- Actor Nick Nolte has been known to play some tough-talking characters in his time. These days he's playing a tough-talking former President on the TV series "Graves," while also finding time for some Questions & Answers with Lee Cowan
Nolte, what an actor, the range, the pain behind those eyes, that's what makes his art so effective. One of the greatest actors in American cinema history.
Alex Ibanez My first memory of Nick Nolte was seeing him in "Rich Man, Poor Man" and he was truly amazing and i was totally blown away by him. Nick was also oustanding in the film "Prince of tides". Nick is so naturally talented that i like to think he is what all other actors try to aspire to.
Hes like the grandpa lol tinkering around in the garage with a hidden bottle of bourbon somewhere
He has always been a crusty man in his acting. In other words, just playing himself. Not a great actor, but yes a troubled actor. Great is hardly a word to use on him. Always had a drug and alcohol problem.
Yes. Definitly. A genious, the same level as Jack Nicholson, Robert de Niro, Al Paccino and others. Same league as those guys.
Nick Nolte is one of my favorite actors of all time.
me too
His character broke my heart in Warrior. Amazing performance.
Same here. Legendary 😁
The fact that hes had those battles in real life
He has spoken.
He has always been so down to earth. A handsome, talented man in the past and an adorable bear of a man later.
I first saw Nick Nolte in Rich Man, Poor Man. He was so great in that. He's been one of my favourite actors ever since.
I have a ton of respect for the awesome talent of Nick Nolte. Such a gifted and talented man, with a body of work that speaks for itself. He could hold his own with any actor out there, period.
His take on "great actor and story" got me right in the feels! Such a great man!
Nick Nolte can hold his own with any actor!!
J S Truth! He is the best of the best for sure! Strong and powerful actor!
God, I love Nick. One of the greatest actors that will ever live.
I love Nick Nolte, his acting is up there as one of the GREATS
Love this guy, watched rich man poor man when i was a child he was burned in my heart forever he made it all feel so real.
Yes his performance in "Rich Man, Poor Man" had a profound effect on me and has always stayed with me. ❤️💚❤️
Nick always gives raw and honest acting performances, he is one of my faves. Nick is still handsome to me even though he is now 78, he still has that cheeky smile, gorgeous eyes and his charming personality. ❤️💚❤️
Great guy, acting genius, and lived hard. Respect for the big man. Q+A was pure class. One of his best acting films.
I had a Nick Nolte marathon and it was epic! He's done so many great roles.
I could watch him in Cannery Row over and over. One of my favorite movies. Great combination...Steinbeck and Nolte.
One of the best actors I have ever seen.
A great actor. very intense. volatile in life AND on the screen.
In his younger days he had the true face and image of the ultimate all American hero. He played the part of Jordache in this spirit like only a true all American hero could. Indeed, I don't think anyone else could have played this part so, so brilliantly.
Respect to Nick Nolte 48 hours is a good movie to this day
"I've struggled with everything all my life" I can relate!
His net worth is 75 million dollars... I guess his struggles are over in life
@@rontreen3278 Life struggles never end!
I met him visiting my store on A1A, Las Olas Blvd in the mid 90s, friendly kind but kept to himself, one of my favorite actors, strong but very sensitive....be well 🙏
The Last few seconds of this interview say's it all about Mr. Nolte......I'm blessed to have been around the same time he was too.
Great actor,perfect in ruff,gruff roles.
Love and joy to Nick Nolte. He has star written all over him in Rich Man Poor Man. Couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. Cape Fear was a classic.
I love his voice.. Reminds me of my grandpa, he was a rough Russian man
I met Nick Nolte at Tranca's Bar in Malibu. Very nice man
wonderfull, Me too, but it was in 1968, at El Paso, I was 20 years old, I from Belgium and I was working at Hemisfair 68 at San Antonio for the Belgian Exhibition. and I met him in the street, he wasn't an actor yet, but a bit like me lost in this town....We want to Juares to make fiesta.....it was great, and when I came to Texas , The police border asked me my passport, who had stayed hotel Mac Coy.....Nick went to the hotel to get my passport.... what a great memories.... . have a nice day. Jean paul Lejeune
Meet him too, very sweet man. His son, Brawley, my cousin and I all went to the same school growing up and he was picking up his son from school just as my uncle was picking up me and my cousin.
@@davsny5 hello Sir, if you meet again mister Nick NOLTE, thank you to say hello for me! It is a big souvenir! have a nice day. thanks a lot ! jean paul Lejeune; Belgium, jipel1947@gmail.com
I first saw him in 1976 in the TV drama series Rich Man Poor Man with Peter Strauss. Nolte is a great actor and overlooked in my opinion when people talk about top male actors.
I always forgot how absolutely great of an actor he is, until i happen to catch one of his movies on tv... I'm reminded veery quickly
Rich man Poor man was fantastic - my best film/series memory - ever
I love Nick and all he has been in. I wish that he and Robert Redford would make another movie together they are so great a chemistry together......
I came here from hulk 2003 he’s my favourite character
best (and only) thing about that movie.
In some angles he really did look a lot like Gary Busey. Both are great actors
The interviewer, when asked Nick about his addictions, the interviewer seem a little goody-too-shoes. A bit sarcastic, from what I picked up on. I was hoping Nick, would tell him off. LOVE Nick Nolte. One of the best actors, I've seen.
Love him as Tom Jordache.
Great actor-Rich Man Poor Man launched him to fame.
I can't wait to read his autobiography ' Rebel: My Life Outside the Lines'. The best actors like Dean before him are the ones that started out in the theatre in my opinion.
After all these years. I still like him. Flaws and all.
What an accurately rated actor.
One of the greatest actors ever in my opinion and i am in my 80th year and have seen all of the greats.Despite him being an alcoholic most of his life it never interfered with his talents as an actor. But at the very end of this Q&A as he seemed to break down and that was very sad and i must admit it was hard to see him like that.
“Who’ll Stop The Rain” What a masterpiece film & acting!! 👌👏👏👏
He is a Peaceful Warrior :-)

Love Nolte. Awesome actor.
Since Rich Man Poor Man, Nick has always reminded me of my older brother. Rough on the edges but a real on the inside.
One of my favorite actors.
Favorite actor of mine. That scene of him pulling his tooth, is to close to reality for me. WOW
I'll never forget that badass Texas Ranger he played in "Extreme Prejudice." He was scarier than Bo Hopkins dirty sheriff.
Hi Mister Nick Nolte, do you remember me ? I was this young Belgian guy, lost in El Paso , in june 1968....I was 20 years old. And I was working at Hemisfaire 68 at San Antonio, for the security of the Belgian exhibition. We crossed the Rio Grande to make fiesta in Juares...it was great..! when we came back to Texas and crossed the border, the police border told me...hey show us your passeport;..my passeport had stay...Hotel Mac Coy, and they stuck me against the wall...I felt me bad. And you were quite friendly, going to pick up my passeport at the hotel. Several years later, I read in the newspaper that you became an actor....a great actor. I realize how lucky I was to have met you in that extraordinary time . It' maybe the best souvenir of my youth. take care, dear Nick, and god bless you. Your friend , Jean Paul Lejeune. Belgium

Awesum little view into the soul of this man
Hold his own? He supersedes Eddie murphy and Robert Deniro
He had a similar younger upbringing and lifestyle than Robert Redford and he and redford both admitted this in there film a walk in the woods interview
He is doing good now
Voice of a rumbling V8, low on fuel with a loose parts rattling around. Top actor.
