I have sun square, I’m much older now, I’m 40+ and I can definitely agree that yes I’ve had nothing but set backs in my career my entire life. I have Saturn on my ascendant, therefore I’ve had 2 Saturns going through all my houses since birth. I’m back in graduate school now with the children who have yet to have a Saturn return in their life. I just hope my next Saturn return is more prosperous. Thanks for the info and confirmation.
Stephanie Rovegno I have Saturn square the Sun. ruling my Capricorn Ascendant. I am now in my seventies and feeling the benefits of Saturn, but my life until the Uranus opposition was incredibly tough. Depression was never far away. My childhood was overburdened with responsibility, which I took on board unquestioningly, but I began to rebel at around 14years. This lasted until I was 42.Afterwards my life lightened up a lot ( In both senses of the word). Saturn is indeed the alchemical lead that turns to gold.
Saturn trine sun - you are right. Grown up without a prominent male figure. Biological father absent and step father stepped back as my mother took charge of parenting.
Lovely to see you out in the garden! Can't tell you how helpful these insights into Saturn are for me. It truly is a planet that improves with age. Thanks Steve.
This topic is worthy of a detailed presentation - Great Job Steve! Notes: Ages under 42 and over 42 - Sun Opposite Saturn = Born old and get younger. (Love in own boundaries) Sun Trine Saturn = absence of dad - Sun conjunct Saturn - Imposed conditions. Sun square Saturn - typical square blockages - (sound like Sun Combust Saturn) great efforts - ultimately gaining boundary balance. Sextile - great business capabilities. Sun Conj Saturn - challenged - structure oriented - rise to the top. 7 year itch. Older gains as rewards -
Yep sun cancer square saturn libra here so spot on steve. Such a difficult energy, limition being the key word here. Hard way is the only way!.....Its got easy over 30 definitly but still a challenging aspect. Ive found the authority issue very hard to handle and I loathe people telling me what to do. I personally think the father has alot to do with saturn because with my father I could never find any common ground. It was a very difficult relationship it felt like our enegies just never flowed. Although he was absent for most of my childhood I wanted his approval and love more than anyones. It might not be the same for everyone with this aspect but I noticed it makes me think of him when i read about sun/saturn .
I have this exact placement- Cancer Sun Square Libra Saturn. I too had a difficult relationship with my father. He was physically, verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive and mean. He died early (early 50's) of an aneurysm. At 39 I'm just now resolving my childhood trauma of him. And consequently my romantic relationship trauma. (Keep subconsciously attracting men like him to try to heal the wound through them).
So so true everything you said about Sun opposite Saturn. I am Capricorn with Saturn in the 12th house. Have experienced everything you said - I am very disciplined and serious! The first half of my life has been full of challenges and restrictions, but at the age of 43 I am looking forward to a better second half. Its not easy as you say, I just hope it will be 'easier'
Sun square my Saturn in the 10th house.. wish my family believed in astrology to this degree, they think I’m lazy, the truth is no matter what I do trying to further my career or even start a career is so so hard. I wish I didn’t have to live with these struggles. I just want harmony.
Your on point about that sun trine Saturn aspect. My dads always been in my life but I never really had a relationship with him and definitely always felt like I had to learn for myself. My chart has a weird trine with my Capricorn Saturn being late degree and my sun being at the zero degree of Gemini.
Hi steve im 43 and yes have always gone the long way round always got on with elders am really starting to like the energy right now getting lots done im going to grow old disgracefully bright blessings x
I have Sun-Saturn-Opposition... Sun Gemini in 10th house. I was born old :))) always serious since early childhood. I looked older back as a kid but now everyone says age made me younger ))) Responsible and hard-working. Definitely very close, even telepathic relationship with my grandmother. Very distant and cold relationship with father. He was emotionally unavailable always. I have to hustle to get something and achieve, but still struggling to get to the top where I deserve. I'm 34. Panning to leave my home-country and settle overseas . (Saturn sits in my 4th house) Very decent and true explanation. Thank you.
Saturn continues to fascinate me as I have Saturn sextile Sun as well as conj Asc, Mars and Moon. I am almost 40 and can feel the energy shifting slowly and less blocked, more confidence etc.
Yes, Sun square Saturn here. Cappie Sun/Moon/Merc stellium in 2nd house. My self-esteem when younger was nil & depression seemed overwhelming. It's easier now at 50, but still an issue.
sun opposite saturn here. spot on. sun in cancer. sat in capricorn (retro). i've grown to love and appreciate saturn. aside from pluto, prob my favorite planet. my moon is also BQ saturn.
Thanks for all your videos! I devour them! 👍👍👍... Saturn is not my favorite planet, but as it is in my 1st and is biquintile my Sun (approaching, 00 54) I have learnt to realize that it can be a blessing in disguise. Going through the second opposition right now, btw.
Sun square Saturn here! It's good to know that hard work is gonna pay off after age 42, 43 :) Also, I realized recently that the majority of my good friends through life have some kind of Sun-Saturn aspect, so I must be attracting similar type of energies...
Thank you. Sun conjunct Saturn here. Leo Sun, Saturn in Leo. Very difficult energy as a young person, as I've grown older as you've said I can appreciate what it's all about. But yeah, for sure you're absolutely right. Cheers.
My chart demonstrates the aspect of Saturn trine Sun, but I find it easier to relate to the psychological aspect of Saturn conjunct Saturn, as my Saturn is conjunct the Ascendant. Interesting!
female sun conjunct saturn in Libra in 12 th house. I had my father but all of my good friends grew up without a father, as my mother and husband diid. never liked being young but love being older. at 72 I still work full time and have no intention of stopping. still running 5 miles/day.
Beautifully done!! Thank you for this 💚 I'm an Aries sun 7th house square Capricorn Saturn 4th house...you aren't kidding when you say "it's lots of work" lol!
I really love your videos because it has new information not just the same thing we read again and again, i wish you would do more in-depth aspects videos. Thank you anyway for sharing your knowledge 💗
Thank you so much, I am also 40+ and Sun Saturn conjunct in Leo. Even though I'm an astrologer especially now that Saturn in on my moon in Aquarius I still need to hear it from someone else. I really hope that Saturn will be my favourite planet too.... but not quite there yet🙂
If you find the time, would you PLEASE do a basic astrology video on Sun Pluto aspects? Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge, it is so valuable and useful!!
I love your introduction… I’m not sure if anyone here has seen Alison Through the Looking Glass (Alison in wonderland part 2). The Chromosphere guy (character) is definitely Saturn 🪐 TIME TIME TIME
Sun square Saturn, Pluto, and Uranus. My father was a brutal alcoholic, with a violent and unpredictable temper and he terrified me. He was overbearing and I didn't get away with anything. I don't remember much more than that. I've been on antidepressants and mood stabilizers for 20 years and although I'm 58, I don't think of my dad without fear and trembling.
My Saturn in Sagittarius is literaly pointing an arrow towards my sun. - Sun (Gemini, 10th) conjunct Chiron / Sun conjunct Lilith / Chiron conjunct Lilith - Saturn opposite Sun - Saturn opposite Chiron - Saturn (not exactly) opposite Lilith - Saturn square AC (Virgin / near the border of Lion) - Saturn semisquare Mars - Saturn semisextile Neptune - Saturn semisextile Pluto - Venus (Cancer) opposite Mars (Capricorn) - Mars semisquare AC - Jupiter square Sun - Jupiter square Mercury - Jupiter square Uranus - Moon conjunct MC Depending on the point of view, it's fair to say, that Saturn bears a dominance in my natal zodiac, which, in some regards, can be seen as quite cruel.
So lovely to see you outside! Yes, seven years after my second Saturn return, I've finally come to appreciate and even treasure my Saturn squares (Sun, Mercury and Mars!). I've grown into them - though paradoxically, it was the love, understanding and support of my Dad who grounded and helped me the most. He was with me till that second return and I could always count on him for the helping me explore and create the structure I definitely needed as a Neptune conjunct Asc. person. Yes, my early forties were definitely the years when I first came into myself. Thank you for the information about the relationship to the bones - it flips the concept of often resented limitations and boundaries into necessary structural support and protection. Most of all, thank your this series...Will you also be doing Saturn/Moon relationships?
No it's in the last decan of Virgo...so I think it's actually been a bit more than seven years since the last return (I'd have to go look it up) - but it was about that time that I really had a 'settling' and a sense of satisfaction that was missing after the earlier cycle. Things ARE much better now - I have to disagree about having a lack of optimism - that seems to have finally developed this last time around. Light hearted? A lot more so now...or maybe its just my Libran Neptunian light headedness! :-D
No, mine are separated too. I am sun conjunct Saturn in Libra. My first Saturn return I quit my job and went back to college. My second Saturn return I expected another big, life change, but nothing happened, and I didn't make any radical, life-changing decisions. It is only now that I feel satisfied with what I have and where I am (kind of like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz). And the realization that my time is limited, another thirty years at best if I live into my late nineties, and, more likely, twenty or fewer years, I have a curiosity that grows daily about absolutely everything and a feeling of awe about existence. They always claim children are filled with curiosity and a desire to learn. I don’t think that’s true, at least it wasn’t for me. I was very blasé as a child. I took everything for granted. I didn’t appreciate the wonder that life is. Now I do.
I have Mr. Saturn at 5 degrees Cap in conj. with Asc at 9 Cap. Besides, in sextile with Sun, inconjunct Mars... sextile Jup... Am I a Saturn individual... and I was about to get my second Sat return... but Sat decided to get retrog... so I am waiting for it... very very interesting. I love Saturn, he gives me structure being challenged by a mutable Grand Cross with Sun, Pluto, Mars and Jup involved. Without my Sat, I would be crazy ... For some reason I know that understanding the role of my Sat I will always find a way... A piscean Sun always welcomes earthy friends... Thanks soooo much, Steve. This was particularly helpful. God bless you much.
Sun square Saturn has always felt draining to my physical vitality, a lot of joint issues, overall feeling tired, even when very young. Even when I do work hard I seem to come up against road blocks others don't face. I would like to hear more about the mid life transits (i.e. Saturn opp Saturn, Neptune sq Neptune) as I am going through them now as I'm sure others are.
Sun conjunct Saturn both in Capricorn 😂 born old for sure I'm 33 and fun now 😅😅 teeth issues for sure and knee problem's I go to an acupuncturist for that and it does help .
conjunction aspect here! i know my parents mean very well when telling me what they hope i do but i feel so lost bc i have no idea who i am now and i don’t want to disappoint them
Sun conjunct Saturn here on the Northern Scale, in the 10th house. Dad was controlling when I was younger, I have had many different teachers/managers/supervisors in my younger years single me out and target me for harassment, getting me in trouble etc. Also have a Pluto MC, not sure if that has any effect
My fav is Pluto as weird as that sounds It decimates the ground and takes it all to be rebuilt Phoenix from the ashes and the rewards it brings are immesurable
Thank you so much Steve Oh! Could you please do Sun/Neptune aspects next? I also have Moon opposite Neptune exactly at 15° In my natal chart. That could be another group you could do: Moon aspects. You are the greatest!
Thanks for this one. Sun square Saturn here. He has been my friend for many years: I had to mature at a very young age. My discipline went way to far in my younger years, but did save my life and some others: especially my daughters. Right now I have transit Saturn in opposition with my Sun... I have to snap out of the holiday I just took for a couple of years... Any advice...? I know: not your problem. Thanks for this one, again. 😐
Semi-Quincunx... Working off a Sun quintile Jupiter... My Saturn (Gemini) & Pluto (Libra) trine exact... But both work off a Mercury (Aries) exact... lol
I have Chiron in my 10th house and some tricky Saturn aspects. Its in my 11th house in Gemini. I have arthritis and many autoimmune problems. This past few months I have had some DREADFUL doctors appts - basically, excuses made due to lack of NHS funds which I know are excuses because I'm not stupid. Tomorrow transiting Saturn sits on my Sun. I had a moment of realisation just now that doctors are authority figures and this blockage is a repeat 10th house issue. But I have no idea what to do, there just seems to be no way round. Sod that old b@st@rd! btw I would insist on you changing your opinion of my friend Jupiter. He tells good jokes and knows a lot of foreign languages!
Hi Steve! You are from the top drawer! I love these lessons, they are great. I have Sun conjunct Moon in the 8th sextiling Saturn in the 7th. It has taken me a long time to become an adult, at the age of 44 things has finally started to work out well. Got business plans and just hoping the line up of planets in 2020 in my 2nd hse will be the trigger point? Lots of luv to you! Xxx
l have this aspect sun conjunct saturn in 10th house scorpio where saturn have lowest degree l also have mercury in 10house , l still dont know what l should study or work with smh
My Sun and Saturn are combust in Taurus in the 7th house. Take a guess how many times I have been divorced. I may as well just keep some spare paperwork around and have a lawyer on retainer. I am over 50 now though, so life is a bit less restraining. I am getting to know more people like myself and waiting things out more. Gender and sexuality issues have always been shadow issues for me. It's been a lot of hiding and sneaking around to get my needs met. Now, I am just more open and transparent. WYSIWYG. Yes Jupiter is transiting there right now. It has brought business luck and I am plugging away at my writing. Lyric wise, I am in top form but the subject matter is strange. Let's just say, in my chart Pluto, BML, Saturn and my Sun are at a kinky club taking turns to see who's more punk. Nobody and everybody is winning.
Aloha Steve, Ty so much for your daily inspirations and your amazing insights into astrology. How about doing a chart for the actual day of Prince Harrys' wedding? If u have already done this, I must have missed it. Ty again!
Saturn in 1st opposing Sun, so true about structure - educated in architecture, banking, taxes and legal field, worked for the government agencies all my life finally at 50 got fed up with their games, lack of efficiency and laziness - must be Mars in 6th...
Saturn square sun and moon 😅. Setbacks yes, in many areas of life but somehow lesser after first return. I seem to have been receiving support from authority lately and others see me as a rock stone dependable. When faced with difficulties or idiots I tend to go feelingless and nose to the grindstone and like a tunnel grinding machines I succeed against all odds and others give in. Oh and yes, I laugh from time to time :))))
bijhua - cold family, no affection... setbacks at work, exhaustion, depression, chronic fatigue. Not feeling comfortable with people. Feeling inferior, not feeling comfortable in myself, not feeling confident. It hasn’t got better with age.
Amelia did you have your Saturn return? It gets better afterwards. Remember that you have been blessed with the energy to overcome way more than you can ever imagine. Saturn is like the best parent/ supporter/ friend you never had :) It’s just asking you to do everything the hard way, no shortcuts, but boy will it deliver if you do so. Imagine that you are a simple rock like so many others . Your luck is that Saturn has just decided to turn you into a diamond in this lifetime, but it is going to take a long time and a scorching fire you’ll have to go through; and you have to do it alone. If you refuse the mission you end up as ash, if you embrace it you can become so much more than you’d have imagined as a kid. And the square with Moon can make you extremely pragmatic, which is a huge advantage in decision making and facing chaos. You just have to trust yourself much more (because initially the energy can make you feel lonely and insecure) Where are your Saturn, Sun and Moon placed in your birthchart if I may ask?
For sun trine Saturn.. we are all alone in discovering what it means to be a man? Like we can’t find a mentor or coach or something bc I think that’s pretty harsh interpretation if so.
True! Sun trine Saturn, my father is there but he has no tools to teach anything... he has been a burden more than anything else. Getting old is going better. I love him, but when he'll die I'm sure deep down me I'll feel lighter. I'm also sure that some family karma from his side will disappear from my life when he'll pass away.

Sun conjunct saturn here. Daddy died at 6. I've always been old for my age and worked hard. At 47 I am finally living the life I.'ve wanted.
So so true everything you said about Sun opposite Saturn. I am Capricorn with Saturn in the 12th house. Have experienced everything you said - I am very disciplined and serious! Sun opposite Saturn. I can relate to what you are saying, 40 this year. Grew up without a father (Saturn in 12th house retrograde).
(Saturn sits in my 4th house)
Very decent and true explanation. Thank you.
Saturn continues to fascinate me as I have Saturn sextile Sun as well as conj Asc, Mars and Moon. I am almost 40 and can feel the energy shifting slowly and less blocked, more confidence etc.
Oh, I love the outdoor backdrop! Thank you, Steve, for this basics.

Depending on the point of view, it's fair to say, that Saturn bears a dominance in my natal zodiac, which, in some regards, can be seen as quite cruel.
Very accurate, this aspect is the bane of my existence. I have sun square Saturn and it's a part of a grand cross with Jupiter and Chiron.

Seven years. Then you must have Saturn in Libra. I do too.
No it's in the last decan of Virgo...so I think it's actually been a bit more than seven years since the last return (I'd have to go look it up) - but it was about that time that I really had a 'settling' and a sense of satisfaction that was missing after the earlier cycle. conjunction aspect here! i know my parents mean very well when telling me what they hope i do but i feel so lost bc i have no idea who i am now and i don’t want to disappoint them
Thank you, Steve!!
Love this video series!
What is the orb of these aspects? I have a Sun Saturn opposition around 7 degrees orb, but I really resonate with these characteristics.
I've got Sun quintile Saturn .... don't think it's covered here.
Thank you Steve, I have Sun opposite Saturn
I have Saturn conjunct my Sun but with Neptune even closer, it's been a blessing.
oops! I found it! Sorry to waste your time! Keep up the good work! We love u
steve
Sun conjunct Saturn here on the Northern Scale, in the 10th house. Dad was controlling when I was younger, I have had many different teachers/managers/supervisors in my younger years single me out and target me for harassment, getting me in trouble etc. Also have a Pluto MC, not sure if that has any effect
My fav is Pluto as weird as that sounds
It decimates the ground and takes it all to be rebuilt
Phoenix from the ashes and the rewards it brings are immesurable
I’m almost 56, sun inconjunct Saturn and I feel like I’m still living with those rules.
My Gemini Sun is Conjunct Saturn in the 5th House.
Semi-Quincunx... Working off a Sun quintile Jupiter... My Saturn (Gemini) & Pluto (Libra) trine exact... But both work off a Mercury (Aries) exact... lol
Sun conjunct Saturn 9 degrees Cap 11th. I'm in my second return to boot! Oh, what to do, what to do.
Xxx
How about when Saturn is exactly conjunct your north node? Lucky me 😌
l have this aspect sun conjunct saturn in 10th house scorpio where saturn have lowest degree l also have mercury in 10house , l still dont know what l should study or work with smh
thank you
My Sun and Saturn are combust in Taurus in the 7th house.
Judd looks great here
Sat at 3.17 scorpio in 10th, sun 11.08 leo in 8th. So 82 degree square. Dad died in 7th grade. Rising is 7 capricorn... yep hard way...
Steve another school shooting here in USA. 25mi northwest of Indiana. Noblesville Middle School @ 8:40am est
Hello Steve love your videos , do you still offer readings for people ? Thanks !
Aloha Steve, Ty so much for your daily inspirations and your amazing insights into astrology. How about doing a chart for the actual day of Prince Harrys' wedding? If u have already done this, I must have missed it. Ty again!
Thanku ....
What about Sun Bi- quintile ?
No.
My Saturn is conjunct Pluto and both are in retrograde. What on earth does that represent?
Saturn in 1st opposing Sun, so true about structure - educated in architecture, banking, taxes and legal field, worked for the government agencies all my life finally at 50 got fed up with their games, lack of efficiency and laziness - must be Mars in 6th...
Saturn did not slow down after 43 for me, I just got to used to it and take it without "Why me?"
thank you nobody is covering sun opposite of saturn
Saturn square sun + saturn conjuct my north node. yes, very difficult... 😪
I have Saturn square sun and moon too
Amelia what is your experience so far?
bijhua - cold family, no affection... setbacks at work, exhaustion, depression, chronic fatigue.
@@wassabi-g7p I’m 42…. Hasn’t got any better!!! Saturn in my 10th house, sun in my 2nd house and moon in my 8th house.
Steve, what do you think about combust planets?
Sun trine Saturn dad was seldom there he was there but I was never around had to go find my own way..
my sun in capri 10H trine taurus saturn in 2H , what say
Would this also be the case if you have Saturn in your first house? Thanks Steve. Always love your work.
Sun 12H Leo Square Saturn 3H Scorpio (very accurate)
Sun opposite saturn 1:46
For sun trine Saturn.. we are all alone in discovering what it means to be a man? Like we can’t find a mentor or coach or something bc I think that’s pretty harsh interpretation if so.
I have my sun conjunct Saturn in Cap
