I love how all the instruments switch thier places, but the ocarina? The ocarina sounds in places very similar to their original versions... like if it is all the temple who's been upside down, but link stills there!

I heard from a RUclips musician that it sounds like an ocarina, but it’s actually Skull Kid’s flute.

I prefer the inverted version. Plus it makes me think about how strange it felt walking on the ceiling, with the sky underneath… I can assure you I did not fall lol

While I prefer the regular version, the inverted version has really grown on me lately.
Overall, Stone Tower Temple is my favorite Zelda dungeon of all times.

@@NeoArashi there are reasons for that of course, it was very original. Actually Majora’s Mask is my favorite Zelda, even though I really like Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time as well

I like to imagine the Stone Tower is where the Interlopers kept the Triforce, where they used the power of (or were ruled by) Majora’s Mask to rule their own clan and use the Triforce to give themselves nigh-omnipotent power.
The Stone Tower has a lot of imagery of blasphemy and spite towards the gods of Hyrule. The moving blocks in the temple are in the shapes of demons sitting on the Triforce or with the Triforce on their tongues, as if to signal their own perverted, unrestricted control of the Triforce. Outside the entrance to the temple, there is a statue of a hand with a flaming finger pointing up to sky, as if to directly spite the gods. The Stone Tower temple itself also seems to directly mirror the Tower of Babel, a mythical tower made in defiance of the gods.
This would explain why Ikana Valley is so dead: the gods literally came there to smite the interlopers. Din’s flaming wrath, Farore’s wind and Nayru’s deluge literally created the world, so it can be assumed that wherever they visited their wrath would end up looking something like Ikana. The undead roaming the valley weren’t caused by Skull Kid at all: something *else* caused the valley to become the decrepit, cursed hellscape that it is, and I think the gods might be to blame. We know from Twilight Princess that the gods and their servants can be heavy-handed when it comes to punishing mortals, and I think Ikana Valley might be the best example we get of that.
It would also explain why the first room in the Stone Tower temple bears the visage of Majora’s Mask. We know the Interlopers have the Fused Shadow in the present, but I think the Fused Shadow is just a Twili recreation of Majora’s Mask. The mask was “sealed away in shadow” just like the interlopers, but since the Hyruleans used the Mirror of Twilight to banish more than just the interlopers, it’s possible that someone (maybe the Happy Mask Salesman) was sent through the portal, yoinked the original Majora’s Mask, and somehow escaped the Twilight Realm. I also suspect that, given the sheer power and autonomy of Majora’s Mask, that it could have found its own way out of the Twilight Realm and back into Hyrule.
I know it might seem like a crackpot theory, but with how much inspiration Twilight Princess takes from the N64 Zelda titles, I think the pieces are all there for this theory to check out.
