Do yourself a favour and do Tina’s duet with Aussie legend Jimmy Barnes.... “ Simply The Best”.
As Tina was one of Jimmy’s idols, he behaved himself and gave what is probably his best ever “ subdued “ performance and vocals.
Also features Mark Lizotte ( Johnny Diesel ) on guitar.

I had the privilege of seeing her in concert for my 50th birthday - she was in her early 70s. She wore 3 inch heels, a short short dress, danced, sang and tore that stage UP for several hours! We lost a great woman and I am glad she found peace in my country in the last three decades. (Also, she is in her 60s in this video, singing and dancing in high heels... God, how is this possible? I can not sit still, when I hear music like that and I am 42 and have a damaged knee (should not really dance, I do not care). Maybe it is, because I started with "rytmische Sport gymnastic" by the age of 5 and always did something sport related. I can not understand that people just never give a sh.... about that. I can dance 2-3 hours, in my 20s, without ecstasy, the whole night! I still love Rock and Metal like nothing else. And, I do not think, that she had "special once", but "dance shoes" are also existing with heels (I have some myself). Sorry, but I truly can not understand it, unless you had a very bad extent, or can not walk since childhood.

The remarkable Tina Turner was 61 when she did this performance. Believe or not, Tina was much wilder in her younger years. Watch her doing "River Deep, Mountain High" the live performance from 1969 to see really vintage Tina. I had the great pleasure of seeing her live do "River" during that very year. RIP to the longtime Queen of R&B/rock.

@Colin Shard - 100% agree... I was there with "Foreign Affair Farewell Tour 1989/1990"... That lady was always amazing, even back there. She was amazing back there all the way. Respect.

Tina took a great song and turned it into an entire production. And yes, that anticipation is part of it. The audience knows what's coming, wants it to get "nice and rough," but are willing to wait because it is WORTH the wait. Tina was worth the wait.
Award shows are stupid. Rarely am I interested in them. But at one, many years ago, John Denver introduced Tina Turner by calling her, "The woman who taught all other women how to dance in high heels." That was Tina. She will be missed.

Tina did everything the men did in rock music and she did it in heels! She’s the undisputed Queen of Rock and Roll. She had the best legs in show business. Rip Anna Mae Bullock. Her legacy is secure in the hands of young people like yourself. New to your channel and subbed.

Tina was my first crush as a young boy. I dont know what it was about her. Her presence, her voice, her legs?!?!?!?! It was just her. I'm not ashamed to say i cried when I heard of her passing.

I saw Tina Turner in September of '93 at the Desert Sky Pavilion, an outdoor venue in Phoenix, AZ. Now it's called Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre.
Chris Isaak opened for her ... a memorable evening for sure.
