    One thing I love about Hindi is that you can count the number of common irregular verbs on one hand! Despite all the vocab being very different, I found the grammar aspects of Hindi pretty approachable as an English speaker.

    Best way to learn any language is TOTAL IMMERSION . So learn by Writing sentences . That way you are engaging different parts of brain , thus maximising learning .

    Hindi is a national language for India as majority of Indians speak and understand hindi. Learning hindi itself is like a nector. It is very sweet and beautiful language. Our country has many regional languages. All are good languages with rich literature. May the god bless all our foreign brothers and sisters to appreciate our indian languages and culture. Let all of unite each other with a mankind.

      @@laithalabri8456 yes you are right.. National language can't be a status in multi-linguistic countries like India, Singapore hence, official languages. We should be inclusive of all the languages and differences.

    yah is not usually used, we use ye for plural and singular, yah is very old speech
    also there is a slight difference between "hain" and "hai" and that’s the nasal sound of "n"
    if you don’t understand which one they are saying, you can check with the pronoun they are using!
    with aap its always hain and with tum its always hai

    Thank you soo much Hindipod have very clear teaching. Am staying in India right now i really love to learn Hindi mainly because i stay in Meerut UP most people speak Hindi, As a person who love to reach out to people I really would love to speak to the people with their own tongue. Please where can i get more exactly like this lecture. A fulll course of spoken hindi like this not just theoratical. Please owner of the channel or anyone help.

    thank you for making video but honestly, you put up the screens reading explanations in English for a long time (we know English...) but zip fast past the Hindi screens so you have to pause/rewind/pause/rewind... !!

    Based on 5:28 “hoNaa” means “to be” . So 6:03 is a typo & “hain” means “are” and not “to be”

    2:12 in sanskrit the 'a' is always there on the consonant but i was told that in Hindi it is not always....here the transliteration shows that the 'a' is here ka-ra-taa...it's not kartaa? the woman doesn't pronounce the 'a' she seems to say kartaa

      Don't know much abt Sanskrit but in Hindi it's karta, which means to do. If you say it as karata it would actually change the meaning. It would them mean to make someone else do something.

    Just to be clear: to my ears Hai and Hain are pronounced exactly the same... and so are Yah and Ye and Vah and Ve, they sound identical to me.

      Pinch your nose and say "Land", that's the nasal sound you make when you say "Hain". In fact, the La- sound in Land sounds almost exactly like "hain" just different consonants.

      Also, Hai and "Hey" are similar. Absolutely no nasal sound. The letter N is used to express a nasal sound in general after vowels when Hindi is written in the Roman alphabet.

      Matthew C it is identical.....all are identical.For beginners vah and yah the h is pronounced but when experienced the h is not pronounced,at least that’s what I was told....

    Actually Autorickshaw is feminine too. As far as I've heard, we say "Autorickshaw aa rahi hai" and not "Autorickshaw aa raha hai".

      @@pragsv6719 Nope. If it's only "Auto", then "aa raha hai" would be correct. However "Rickshaw" is always "aa rahi hai".
      At least that's how everyone says it in Mumbai.

      It depends on the person (or object) which the word is describing.
      For example, if you are in a conversation with a female.
      1. I am good - main achha hoo
      2. You are good - aap achhi hai

      Those ... ve(sounds exactly "way") Those(ve) boys(ladke) mad(pagal) are(hain)... U can use Vah for any of he,she,it or noun(singular)

      "Ye" is used in speaking , Yah is used in writing.. Yah is correct but Ye is very commonly used..

      Yes ...there is in very minor difference in 'ye' and 'yah'.. but you can use any both of them in sentence the meaning is not changed.. but 'ye' word is vey use in hindi instead of 'yeh' .it is vey rare case use 'yeh' in sentence .

    In English it is NEUTER gender not Neutral. Neutral generally refers to Electrical Charge OR no inclination towards any of the rival political parties!
