- Recorded on 23 November 2018. [VIDEO #410] Another historical & memorable Toshiba elevator seen at Orchard MRT Station! It was used between Early-2000s till 6 March 2021, before it was closed for upgrading to Thomson-East Coast Line. Quite memories sia.
Apologies for shit quality as my videography for Escalators & Elevators wasn't as good at that time. As of 12 April 2023, I have checked that Lift 2 by Toshiba is still been retained when the lift was being deepened to serve Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 3.

Otis Gen2 used at DTL and JRE Platform A is from Germany, Capitol Piazza also Germany, Waterway Point and condos and TEL is made in China.
Shopping mall Gen2 from China will have the Otis logo on button panel in black bold font. China Gen2 has brake sound and different doors from Germany Gen2.
Ok. Let's see for revamped NS22 Orchard lift next year
Tuas W Extension & Gardens by the Bay also uses Gen2 from Germany I think - they have a taller & narrower controller/logic cabinet concealed in 1 of the lift's doorway panels, while Sports Hub also uses China-made Gen2s, with a shorter & wider cabinet that isn't concealed (except on TEL where it's hidden behind a translucent glass door). For MRT lifts, the German & China versions uses green & red LEDs respectively for its floor indicator, and red vs blue halos for their buttons
I have a feeling that the lift will have a similar situation as MacPherson
Well, MacPherson not so worse because it does one lift at the time.
@@TRANSLASLionsCityInnovia i thought MacPherson Originally have 1 lift?
@@sg1227u No, CCL all the while have 2 lifts since opening.
@@TRANSLASLionsCityInnovia i see.
Prob a shaft expansion bcuz the lift wasnt even dismantled
