To b honest I was NEVER a kpop fan. I had my own bias’ against it. But idk StrayKids are completely different in my opinion. They are in their own league
Sameee I tried to get into it in 2018/2019 but the groups were all boring and the same (didn’t know of skz at that time) then July of this year I started stanning skz cause their music is so different from other kpop groups
Same😅😅 i was bl drama lovers🤣🤣 my friend tried to make me get into kpop but failed🤣🤣 i don't like . But when i found hyunjin in 2022 i tried to get into skz step by step and yeah their music my taste🤭
8:55 the group was made by the leader Chan who picked each member, something that never happens in kpop (usually the music company/label picks the members) that's where the name Stray Kids comes from, because they were all random trainees before they joined to become a team Chan had also trained for 7 years before Stray Kids formed and since the members were all 17-20 when they debuted so they still felt like kids who didnt know what to do
I want to say that another way to interpret their name and concept is based off the Lost Boys of peter pan, children who are reluctant to enter the adult world, the confusion that comes with it, and clinging to their times before adulthood (in this case, also their debut) and trying to find out who they are. That’s also why a lot of their songs follow the themes of finding oneself and expressing who they are and doing what feels right to them instead of following societies expectations.
@ICPhoenix7 and another thing: Stray Kids were initially called "JYP flops" (their company/label's name is JYP), they had hardly any fame until God's Menu, so technically what yall said around 11:57 was correct
The lyrics of God’s menu are a metaphor. Cooking/mixing/creating as referring to the process of making music. The music video represents different aspects of the industry as well. The creation and building in the kitchen and construction site, the experimentation in the lab scenes and the competition of the industry in the racetrack. And the lyrics do make sense if you think about it as an analogy rather than literally. The passing pigeons, magpies, and crows refers to people who flit around seeking their next meal like pigeons, who make loud noises like magpies and who seek what’s shiny like crows. After you said emo songs, I thought Hellevator would be your vibe. I expect you’d also appreciate Easy, Lonely Street, Levanter, and Mirror (not to be confused with Miroh). And maybe Side Effects. So. Let’s give some further context. Hellevator was the first song they made as a whole group. (The three main producers had a SoundCloud before that barely got any views). Their company had no inclination to release a new group or debut them until they let the leader (his name is Bangchan or Chris) pick a group of guys from the present trainees and entrusted him with the balance. They then competed, not with another group, but to prove that they deserved to debut as a group. A couple members were cut, and had a chance to win their way back in, and managed it, because their chemistry as a group was so much stronger with all of them there. Hellevator was written as the first challenge of that show with Bangchan writing and producing the beats, the members writing the lyrics (mainly Bangchan, Han and Changbin) and Lee Know choreographing the dance. They were not a largely popular group, despite coming from a huge company. They were fairly unknown at the beginning. Despite that, they made two mini series of albums, I am and Cle(French for key). I am consists of three mini albums; I am NOT, I am who and I am you. Cle consists of Cle 1: Miroh, Cle 2: Yellow Wood and Cle: Levanter. It was just before levanter that their ninth member left, causing that release to be delayed. He’s kinda like Bruno and we don’t talk about him. They debuted at 16-20 years old, so of course they will look different as real grown ups! Regardless, after Levanter, they released God’s menu, and blew up, gaining a lot of international fans. The next year they participated in a global competition show against 5 other big groups and won it and since then they’ve released 3 billboard #1 albums, won a VMA and broke the record for most presold kpop albums at 5.13 million for 5-star. And they have another coming out next month!

They’re not LITERALLY talking abt cooking . They’re saying how their music is on Gods Menu meaning their music will satisfy all five of your senses ( Like Changbin said in the beginning, Changbin is the first guy who rapped and the last guy who rapped)
I think you understand the vibe of Stray Kids pretty good with your first listen. God’s Menu is about them exactly, and the cooking is the metaphor for their music production.
God's Menu is a Korean term meaning a full variety of things. For Stray Kids it means they can and will do all different types of music. The original song title God's Menu was just released as "Super Bowl". They decided to release the one we know as God's Menu first. Obviously a good business decision
It was also in response to some haters saying all they do is make “loud” music. So they decided to turn up the volume, so to speak! And I love them for that! It’s like, you think we’re loud, here’s loud (& really fxxking good)! I mean a construction site, a race track, a restaurant kitchen (with a marching band🤣)! Don’t Stan them but he’ll yes Stray Kids!
God's Menu from what I understand is about how they make their own music and that they have their own sound. It also talks about how they want people to come back for more of their music. Also some songs I recommend are The View, Get Cool, Surfin', and Sorry I love you.
3:55 the felix effect strikes once again lmaooo yes that's his real voice and yes it's very unexpected from his appearance lol also hellevator is from when they were 16-19 and s-class is when they were 22-25 so yeah they look very different haha
No need to be scared to say if you don't like something😂 Stray kids discography is incredibly varied, so if you say what you liked and what you didn't like it's easier to find something that you will enjoy. The name Stray Kids itself comes from the fact that Chan (the leader) was the one who chose each of the members. That is something that does not usually happen in K-pop since it is the companies who think in detail about which trainee they will choose to form a new group but with SKZ, JYP (the company) let Chan choose his partners to debut. So since the oldest (Chan in this case) at that time was only 20 and the rest were younger than him or directly minors, it is as if they had been kids looking for a direction and making a place for themselves in the industry. So yeah, that's kind of where the name Stray Kids comes from. Actually as a fun fact: SKZ's lightstick is a compass, indicating that they have STAY (their fandom) to guide their path.
Pre-debut songs It was created during a survival show when they were fighting for debut, the participants were eliminated but they were able to debut together
Every so often I get the urge to look up stray kids reaction videos (mostly for the Felix effect, but also bc they’re a very talented, self producing group and I like to watch others discover them too), anyway thanks for satisfying that itch for me lol

Thank you for listening to stray kids! It was genuinely so fun watching your reactions!!! They are coming out with a new album on Nov 10, we would LOOOVE to see your reactions to that album too :D
STRAY KIDS, have a fandom of people of all ages & gender! STAYS love everything about them, both on stage and off, they are a group of such talented, big hearted young men! STRAY KIDS, world domination!!!
thank you for this reaction, I really love watching people appreciate kpop (especially stray kids!). If you like the emo vibe I think you'd love 'social path' from their new japanese ep. it talks about their journey to get to where they are now and features 'LiSA' a Japanese artist who is amazing!
the thing about Stray Kids is that they LOVE to use metaphors and double meaning a lot in their lyrics. and like the others said, god's menu isn't about just cooking food in the kitchen but 'them cookin up their own songs and saying that they're different from others' sorta thing. if you want to know more deeply about the lyrics from their songs, maybe you can watch videos from andy and jas. they're a reactors like you too but they like to explain the song lyrics as well (because they're korean who speak english and sometimes they kinda catch some references that other missed)
The minute I saw ‘British’ in the title, I swr I got summoned lmaoo. I’m British too and became a fan of Stray Kids earlier this year, and before I never listened to any K-Pop either. I’m a fan of that Emo music too, so I see you, so I never realised I’d like rap so much until these lot. For some of those w MV’s, I’d say FNF, 19, Lonely St, Scars (a Japanese release) and Mixtape:OH. But if you want like SKZ songs (as in songs that rlly show their signature music), I’d say Topline, Thunderous, Maniac, Miroh, District 9, Victory Song, Easy, Back Door and The Sound (another Japanese release). District 9 is acc their debut song, and Topline is a collab with a K-HipHop artist. I’d also recommend getting to know the members, because they are all pretty funny and cool in general. Also because, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin and I.N typically sing, whilst Han, Changbin, Felix and Hyunjin usually rap. But that’s not to say they never do the other. If u r curious, Felix is the guy w the super deep voice in God’s Menu, which is why that song went so viral in K-Pop and got them popular. He’s also the reason why a lot of SKZ songs go viral (not to discredit the others ofc) since he gets the ‘iconic’ parts. And also just to finish off, they produce their own songs. Well, specifically, 3 members, (Han, Chan and Changbin) are the producing team of SKZ, 3Racha. You’ll get to know the other ‘rachas’ if you dive deeper. They make all the songs themselves, but the other members do help/make other songs too.
Gone Away (sung by 3 members) and Red Lights (sung by 2 members) are amazing. No rapping in these songs. Red Lights has a MV you absolutely must check out! Edited to add: First time I've seen a reactor cut off the song before it was finished! 🤭
I feel like I always had this bias over kpop until I got into skz. I had thought it was cutsey nonsense. But then I got into skz which opened doors for so many other groups. Theyre still my ult group, but they allowed me to discover a whole genre of amazing songs and artists. I'm really greatful for that. ❤
I'm 53 and a Nana and Stray Kids are INCREDIBLE, my daughter got me into them and she's in her 30's. Not one is them sounds the same if you really listen to them. Not one. I just found this channel and I hope you continue to react to them. They are huge and they will be even bigger soon enough. Another amazing group is Ateez, if you haven't already, watch them as well. #straykidseverywhereallaroundtheworld
I love watching people fall in love with SKZ, and I love watching people succumb to the Felix Effect. And yes, we have all had the same reaction to his voice. 😅 For the record, they are saying that they are the best, and no one can defeat them because they are constantly outdoing themselves.
Stray Kids are releasing a Rock-star album (in aprox 3 weeks) that will bring new elements. You should definitely do a reaction vid on that. I'm curious to see your opinion.
hellevator was their pre debut song, they produced and wrote it before even debut, they are something i swear, they are amazing 🙌🏼 hope you react to more songs of them🙌🏼
Songs I reccomend: Hall of fame -very upbeat and satisfying ITEM -mostly rap but has those chefs kiss vocals every now and then Thunderous -very popular and amazing music video DOMINO -INSANEE rap, popular on tiktok, satisfying to listen to, deep voice, TOP TIER VOCALS and addicting and eery instrumental Charmer -like the title, charming Back door -hyunjin
WELCOME TO STAY! I HOPE YOU HAVE FUN I would love to explain everything about them but unfortunately I can't but I will tell you there an amazing self producing group with amazing music amazing personalities everything about he is so stunning there vibes are so catchy there so so amazing also s-class won the VMA 2023 award it was so amazing we were so proud they deserved it and he hellavator was the first song stray kids ever made before they even debuted when they were in a survival ahow and they did so GOOOD and amazing there all so amazing I hope you guys enjoy them too. ❤️
Thank your for your honest and genuine opinions we appreciate that you tried kpop even though it is not your thing I love seeing new people react to Stray Kids. Stray kids discography is so diverse you can find so many genres and about 99% of those songs are written and produced by them with help of some producers here and there. They are so talented that all of them can pretty much sing and rap. They have solo songs, unit songs and collab with other artist as well. As you get to know them you'll find out that they have so many genre covered that you'll probably find something that you'll like. I hope you continue your journey into getting to know them 😁
Every member of stray kids are all arounders meaning Each of them have the ability to sing, dance, rap, compose music, and produce music It's just that for the most part they stick to the thing there best at. And all there music is produced and composed by them.
They're so good. I myself never thought I would be a K-Pop fan, I heard things about the BTS ARMY and I was both scared of them and just closed-minded. Stray Kids opened up a whole new view for me, and I took a deep deep nose dive into them. Some songs I'd recommend are: - MIROH - Thunderous - CASE 134 - CHEESE - Maknae On Top - MANIAC - Back Door - Circus - Red Lights There's so much more as well! They are very talented.
in easy words... They are talking about cooking their music.. They produce songs themself and put every possible thing they likes..they dn follow any rules and made a new genre called mala tang.. They cooked that music which is a God's Menu.
Thanks for the reaction to Stray Kids! They produce their own music themselves (mainly 3 members - Bang Chan, Changbin, Han - 3racha)~ My favourite is Hyunjin, one of the main dancers of the group
I really enjoyed your reaction! It was honest and it was fun to hear you both talk about your opinions even when they differed! Stray Kids have so many different types of music so I think just listening to a few more might help you get more specific-to-your-tastes requests! Thunderous, Back Door, Topline, Maniac are all great places to start! Also I'm sorry if this is just me watching without headphones (and I don't know if anyone else is mentioned it), but from a technical/editing standpoint if you could maybe lower the music of the music video so that we can actually hear you guys talking over it, that would be awesome!! Would much rather hear your commentary than the song at full-blast! (Even as good as they are lol)
Stray Kids supremacy!!! They are amazing, and are so different and unique especially in the kpop industry. They are the most exciting group imo, I predict they will be bigger than BTS. Check out Venom, Thunderous, Cheese, Domino dance practice to see phenomenal choreography. More than young girls love these guys. Women and men of all ages, from all over the world.
I’d say it’s definitely easier to find the songs you like doing album listens as their albums have such drastically different sounding songs with something for everyone :)
When you guys said abt stray kids name giving an outcast vibe, and how you like songs of that manner, I think you should give a listen to district 9! It has the same, but more stronger, continued vibe of hellevator, and is just a really fucking cool song. It's also their debut song!!
I feel like if you want some hellevator more, then I highly recommend to 3rd eye, voices, silent cry, hall of Fame or maybe TOPLINE.. ( most of them isn't a title track just bside from album, but it's worth to try! )
omg no they stopped before the bridge (my fav part) also I agree the edm hellavator song is kinda outdated lol (but iconic) def listen to lonely st., 3racha, heyday, for some awesome rap/hip hop made by the rapper/producers of the group!!
I haven't finished the video yet but since you reacted to the Hellevator music video I feel like it's important to point out that at the beginning the group originally had 9 members. They formed in 2017, debuted in 2018, and were a group of 9 until 2019 when Woojin left. The fandom and the group don't really acknowledge the former member as much, and when I've seen him mentioned it's usually with an air of distaste. We don't have a clear reason for why he left the group but it was not an amicable split. There is a ton of speculation and rumors but no real confirmation on anything. Woojin went on to become a solo artist. Woojin left the group right before they released an album and it caused a lot of stress for the group at the time. 3 of the members of the group are the primary producers for the group, so in 2020 they went on to re-master the older tracks and re-record some lines to replace Woojin's vocals. This is all context for the Hellevator music video because Woojin is still featured in the video because it was their first major release (I believe it is technically a pre-debut release). I only started getting into Stray Kids back in late April early May so I am still learning a lot. But it took me a while to actually find any information acknowledging who Woojin was and it made the entry period a bit confusing trying to figure out how many members there were.
Stray Kids are coming to the UK IN JULY!!!🇰🇷, I want to vlog this for y'all, so if you've got a spare £5 or more to help us buy tickets that would be much appreciated!!❤, Donate here - gofund.me/ccdf7cb4

you should check out the Domino dance practice. The choreography in that is MENTAL.
I feel like they should have seen the whole MV like they left it halfway 🤭 it was a regular reaction I hope for another more complete reaction
Lol they should look different. They were in their teens 6 years ago and they are in their early to mid-20s nowadays.
They used to be up to 20, now the eldest is 26, and the youngest is 22
STRAY KIDS, have a fandom of people of all ages & gender! STAYS love everything about them, both on stage and off, they are a group of such talented, big hearted young men! STRAY KIDS, world domination!!!
thank you for this reaction, I really love watching people appreciate kpop (especially stray kids!). If you like the emo vibe I think you'd love 'social path' from their new japanese ep. it talks about their journey to get to where they are now and features 'LiSA' a Japanese artist who is amazing!
have an interesting range within their music, has influences everywhere. They're the best. 🔥
5 Star album next 🔥
All Stray Kids's song are so amazing
More straykids!!
the thing about Stray Kids is that they LOVE to use metaphors and double meaning a lot in their lyrics. and like the others said, god's menu isn't about just cooking food in the kitchen but 'them cookin up their own songs and saying that they're different from others' sorta thing. if you want to know more deeply about the lyrics from their songs, maybe you can watch videos from andy and jas. they're a reactors like you too but they like to explain the song lyrics as well (because they're korean who speak english and sometimes they kinda catch some references that other missed)
Lol all the members can RAP, SING and DANCE … there is no one lacking, theyre all rounders!
Seungmin is really just something
he is good at absolutely everything.
Liked the honest reaction y'all, looking forward to the next one~ 👍 (I recommend Levanter, DLC or I am You for their softer sound~)
For the record, they are saying that they are the best, and no one can defeat them because they are constantly outdoing themselves.
HELLEVATOR IS SO GOOD AND UNDERRATED THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR REACTING TO IT
PHENOMENAL to see the felix effect still take place w/ yous😂😂
Stray kids! The best kpop group 💓
woah i really like your reaction, its so pure and honest. Thankyou for reacting to stray kids!
Stray Kids are releasing a Rock-star album (in aprox 3 weeks) that will bring new elements. You should definitely do a reaction vid on that. I'm curious to see your opinion.
🤣I love how in God's Menu everyone gets shocked hearing Felix voice. Same reaction I had
It's crazy to think I went from One Direction to Stray Kids two different genres, styles, everything. I love these kids 🥰😍
hellevator was their pre debut song, they produced and wrote it before even debut, they are something i swear, they are amazing 🙌🏼 hope you react to more songs of them🙌🏼

When he said they sound the same before Felix’s part. 😂😅
You NEEEEDDDD to check more videos of them out!!! Also 3racha (bangchan, changbin and han: the producers and lyricists of skz)
YALL SUMMONED STAYS !!!!! Du du du du du du ! They wonder how my spotlight is good !! Part of both songs🥹🔥💗
Your smile during Hellevator made me so happy. Glad you enjoyed SKZ
Stray kids are great they’re super talented the energy their music transmit is so dope 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💓💓💓💓
I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, STRAY KIDS WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE TO DOMINATE!❤
Some songs that I really enjoy are “Silent Cry”, “Sorry I Love You”, and “Red Lights”
Their cooking their own music. They are one of a kind.
im so glad they said everybody sounds the same right before Felix's part, it made their reactions to his voice so satisfying
as a stay i really enjoy when people like their songs! keep going 🤍
I hope you continue your journey into getting to know them 😁
Hellevator is great... but stray kids song is melting my heart ❤❤
They used to have 9 members at the time of Hellavator. I had not seen
a concert since Prince but went to see the Stray Kids first concert in 2022.
Every member of stray kids are all arounders meaning Each of them have the ability to sing, dance, rap, compose music, and produce music It's just that for the most part they stick to the thing there best at. And all there music is produced and composed by them.
And those faces you made when the deep voice started singing, that what we stays call the "✨️Felix Effect✨️"
They're so good. I myself never thought I would be a K-Pop fan, I heard things about the BTS ARMY and I was both scared of them and just closed-minded. Stray Kids opened up a whole new view for me, and I took a deep deep nose dive into them. Some songs I'd recommend are:
- MIROH
- Thunderous
- CASE 134
- CHEESE
- Maknae On Top
- MANIAC
- Back Door
- Circus
- Red Lights
There's so much more as well! They are very talented.
felix and bang chan are australian's
Yes as a 12 years old stay (stray kids fan) i am going crazy on every their song❤❤❤❤❤
in easy words... They are talking about cooking their music.. They produce songs themself and put every possible thing they likes..they dn follow any rules and made a new genre called mala tang.. They cooked that music which is a God's Menu.
When he said everyone sounds the same I waited for the felix legendary part lmfao I knew he would take it back
I can't wait for you to check out more of their music 😭💖
Thanks for the reaction to Stray Kids! They produce their own music themselves (mainly 3 members - Bang Chan, Changbin, Han - 3racha)~ My favourite is Hyunjin, one of the main dancers of the group
Also the reason they show the cars is because they're actually driving them for the mv which they don't ever actually drive due to being a kpop idol
60 year old Stay here. So happy to see your interest in them. Welcome to the rabbit hole.
Yess, we’ll use our mics in the future forgot it here🥲, and I appreciate you taking your time to watch🤍🕊️
@@ICPhoenix7 No worries at all!! It was still a very fun watch. Can't wait to see more!
Great that you are checking out Stray kids. But if you like more EMO tracks I think you would really like a Korean group called Xdinary Heroes
I’d say it’s definitely easier to find the songs you like doing album listens as their albums have such drastically different sounding songs with something for everyone :)
"they all sound the same" *felix's part plays right after* so tell me again how they sound the same...
( most of them isn't a title track just bside from album, but it's worth to try! )
I cracked up when you said the cooking had something sexual meaning 🤣
They are cooking the song…thts wht it means…💙💙
Hellevator was their Debut Song. The first song they produced themselves ❤
Kpop Stans : we all know something that they don't know in God's menu (if you know you know)
Ps it's Felix's bit ❤❤❤❤
SEUNGMIN:VISUAL+VOCALS
+RAP+CHOREO=MY DEATH.
PLEASE REACTION TO SEUNGMIN
SOLO LIVE PERFORMANCE "PERFUME".
omg no they stopped before the bridge (my fav part) also I agree the edm hellavator song is kinda outdated lol (but iconic) def listen to lonely st., 3racha, heyday, for some awesome rap/hip hop made by the rapper/producers of the group!!
YOU DID NOT CUT OFF THE S-CLASS REACTION💀 YOU MISSED THE BEST PARTS 😢
FELIX AMAZING VOICE IS JUST THE BEST 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for your reaction, but can you please watch the whole video, we need to see everything!
Stray kids everywhere all around the world
STRAY KIDS WORLD DOMINATION
Hahahah nice reaction
Beautifull black boy, his lips, almond eyes and smile , really nice.
