Very very very marginally underated band. The 3 first albums easily figure between all time 100 best heavy n hard rock list. Sadder is Kelly Johnson premature destiny with cancer. I really love these girls.

Try the guitar solo from 2:47. I'm immune to -British- Home Counties accents (due to y'know, being British) but that solo has me nipping off to Goldsmiths to buy the most expensive engagement ring I can afford!
A really nice four young ladies, talented and humble. I'm blessed to have met them and interview them for college radio. However, when I saw them Enid was replaced by Gil, another stunner. I wish you could come cross the Atlantic again.

I seem to find myself coming back to this video every few months or so and go on a Girlschool binge watch. I think it's an absolute crime this band or Kelly never got the recognition they deserved. This is probably one of the best chick bands ever and more original than most crap they put out today. It's like that Greg Khin song 'They Don't Write 'em Like That Anymore'
In all seriousness though, I feel as if music today lost a certain element of class. It would be an honor to share this knowledge of music with my children. I don't want my kids to grow up like mindless drones.

I almost peed myself laughing so hard at this comment, so true, so true. Kelly Johnson really was one of the greatest guitarists of her generation, her tone and lead work just blows me away. They always made me compare them to AC/DC, they really were that good.

Man, that was bad ass. I am really annoyed that I did not know about this band until I stumbled across them in youtube. There is something about Kelly Johnson that most musicians don't have. There is this humble coolness about her. Bon Scott had it. Phil Lynott had it. Jimi Hendrix had it. She had it too. I wish I could have seen her live at the Whiskey or some other small LA club. The Donnas sort of remind me of Girlschool and I did see them at the El Rey and I was planted right in front of the guitarist watching in awe (and lust. haha), just like I did watching this video. I will hopefully see their current line up soon!
I think if you know you are just that good it comes natural that you have to prove nothing... and be cool about it.

To perform some high energy rock and roll and they did it well)

Yes. Enid was in until '82. Then returned in '00. Out again in '19.
One of all-time favorite metal bands, period. They just happen to be girls. Denise's bro, Dave, played drums in one of the most underrated NWOBHM bands, Tytan.

This band are pretty good but their vocals are too girly they need a gutsy vocalist in the style of someone like Maggie Bell
Age has roughed their voices. Look for more recent performances.
