I've gotten used to it, but I've often been uncomfortable with how the showwriters tended to cut verses out of two-person songs. _Defying Gravity_, _Take Me or Leave Me_, and _For Good_ being particular examples (also, incidentally, Idina Menzel/Lea Michele songs . . .)

Personally I think that seasons 2 and 4 are the best seasons for their friendship. I mean season 3 may have the storyline of applying to NYADA but they are mainly focused on their relationships with Finn and Blaine. Then in season 5 it has Rachel focused on coping with Finn’s death and Funny Girl and Kurt with his engagement to Blaine. Also while season 6 may have them coaching New Directions together Rachel is mainly focused on getting back on her feet and Kurt is dealing with Blaine’s relationship with Dave Karofsky. With season 1 while they are mainly at each other’s throats there are some sweet moments like them being dance partners during Keep Holding On and waving to each other in the hallway, also with the intervention about Rachel’s relationship with Jesse, I believe Kurt wanted Rachel to end it not because they were worried about losing their set list but mainly because he didn’t want her to get her heart broken and then he goes with the guys to confront Vocal Adrenaline about Rachel getting egged. In season 4, they are basically the subplot as they are living together in New York and helping each other with their break ups. But season 2 has got to be the best of their friendship even though it’s just starting, it also shows how much Rachel cares about Kurt, I mean she prays for his dad to get better, she offers to sing a duet with him, she helps him with his audition but I think the biggest thing she did was encouraging the glee club to stand up to Karofsky for him and he shows how much he cares for Rachel as a friend, I mean he goes to her for help with his audition instead of Mercedes, was cheering the most for her at regionals and helps her with her plans on what she wants to do after high school.

Hairopghy, then in duets she was the only to see he was lonely, she got others together to protect him, he asked her for help and sang Don't cry of me argentina, talk at Sectionals, sleep over with Mercedes, even little disagreement over Blaine were steps to this moment and then you know over the summer while she was with Finn he was dating Blaine they spent a lot of time together. Rachel and Kurt had the same interests .

The studio recordings that you can buy are the full versions, they just cut the songs in the scenes so the episodes don't go for too long.
