    Nice review, I am going through the course now and pretty much agree with everything in this video. Did you notice there were some inconsistencies in the course? In some modules the video showed a different method vs the text.

      I haven't noticed, but you are probably right.

    Hi, I liked the review of this course.
    But I still did not understand, is access to the laboratory machine given for only 1 hour at all, or is there a limit of 1 hour per day?
    Since it is unlikely to be possible to practice on different tasks of a large number of modules in one hour.

    Thank you for the review, I'mm currently doing CRTP and CRTO is the next one on my list. Do you plan on tackling OSEP sometimes next year?

      thanks for your feedback, yeah I might tackle OSEP next year.

    Guacmole can be annoying. Ive never done CRTO courses but others ive noticed it messing up copy/paste and having AMSI bypasses not work correctly. Had to do it differently

    I want to take OSEP. However, since that I'm working full-time and been busy doing other personal stuff I do not have time for a challenging and long course such as OSEP. I already have OSCP and CRTP. If I had to choose between CRTE and CRTO. What would you recommend for OSEP preperation?

    • @thehackerish
      @thehackerish  Год назад

      You don't need any for OSEP preparation. Its purpose is very different from CRTE and CRTO

      Thank you so much for clarifying. How about CRTE and CRTO? Are there any important stuff that I shouldn't miss out in CRTE? because I'm planning to take CRTO@@thehackerish

    I have one question: After purchasing exam znd lab. Then CRTO certification practice lab is for 1 hour only? We need to spend more amount for practice lab separately??

    • @thehackerish
      @thehackerish  2 года назад +1

      Yes, about 40 hours should be ok

    Good review. My 2 cents about the course and exam:
    - Course: great, and only possibility to get used to cobalt strike if your company doesn't have a license yet. Also, yeah lifetime updates is great.
    - Labs: sure, it's great to have private labs, but only guided labs, so no actual trying and hacking on our own. Really a shame.
    - Exam: This was the worst of my experience. Flags not deployed, very very limited tooling, and no windows dev machine, "support" well as you say it's only Daniel and he's snarky af and really difficult to interact with, you can reset the lab, but not individual machines, even though there is the option for it. At some point about one day in I decided a few more letters and a piece of digital paper were not worth my time, worries, or company money for more certs. Really too bad, because it promised a lot that it delivered in the old CRTO, but the addition of cobalt strike has brought more problems (guacamole and no VPN) than it solved.

      Thank you so much for your comment. Yeah I agree it still needs improvements, which will eventually be applied in the future, hopefully

    Thanks for this great review, I'm currently taking the course, do you have some advise or tips or even alternative labs that is free that I can finish before going thru the labs?

      I think the lab is great; just focus on it. Work on enumeration a lot.

    Good review. I have 1 question. Between CRTE and CRTO, which one should I take first? And which one is more difficult? Thank yuou

    • @thehackerish
      @thehackerish  2 года назад

      I'd say CRTO is much broader in terms of skills and the exam is bigger. I would take CRTE before. Or better yet, PACES if you are already CRTP

    In your opinion how many hours of lab time is recommend? I saw their website recommends 40hrs

    • @thehackerish

      I did it in 30 hours, 40 would be spot on. But you can purchase additional hours if needed.

    The problem with reviews like this is you were treated differently than the average user. I saw some people who has exam problems during week-end and rastamouse said them he is on week-end so he will not look at it before monday... which is really a shame...

    • @thehackerish
      @thehackerish  2 года назад +1

      Oh! that's unfortunate. As mentioned in the review, more effort should be put into support.

    Is one hour of lab time enough for you to practice this course?

    • @thehackerish

      Nope, you'd have to purchase about 30 to 40 hours
