Wow ! Seeing a real comparison helped me realize it’s worse to just go dig one up out of a field.Lot of guys on RUclips are doing that. Great video, very informative and to the point. Great editing again. I’ve been shopping around for quality desert plans so I’m glad I stumbled across your videos. I’ll be a future customer for sure
Thank you for the two fantastic videos you have posted. Us Rostrata lovers sure would love additional videos on care of Rostratas, especially in colder climates and how to care for Rostratas in Winter (watering, sunlight etc.). Thanks!
The Big Bend Yucca is the ideal plant for dried up Southern California. The trunk grows only one centimeter a year, but it has many advantages. Cold residue, for example. An Evergreen. I grow them myself, on a small scale.
I've seen this exact thing with my Yuccas, and even had some of the wild ones eventually dying. Thanks for posting this and clearly showing the advantages.
Hello Tropical PDX Thanks so much for commenting and reaffirming that you have had the same experience with wild dug yuccas. A major reason I decided to go into online retail is to give buyers easier access to high quality farm raised yucca. I've seen your videos and am impressed with your passion for gardening. If you are in the market for another rostrata please write to me. I think it would be awesome if you could do a video with one of my plants.
@@bigbendyuccacompany3955 I definitely will if I find a spot for one. I like the Y faxoniana you have, they look pretty impressive but wouldn't want to get stabbed by one!
Just received one from Amazon a couple days ago.. Found you guys yesterday. Needless to say I have a return authorization headed my way. And will be ordering from you guys hopefully today.
Hi Jamey, Thank you so much for buying a farm raised yucca from BBYC. This is Saturday night, and I see your order on my shopify webstore We will dig your two yuccas tomorrow and have them packaged and ready for Monday shipping with UPS. I will send you a tracking number. It is very satisfying to know plants from my farm will be part of your landscape. Again, thank you.
Unfortunately individuals take Yuccas and Cacti out of the desert not taking into consideration how long it takes them to develop, the pollen and food sources they have removed from the animals and insects who depend on them, Very sad...

I agree, Southern California is an ideal place for Yucca rostrata. With a little bit of water, they can grow a bit faster than 1 centimeter a year.
