A 100kcal of apple will keep you fuller due to the water and fibre, and hence you'll not want anymore food after, while a 100kcal of pure sugar will make you hungrier as it spikes your blood sugar levels and comes with no fibre, so you go on to eat more food after. He probably just doesn't eat that much on all other days. I'd also caution against saying that something in science has been 'proven.' Not only should you provide a scientific source to back up that claim but scientists themselves refuse to say anything has been 'proven.'

Go for a walk first thing in the morning and you will see home and business owners scrubbing every speck of dirt from the sidewalk and picking up microscopic bits of litter with tweezers.

I know you love a good ice cream and would love to see you go to The Ice Cream Capital of the World, LeMars Iowa and the headquarters of Blue Bunny Ice Cream. That could be your corner stone of your trip. Iowa and NW Iowa is becoming a very diverse culinary area. We have seen an increase in many new cultures in the last few decades including Somolian, numerous Asian Cultures, and of course Latin American cultures. It is interesting seeing the different takes of Latin American cuisine. They have different flavors and styles from different decades that families have made their way here. This along with traditional German, Nordic, Polish, Irish, Greek, Native American and Dutch communities makes NW Iowa a worthy place to visit. Within a few hours you can drive to the cities of Sioux City, Sioux Falls, Omaha, and Sea Moines. All have unique food possibilities. Thank you.

Savage Historian the utensil thing actually occurs in most cultures lol. Even with forks, knives or spoons it’s considered rude or unsanitary to not set your utensils down between bites or when you are not using them for food. My Italian and Sicilian family members hate it when people fling their utensils around or don’t set them down when not eating lol.

Chinatown, one of my favorite places to travel to in any major city, but the Philadelphia one holds a special place in my heart. I would often go there on weekends to get stuff from the bakeries, usually curry buns and red-bean buns.

My city, Jacksonville, is actually one of the biggest metropolitan cities in the US, even over NY, NY. So it puzzles me to no end. I have seen a few Pho places around but haven't tried them yet... But I want what Mikey is eating! 😂 There's actually supposed to be a ramen shop opening in one of our outdoor malls in my city, called Soupa Sayian, Dragon Ball Z themed. I can't wait! About 40 years ago when I was in the Navy stationed in Japan we used to go to Shakey's Pizza in Yokohama on Sunday nights for "English lessons". We would go into the restaurant and a Japanese man would come to the table and say "English lesson?" Then he'd buy us pizza and beer in exchange for the cheap English lesson! We'd talk for an hour or two and help him learn English. True story! I wonder if that's still going on. 9:33 My all-time favorite food! I need to make it soon!

I love your show it brings me back when I was traveling around the world eating all sorts of food. But now I recently started back up watching your show because I don't have a job anymore. I use to work 2 jobs with barely any sleep. During break time and lunch I play this video game on the phone. So that what I spend my spare time on. But I'm hoping I can make good shows like you down the road.

I loved the Food Wars references 😂 that episode inspired me to make Mapo Tofu for my boyfriend because it looked so good! I got my version from Cooking With Dog so it’s spicy, but not pepper-y. My bf gets excited when I mention making it 😝
