I got a Legit last year that had significant cam lean and timing issues right outta the box Once I squared that away, it shoots pretty nice. I still have some tinkering to do to it, it's a little noisy... Gonna upgrade the rest and sight. We'll see? I really want to love it. Just not quite there yet.🙂

when you add the string, does it matter which end goes on the string cam post so the serving for the loop ends up correct spot or is it all centered from the ends?

Nice content.. quick question, when you work on these older mathews solocam bow (really any I guess), do you back off the limb bolts to lighten the draw weight/stress on limbs prior to putting in press?

We did everything you advised and our post was still takin down immediately on our PSE archery kit. Others have the bow wording and they are still on there. Dont understand.

On a pse if its clicking its the mod usually. i had to take mod off and put grease on backside and bolt back down

You're penetration test did not break the blades you broke the blades trying to pull it back out. You can't pull them out you have to push them through.

I don’t get the “buy a new bow every year, every 5 years, every 10 etc” A bow is a bow and all modern flagship bows dating back 25 years are absolutely lethal on deer. I’m a buy once cry once guy. If my bow, or any gear, doesn’t give me a reason to replace it i don’t. Awesome bow

i was getting excited about these bows till you said they need the strings upgraded from the factorty. the reason im looking at a new bow is my old one i was wanting to get a string for but supposedly a new bow isnt much more money. i just want something inexpensive that will work for years with any extra worry or stress. the only thing i want to do is put my own sight on it so itll have what im used to shooting.

I had the exact same bow patriot edition. Could not stand it. It was nothing compared to my v3x or the ss34. Haven’t shot a Hoyt since.

My sights light doesn't seem to work out of the box. I removed the plastic housing and the plastic spacer but still get no illumination. Anyone else have this issue? Did I miss something? I am brand new so I assume operator error but maybe it's just defective.

Great video...I ordered the Alaskan XT a couple months ago from my local sportsman shop (I like to support my local guys) and when it finally came in I noticed it had excessive cam lean, also. The 'archery' guy at my shop called Bear and they said it's 'normal.' Regardless, he put another slim washer on the axle and said it's better. I am picking it up Friday. What do you mean by 'putting some twists in the able' to straighten it out? Also, what do you recommend to solve that peep sight issue? Thank you in advance!

Going to attempt the 125 grain Deadmeat for Elk and deer this year? SEVR interesting to me also…. My guide said expect up to 80 yard opportunities so going mechanical for flight at distance. Always been a slick trick viper trick fan for fixed heads.
