Do you think AI and automation will take over PCB designers any time soon? P.S : we are trying new clickbaity thumbnails and titles 😬. We are trying our best to make sure it's not misleading. Let us know what you think about it?
There is a freerouting kicad plugin in the package manager which has better integration with pcb editor. All you have to do is just to click the autorouter icon.
Hi, I have used auto-routing on my design and despite the fact that I have set the track width for my GND 5V and 3.3V to .3mm and signal track widths to .2mm I noticed that autoroutes uses the same width as .2mm for GND 5V and 3.3V instead of .3mm but then when I manual route I get correct track width of .3mm. I wonder why ?? need I set the track width in autoroute ??
Hi how autorouting pcb to pcb wire connection without parts Because I want to make a conversion from the ESP32 bord to the arduino board by passing the wires from the pin of the ESP32 bord to the pin of the arduino board without parts.
@pcbcupid ah! That makes sense. I'm fairly new to kicad and was trying to avoid the schematic page as it seemed like extra work but I'll give it a try!

Very Good.
Thank you! Cheers!
Good idea
Thank you!

How do you set up the connection points between components?
That's we'll be done automatically based on the schematic that you design.

@@stevenmiller279 Goodluck!!
Is there an automated component placement tool?
Not any I'm aware off, please don't mind dropping the link once you find any ;)
Place -> Auto place footprints (it's at the bottom)
Vanilla kicad, new in 7.0
@@kerr1221 thank you!
Bro i am getting this error , java.lanf.NoClassDefFoundError , but already installed java in my PC
How to auto route in single layer board?? I'm tired to searching the solution
Well it seems to be quite bad with anything more than 60ish tracks basically needs a ton of time or might never finish..
Yes, agreed. We faced this issue a couple of times.
bro can you pls give the java link
