Sandwiching sounds like what the big firms was doing, if they're not still doing it. They were trading millions of times ahead of you because they had a faster connection to the internet or something. High freqiency trading.

I don't think that's "tutoriable"... too complex. At least, you can have a look by yourself at the example files located in the codebase of some of the most famous protocols (aave, balancer, uniswap...), most include a flashloan/arbitrage smart-contract.

I don't think it makes any sense for him to show you anyway. Although it is conceptually simple, it is actually quite complex to build and you won'tbe able to use if you don't have a solid understanding of AMMs. I have built my own arbitrage tool as well and it was no easy task (I am a full-time smart contract engineer with 4 years of experience). First, you need to ensure that your tool can "speak" the language of multiple DEX protocols (many are based on Uniswap v2/v3 but still come with differences here and there). Then, you must fully understand the mathematics behind each Automated Market Maker involved, and create a robust methodology to determine the arbitrage profitability and the optimal trade, considering gas fees, price impact, slippage, etc. Additionally, you have to significantly optimize your smart contracts and ensure they are MEV-resistant, include some form of frontrunning protection, etc. Moreover, you must continuously improve your tool, as you are always competing with other arbitrageurs. The design of the tool's architecture itself is no easy task either. On the other hand, the multitude of challenges means that the competition is not overwhelming, so if you manage to create a reasonably decent arbitrage tool, the strategy will likely be profitable.

It's funny to me that arbitrage is not legally considered market manipulation even though it's the definition of market manipulation.
It is, you can't do this in Binance for example, and if UniSwap or SushiSwap are letting it run is because they are doing the same. You can't use this in Binance DEX, for example.
