very useful mam. i am using your videos along with taking formal lessons with a face to face guru. i am a student of hindustani classical vocal for 6 years and have learnt many ragas. I did learn for sometime in my younger days for about 7 years which included madhyalay bandishes, bhajans, ghazals, playing harmonium. Now as an adult, i have reached the level of learning how to sing tarana, vilambit khayal in different ragas and some thumri.

NILESHKUMAR PANCHAL namashkar mr. nileshkumar. Thank you very much. But what i also know is very little. As you know, music is an ocean. As the great MS subbulakshmi said, " there is no end to learning" "It goes on forever" l have also had training in carnatic classical vocal. I am sure you have learnt the beginner raags like yaman, bhupali, malkauns, bhimpalasi, kafi, and maybe bhairav or asavari. I am not sure which raags your guru has taught you. But I am most definitely sure that he/she will have taught you yaman, bhupali, kafi, and bhairav raags as these as beginner raags. My advice is to you is to keep singing these raags until you get a good handle with sur, aroh, avaroh, and pakad, and swar patterns until your guru moves on to other raags. I hope this helps.
