As a public school American that whole thing was 100% accurate! Like everyone gave 5-10$ and we got a paper slice with 2 cookies, and half a cup of sprite! We all rioted about getting our money back, but it was too late!

Always felt like a pizza party meant getting 10 XL pizzas, 6 12 packs of soda every kind Pepsi, Coke, Sprite, Mountain Dew, with bread sticks, plenty of marinera, garlic Knott's, and the pizza hut or domino's brownies or chocolate chip cookies.
Each student gets to select TWO songs that will go into a class playlist for music and the classroom chairs and desks will be out to one side of the room while beanbags, rugs, blankets, pillows, and the Wi-Fi password or hotspot is given to all students in the class. Personal devices are allowed for taking photos, making memories.
Bring in board games, card games, and an extra teacher to supervise if some students want to go outside to play, study, or enjoy their afternoon.
As long as you aren't hurting anyone or anything, anything goes and you'll have from 12:00pm - 3:00pm to do whatever you like while I'm the class or in the outdoor area. Just don't cause a scene to piss off the school and we're great.

I remember having a Christmas party, the teacher bought 4 large pizzas and my entire class was so hyped, we even were able to bring tons of drinks, juices, sodas and everything it was fire, I really do miss 5th grade.

This is pretty on point. When I used to live in New York, during 3rd grade our Teacher would allow us to have snack time for 15 minutes, but this teacher was crooked. She told everyone at the beginning of the year to ask their parents to buy them a big bag of snacks and she'd keep them safe. Instead after she took all the snacks, each day she would use one random kid's snacks and share it across the classroom. My mom was pissed.

Once at my school my the teacher didn't get us pizza instead she bought us all chick-fil-a boxes with a chicken sandwich and a cookie. We didn't raise money for it either it all came from her own pockets which must have been a lot since we were the largest class at our school. She's the best teacher I've had so far.

A 5th grade party in 1981, Mrs. Holly ordered a Detroit style pizza. Everybody was excited, it was a winter break party. We watched as she cut the pizza into these microscopic atoms. I got some crust and marinara sauce, apple juice, and a chocolate chip cookie. Half. Nobody dared to confront her, she was STRICT. She gave us winter break, Thanksgiving break, and spring break homework. At lunch, everybody devoured their lunch like monsters. 42 years later, I still remember Mrs. Holly. I'm pretty sure she's passed.

Bro my teachers would buy these HUGE pizzas, you know those, and she would feed these HUGE pizzas to like only 10 kids because I was one of the “special kids” who got all there work done. I’m so lucky that my pizza parties were quality. She also brought wings and big bottles of soda 🤤
I didn’t exactly have this but my teacher did do something else like this though. Similar requirement: no missing work, good grades throughout all classes, and no absences. For the whoever fit into that in the class, they would get to go into nice events with free stuff and have freetime while everyone else was doing boring stuff or missing out. There was ice-cream ones and you would be able to get a bowl of course and it wasn’t some one scoop bs, the whole bowl would be full and there was Oreos, gummy bears, sprinkles and all sorts of other stuff you could get a nice amount of too. At the end of the year there would be a sort of end of the year party there too and there would be loads of chips, cookies, and cans of soda. There was a chip bag that wasn’t a winner though and it was some tortilla chips, bc there was no dip. The teacher wasn’t sure what to do with that leftover bag so she asked who wanted it and I instantly took the opportunity and at the end of the day I went on the bus with a big smile on my face because the family size bag of tortilla chips was mine now.
Man that teacher would make me mad because she would be on everyone for the smallest things but she was at least nice enough to do those special days though.
