound has worked. I don't want to lose the theft protection, so I don't want to have to disconnect the horn. I hate the beeps on cars like I hate hearing phones ring. LOL! I hope to find the right way to do it for my car!

Hi Amit. This feature will not work in BS4 versions. Hyundai introduced it in BS6 only.
