Good to see you doing bow reviews. Your strings have been great on both of my bows. Bear rarely has a bow that is ready to shoot out of the box and everyone should plan on having it tuned properly when you first get it.
The roller slide is excellent, but the guide rod is adjustable to bring the cables towards or away from the arrow. I got mine adjusted so the cables have the same clearance as the riser window at the berger hole. I also got mine quieted down with reduced vibration using brass speed nocks in lieu of the string grubs, and a pair of cat whisker string silencers. I'll be making a new set of strings for it since I like my arrows clocking right; the stock strings clock my arrows left. Plus, I make pretty good strings with 452x and Halo servings. This bow is an awesome value bow that shoots excellent!!
Best strings and prices in the business. I have a bow that Jeremy frankensteined for me back in like 2013 I think. It is an 80lb k&k vengeance with binary cams made for the k&k bows. It’s been sitting fkr a while but the strings and cables still look great and it seems to still be in tune.
Great video...I ordered the Alaskan XT a couple months ago from my local sportsman shop (I like to support my local guys) and when it finally came in I noticed it had excessive cam lean, also. The 'archery' guy at my shop called Bear and they said it's 'normal.' Regardless, he put another slim washer on the axle and said it's better. I am picking it up Friday. What do you mean by 'putting some twists in the able' to straighten it out? Also, what do you recommend to solve that peep sight issue? Thank you in advance!
I just got this same bow in the mail last Friday ordered it from lancaster archery. Realized my cam was damn near touching one of my limbs and it was cocked away from the string bad. Do i need to have the shims swapped or will just twisting a cable fix this. This is my first hybrid cam bow so its all new. Ud think as big as a company Bear is theyd take better pride in aligning their products up before shipping rm out the door!!!! Or the place u order a bow from checks this kinda shit.
We like to make it a challenge, those who complete the challenge are elevated to "super bowman" status, then we allow them to view our inventory after completing the necessary questionnaires, exams, and shooting challenges.
I had a super-tune and new strings/cables done on my bow at the Archery Shack. Next to the bow itself, it was the best money I spent.

Thanks for the review. Heard this was a great bow for the price and with you getting your hands on one is great.

Thanks for the review. What do you think of this bow compared to the Bear Legend XR?
