while i don't think the outbursts were as insane with this team, i think this was bar none the most emotional pain we've seen out of all the four teams. thank you for compiling this so i may gently fall asleep at 1 am in the morning
Yeah, this route is where you’ll see Arin’s masochistic nature take a turn for the worst and start to question himself then become very depressed. I get where he’s coming from with Sonic being bad but at the same time, I feel like it’s very extreme and that he needs to stop this because he won’t gain anything from bullying Sonic. At this point, he may as will commit suicide.
@@otakumarcus dude, what the fuck? What does suicide have to do with anything? Being angry at a game and being stressed out because he has to repeat his same mistakes for a youtube show over and over would be reasonable for him to stop playing, but saying his negativity towards it is worthy of him committing self harm is really fucked up.
Arin’s rant about the Justice League movie should be seen as iconic on the level of his (similarly out-of-nowhere) subway rant. What an explosion of pure passion
Wow. I actually screamed out loud while watching arin almost fall off at the end of both the forest stage and the airship stage... i need to go sleep now.
Holy crap dude. The opening and closing songs are amazing. The best part of the video for me. The closing song in particular. Might just be the most beautiful voice I have heard in my life. What a juxtaposition: the voice of an angel singing the theme song of some crap game.
@@otakumarcus Oh I'm well aware, I've been a Grumps fan since 2015, I've watched Arin bungle up plenty of games before. Watching him play Sonic Heroes in general, however, was next level frustrating as someone who played and beat Sonic Heroes as a child, especially considering that the *highlights* of this play is 3 hours long, meaning that the total episode time he spent playing team dark is much longer than just the 3 hours, lol. I get that his gameplay suffers because he has to focus on doing a show too, but I didn't think the game was that hard as a kid
First he's shouting "Annihilation!" Then he shouts "Charge!" However he interrupts himself before he finishes saying "Annihilation!" So basically he's shouting "Annihila-Charge!"
Yo, if anyone didn't know, the theme Yamamoto uses for the intro here isnt the origional. It's the cover by NateWantsToBattle. Here's the link : ruclips.net/video/jvPV0bnI190/видео.html
So did he EVER realize the characters have three levels and it's not inconsistent, he's just at different levels with different characters giving them different abilities? There's literally little orbs that show up next to their portraits and lined up at the results screen. I guess they explained it clearly and directly in the mandatory tutorial with on screen text and gameplay examples of how it effects combat that you have to perform to continue so he ABSOLUTELY missed every part of it.
I didn’t watch the Snyder cut because it just seemed like a longer cut with scenes that don’t add anything of substance, but I still have to agree with Arin. Even so, the movie is still trash. Flash is the only important character in the situation for no reason considering he has no real motivation, the Amazonians made the stupidest choices, the writing is all around terrible, the cinematography is boring and flat, Cyborg’s entire character and his arc was totally shafted. It’s just the worst fucking movie I think I’ve ever watched. Which is in stark contrast to my friend who unironically thinks it’s just a fucking pot of gold at the end of the rainbow shit show that is the DCEU. Not to mention, he absolutely adores the joker dream scene, and when he showed it to me I just fucking laughed and that pissed him off.
At this point I think Arin should be offered a retirement plan from Sega because of the additional needs he's going to require on account of his unbottled insanity from the years of playing their games
the guy who made this is a bit hurt over arin not liking the games XD im with arin, i love the character and cartoons and film but the games are total dog shit.
The amount of comments agreeing with Arin that this game is terrible based on how he played it is sad. People won't know how fun this game is because they take game critique from a guy who got mauled by a clam in Zelda. Twice.
Yeah, Arin truly is a demon of destruction, the devil of controversy, a monster without a heart. He’s addicted to his own rage and believes that everything should be terrible because it’s better that way. He’s such a negative Nancy that I’m worried he’s unable to experience any kind of joy or fun.
I played this game all the time as a kid and I recognize that it's very flawed. There were many parts of his playthrough that frustrated me, where he'd needlessly complicate something or refuse to use the character that the scenario is obviously suited for, but that doesn't take away from the genuine design issues the game had. I still love most of the music and the enemy robot designs were usually great, and I admire the switching team members concept of the gameplay, but the execution isn't perfect. Certain camera angles that sequences in the game has, for example, are terrible and completely counter-intuitive to basic awareness of the level. Arin is far from the first youtuber to give a critical opinion of the game, yet most comments chastising his opinion treat it like he's among the _only_ people to criticize the game. Arin disliking a video game doesn't make him "obsessed with hate".
@@allendrake6960 Arin treats Sonic like a punching bag. He’s the type of person who keeps bullying someone that wants redemption and refuses to think otherwise.
I played this game back when it launched and I remember 100% it with gritting teeth. I did not enjoy the adventure but I do like some parts of it. Game is buggy as shit, and the cut-scenes are stupid. "Power of friendship" at the end is so cringe.
the game is terrible. it can be really fun and ive completed it a few times but from a game design perspective very little is consistent, you have to try and fail to get an understanding of it and a lot of the time where they mean for you to use something itll get you killed because they didnt tweak an enemy placement, platform collision, etc (see most instances of having to tornado enemies in the last couple of levels). the controls are not forgiving at all (and altho that is a fucked up kind of satisfaction in its own), when you inevitably master it, it isnt objectively good, arin did very well for having to do improv and be entertaining as well as taking breaks inbetween and having to think about other stuff. if he learnt the intricacies like how lvl 3 speed form removes shields, how he can goomba stomp instead of homing attack and so on, hed have a way easier time but the game never teaches you any of this.
I know game grumps aren't as entertaining as they used to be but if 20 minutes of boring RUclips talk is considered part of the best bits they've gone downhill farther than I thought.

second only to the spiny "NO" in super mario maker

Nope because he pressed on to do Team Chaotix
