  • In this video I will tell you about my valuable coin "10 Baht 1989 Rama IX" from Thailand. It is a rare alloy error coin. I inherited this coin from my late grandfather. He bought this coin for about 8 thousand dollars from an old coins shop in Thailand. This coin was issued by Thailand during the reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). Metal composition of this coin is bimetallic - Aluminium bronze center in Copper-nickel ring. Its weight is 8.5 gram, diameter is 26 mm and thickness is 2 mm. Edge of this coin is reeded segmentally. There are 5 reeds on each segment. Obverse of the coin features bust of King Rama IX facing left. Reverse of the coin shows Wat Arun - Temple of the Dawn, with Chao Phraya river in the front. This coin was minted at Instituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello State, Rome, Italy. Its a beautiful coin. It is worth mentioning that my coins are not for sale. I just want to share my coins collection and knowledge with the viewers.
