Graphene is a marvelous material with many applications that can have vast economic impact if exploited.

The wonderful creativity that went in to these discoveries brought me much joy. It's good to see science trying to solve real world issues, and not just better ways for us to kill each other.

Actually, many of those North American academics work for the military one way or another, often proudly so.

+bitcoinmeetups If you look at what I said you will see that no where do I mention or even hint at government contractors or military. I said SCIENCE. But since brought the subject up, let's examine it with open minds and a truthful heart. A great scientists once said when asked what the most deadly weapon to come out of WWII was? He replied...The secret stamp. When innovation and progress are hoarded and burried under layers of lies, and only a select few even know it exist, but all of humanity suffer because of its absence, than it is a blight on SCIENCE. I proudly served my country, but, as a patriot, I do not see government as the answer. Too many people in government blindly follow without thinking, without heart, without understanding.

Good to see progress made , with gov. support, for clean coal via a graphene filter.

39:48 Use of a log scale to make the difference between capacitors and batteries look less than it actually is. It's actually a factor of ten.

i have water and table salt, i can buy a light scribe off ebay, but where can i get graphite and how much is it per kg?
is there anything else i have to do?

Why can we not 3D print some graphene?! or print them in some manner? i wonder what applications cymatics could have on science & technology other than 2d rubens tubes.. has anyone else heard of the hoverboards that require liquid nitrogen? we could possibly cover them in aerogel to keep in the cold.

3D printers aren' precise enough for that scale. Only million dollar expensive CNC might be able to reach the 0,001 precision but that is too big too (1µm= 1000 nanoMeters). Cheapest way is how they show in the video/papers.

New materials? See White Dwarf (a meta material) on LinkedIn. It's been up for more than two years already. Absolutely fascinating.

It will definitely take the money out of the oil companies and put it in the power companies.

It is now so really easy to produce very good conducting polymers sheets and you do not need any acids. All you need is liquid Hydrogen graphite and polymer. And you do not need to be scientist, all you need is to observer carefully. In fact you even do not need polymers in some advanced processes.

~ almost thought you were going to show the Graphene skinned interstellar space ship drive on the next slide at 37:00
= know problem0; my leading comment shall just have to wait a little longer for its apportioned time & your research disclosures, were almost there Prof. Kaner :)
