OMG...blues remind me of going down south to ARKANSAS/MISSISSIPPI to visit family and lord have mercy they play some dam good blues... I wish Detroit had a blues station...LIKe 102.1 Little Rock, Ark play good blues on Saturday.
It remind of Georgia too and Gainsville, FL. Most of my family from small country town in Georgia my mom brother love blues music and some of my great aunts. My aunt husband in Gainsville play blues music.
My best friend husband was a DJ in Okinawa, Japan when I first heard this in 1980, I could not believe Marvin. I saw him sing this song to a elder lady in Little Rock, she started blushing & at the end of his song he stuck out that tongue. Her daughter and friend was sitting there & they were crying laughing. She stole the show with her reaction to Marvin song, lol.
I remember my Mother and Auntie making me leave the room to listen to this song. Then, two years later, I went to Mississippi for college and it was in the jukebox. When I heard the words, I almost passed out, lol. Then I thought about my Mom and Auntie being fast and nasty and almost passed out again!!! LMAO!!! It became one of my theme songs while at Alcorn State University!!! 😂 😂 😂 😂

I used to work construction traveling all across the United States. Had a few jobs where I met these two older black guys named Willy and Fred. They had all these old Soul and R&B CDs. I hit it off good with these guys great for being a 18 year old white boy. They introduced me to Marvin Sease, Roy c, Marvin gaye, the gap band etc. I loved it all. A year later for the same company traveling around I became a diesel mechanic apprentice for a middle aged very religious mechanic. We were sitting in a family diner for lunch in rural Kentucky. Everyone in there was 60-70+. I bee bopped over to the jukebox and this song was on there. I instantly put it on. My mechanic fell back in his seat and wanted to strangle me. Everyone kept looking over at us. We left the diner and my mechanic said "Now why on Gods green earth would you go to that jukebox and put that god forsaken song on while honest people's eating lunch?!?!?" I said dude it's a good song, if they didn't want it played they shouldn't of put it on their jukebox. Good times I miss ol willy and Fred. I even miss that old mechanic.
I remember when my family would have parties and play this song and tell all the kids to go out side. We would still here this song because they were playing it so loud. Ha ha. lol
