Now this was fantastic. One of the best organised bus conversions I've seen. You sure this is your first build/conversion? Good Job and fantastic adventures surely awaits you.
Awesome build and journey so far! Looking forward to seeing more. Can you share some links you used as resources for your build (choosing/finding which bus to buy, researching layout plans, etc)
Thanks Rahan! We didn't really research what bus to buy, we went to a yard and looked at a bunch to choose which style we wanted and then spoke to a few mechanics about which engine types are best. as for layout plans we drew our own but we probably watched every single tour video on youtube over the course of planning. If I were you I'd just dive in and start writing down little things you like.
This reminds me of a verse from one of my favorite songs: Escaping through the lily fields, I came across an empty space It trembled and exploded, left a bus stop in its place The bus came by and I got on, that's when it all began Van looks great, now comes the adventure
Great to see the bus conversion. I didn't expect that you did the outside of the bus just by a roller and painting it yourself. And eveybody coming over to help. Enjoy traveling!
Congratulations on completing the build and hitting the road! Should be starting our build soon of a classic 19 ft class C acquired for the absolutely best price of free. So, not as solid a base as you started with! I'm hoping old school simplicity and a few mechanical skills, along with throwing money at it will revive this prize.
Thank you! And yes we’re so very thankful for all of the support on our channel that has allowed us to monetize the videos. We’re using the ad revenue for gas to take us on more adventures that we can share with you all!!
Awesome series so far, is there anything you would change about your layout/build or anything you wish you did or didnt do? Im at the tear down stage of the chevy version of your bus right now.
So glad you enjoy!! As far as layout goes, we absolutely love how it functions thus far. Two things we skipped on were hot water and WiFi (figured we could add it later). A warm shower is something we both miss very much lol...we’ll be adding that in soon. Best of luck on your build, feel free to reach out if you have any questions along the way!
Hi Christian! Thank you! We used rustoleum paint from Lowes. It's not intended specifically for cars, just metal but it's holding up. When we looked for paint there were only a few green shades to choose from, I believe it was sage.
Thanks Kristen!! That would be such a great adventure, we love trailer tiny homes. We’ve been parking on fairly unpopulated city streets. It took some hunting, but we found a handful of places we can rely on.
We went with the Renogy system. They have a deal on Amazon for 4 100w panels and the charge controller. Then we did the 200ah Renogy GEL batteries and 2000w inverter

We have the same name and the same bus! So stoked, good luck on your conversion!
Hey this is great! What is the finished floor to ceiling height inside the bus?
Thank you! About 6'3
Love the videos and the journey. What color and paint color did you guys use? Love that color

@@bonafideoutside awesome thank you soo much
Where did y’all get the seat for passenger! I’m building out the same style bus and love that idea!
From am old ford explorer via fb marketplace
So what was the final numbers of the trips to the store?
Final number of trips to the store: 127!
Such a big fan of your bus! How did you end up latching your door when you removed the original handle hardware? Thanks!
Long story short...we rigged it for $10. Shoot us an email and we’re happy to send over photos and a quick break down. Bonafidebus@gmail.com
I absolutely adore this build! Also what was final tally of how many times you went to the store? I'll say 124 😁❤
We adore you! So good hearing from ya again :) and thank you as always :) Total trips came out to 127 - you were sooooo close 😂👍
@@bonafideoutside no way! Lol I didn't think I would be that close 😅😂. I'm glad you read and reply to our comments ❤
😂😂 too funny. Of course! We love talking to you guys
did you have to get a different type of license to drive a bus?
You do not! You don’t have to for many RVs too lol kinda scary, also kinda rad
Love you videos! I’m in Southern CA right now and we are wanting to sell our house and live in a trailer tiny home! How do you find places to park!.
Thanks Kristen!! That would be such a great adventure, we love trailer tiny homes. We’ve been parking on fairly unpopulated city streets. It took some hunting, but we found a handful of places we can rely on.
What solar panel kit did yall use?
We went with the Renogy system. They have a deal on Amazon for 4 100w panels and the charge controller. Then we did the 200ah Renogy GEL batteries and 2000w inverter
What kind of fire place did you install?
Lol I found it. Love the content and the build. You guys are great!
No problem! Yeah cubic mini brand. Honestly though after a year of living with it wish we’d gotten a diesel heater instead. Just installed one
what’s the material in the shower? 🙂
Galvanized steel. We picked it up from Menards/Home Depot it’s cheap and easy to manipulate if you have metal blades for your saw
I just can't tell u how proud I am for u both. U really r forward thinking. U make really wise choices with your time and money.
Inspired by others and driven to make it a reality! Thanks for the kind words :)
