I'm just confused because my whole athletic career from 6th grade up to college, my coaches always told me to have my feet within the framework of my body... a balanced position. It gave me explosiveness but always gave me balance. Im just confused with how he said have your feet wider than your shoulders.
You coaches all along were telling you wrong. Keeping your feet inside your shoulders promotes a stance/stride that is too narrow not allowing a solid base. I would imagine if you had any video of your swing, live, that after your stride that your feet were farther apart than you thought. Granted there are quite a few things he says and demonstrates that I disagree with, but overall ok. I am surprised of the level, or lack of at this level of play.
@@richardlovell7316 I think it's matter of opinion. I don't see how you can say someone is wrong when it's all based on the player. A good coach knows how to make adjustments to each player and can see what works/ doesn't work.
@@LaterBall I don't disagree with your statement for the most part, but It's also based on Physics and bio-mechanics. Once the front foot/heel plants on the ground, style ends and Technique begins. If you don't have the proper set up, then you are not going to reach your full potential. I have no problem with style being the personal choice of a player, but some things just don't make sense.
this was so helpful! My friend Abe Freedberg has been looking for ways to improve his game! I can't wait to share :)
I love softball. Thx for helping
Thx this really helped

If your feet are wider, you will 1000000000% be more balanced than a narrower stance, it can't be argued. Lol
Why are you creating a hitch in the swing by keeping her back elbow down? You either lose power or crate a hitch. Neither is good.
