In this video my LGBTQIA friends react to Red Lights by Stray kids (Bangchan and Hyunjin) and give us their unfiltered thoughts and opinions. I am so happy to share SKZ songs, visuals and content with everyone around me.

Red Lights is an amazing song, once I showed it to a friend who didn't know SKZ and she fell in love with it. It's not just the steamy mv but the song itself is beautiful.

The music video for Red Lights makes much more sense when you know the meaning behind it which is what makes it so much more intriguing to watch. Hyunjin and Bang Chan are supposed to represent two different parts of the same person and it’s about breaking free from the “restraints” of society and opinions (shown with the chains and ropes) and why they are (mostly) struggling against them the entire video❤️❤️❤️
the songs about them and their obsession with their work, wanting to do it even when they’re tired or know they should take a break. the chains are themselves/their work ethic. they even say this in this video lol

Additionally, this MV is not just a love story *as everyone usually think when they watch this ~ it has many different stages of meaning, and all of them are supreme 🔥 This song, the idea, the lyrics, the beat and almost things are written and made by Bangchan and Hyunjin *Bangchan proposed that he want to have a produce of them collabing with each other, and provided Hyunjin some little beat. After that, Hyunjin came up with some idea/probably what we are watching right nah =))🤯🔫 And then two of them were just spending A FEW HOURS making everything ✨🔥
As I remember, this MV can be illustrated about their fear, the dimension in which Bangchan and Hyunjin are one and they are fighting each other *themselves lmaooo ~ even though they can not exist without another one *I think this is the best to be honest 👉🏻👈🏻, a love story *yandere asf 😍, a story between a dracula and a hunter based on a legend*this is f*cking gud too 🤌🏻💖 Arffff this piece of art just deserves moreeeeeee
About the s*ssy lyrics ~ they've just written it 2gether *In details, Hyunjin wrote Korean lyrics and Bangchan wrote the English one, I've heard that this was toned down thus I wanna know the original base asf lol FFFFF

i think your friends should’ve been given the information how taboo these types of things in kpop are. you can count the idols who are openly queer on one hand basically. an entire music video with clearly queer undertones has been done before with women (but in a cute way, where the women in a group would play each others love interest or school crush) but never with men, and never this sensual. korea is extremely homophobic and conservative, but stray kids have been as openly supportive of the gay community as they are allowed to be, even going beyond their allowance oftentimes.
Korea isn’t extremely homophobic, but it’s a society build on fitting in and if you are gay you draw attention to yourself especially if you are remotely famous
What I personally like the most about this song is it's instrumental, I can listen to just instrumentals on repeat ~^^

Just to clear any confusion up rq 😭, the song uses sex as a metaphor to talk about something else entirely: As the Korean title indicates, the main theme of this song is obsession or compulsion to work 💀
