- Having issues with Battlefield 5 stuttering? If your frustrated about stuttering in BFV like I was then video might be the solution for you. It took me a bit of time to put a few different things together but this video explains how I resolved my BFV stuttering issues without the use of 3rd party programs.

If you are still looking for a solution because this video didn't work then it may be Windows 10 bogging you down. In either case check out • FIX STUTTERING IN BFV,... for another stuttering solution that has worked for a lot of others.
If you are unable to find the DX12 setting it is more than likely that your graphics card doesn't support DX12 or you are not on Windows 10. Don't worry the rest of the settings should work without issue.
One thing that is happing to me is that I do not have fps drop I can play always at 60Fps (is what my monitor can handle it) but the game is not smooth at all. I have stuttering when I have to turn. It is kind of weird, I running the game in Razen 2600, 16GB, EVGA 1060 GTX 6Gb, Evo 850. I'm was not able to find the solution so far. I played with 60hz monitor 27", 1920x1080.
@@NicoGentile458 Bit late but right click on your game icon on your desktop and goto high dpi things and turn everything off

It’s weird the first time I started the game it was fine I was running 80-100 FPS on high settings but now every 3 seconds there is a stutter or something like that
Ok so I exited the game and I realized there was like 50 tabs of windows help after clicking f1 and it was using hella ram so I closed it and it started working
Went from 80 fps and stuttering to 100 fps and no stuttering 😀

120+ fps.
I have followed all your settings and set graphic quality to custom and changed it to ultra..Still I am getting 120+ fps...Turning direct x 12 off and v-sync off helped me.

finally i fixed the stuttering for me it was that dumbass DX12 that was turned on again after the update for some reason.... thank you so much man!

When I went in Nivida control panel - Manage 3D settings - Global. I couldn’t find Maximum Pre rendered frames.

So maximum pre rendered frames is gone now in the latest control panel. I think the best way to go about it is make sure you have max refresh rate, and the option for lower latency should be off.
Stuttering issues will never stop if you have a laptop. Always high Temps on the cpu

Got a 1070, I7 7700k 3.6hz, 16 gb DDR4 and I’m getting 30-50 FPS... been working on this for ages and hopefully this helps, will try tomorrow.

Shits wonky bro, I have a 3070 and R5 5600x, there’s absolutely no reason it shouldn’t perform flawlessly at 1440p
Thanks for these settings :) It runs at around 30-60 and really stable, depending on maps, way better than stuttering between 10 and 40 xD Although I had higher expectations like having around 70 because my PC runs CoD: MW2019 pretty well, at around 80-100 fps I think?
I guess I should find how to overclock an E5-2670
Edit: And I still can't believe DX12 API and FPS Limiter were the culprits, I thought those were supposed to make the game faster and more stable
After watching this video I was amazed at how much detail you used to describe why you change certain settings. I like that. I also just checked my display settings on Windows and my 144 refresh rate monitor was set to 60hz haha

Check out my other video which outlines a program called islc. I find most people have success using that.

@@Lockhinator hey man this islc is working pretty decent however I have 16gb ram but Windows is only registering 8gb I've tried every video put there and still not fixed maybe could you make a video on how to fix it

just did something counter intuitive and put game at 150% resolution. My cpu went from 90 percent to 55 and now its smooth as heck...65-80 frames per sec but super smooth..
That is a bit strange. It's been a while since i've played BFV but I know its still riddled with bugs.
How to do that?
battlefield1 and 5 have a slider for resolution. i got a 9900k now so i never get above 35 percent usage...the old cpu was 9600k.
When I got this game immediately I saw packet loss and lots of lag and stuttering I’ve tried everything but it won’t fix the game

Maximum pre -rendered frames option is missing in latest Nvidia drivers, do a update video if you can.

I've tried many tweaks and I'm getting anywhere from 40 to 110 FPS this is ridiculous.

It never helped the game is just that way. Still no other game runs awful but BF5 on my PC

What graphics card do you currently have? It may be that your graphics card does not support dx12.

Fixed some stutter issues I was having and this is in 2020 also checked my nvidia settings and some parts were set to power saving mode which you dont want to do if you want performance
it stutters for me no matter what, on different resolutions, did as you said, still the same, reinstalling, restarting the pc, nothing works. the game just stutters endlessly.

Went from 30fps with stuttering to 30fps with stuttering ayy big surprise it's the servers not being able to respond properly
Sorry to hear that. What hardware are you running on if you dont mind me asking? Reason I ask is 30fps seems fairly low to begin with and and any frame drops during play will cause you to notice issues.

nah vsync fixed screen tearing, id rather have input lag than see my screen having a stroke
I have done this and it worked for a few days and then bam back to stuttering.....i feel like the games netcode or something is wonky. Really want to enjoy this game but it seems the devs just keep going.....hahahahahah.......no -_-
It may be something you need to fix by clearing your paging file. I deff think they need to fix something though.

I wanted to know since I play from PlayStation if everything is improved because I only land with bombers and I don't understand why,
For whatever reason, the graphics in my game have very dense colors. The contrast and sharpness are too high, extreme on specific maps. I set my video settings according to multiple people on YT, but none of them had this problem. Would anybody happen to know what this causes?
Sounds like this may be due to the Nvidia IN-GAME OVERLAY. I know you can have it do some interesting stuff to colors for different games. That would be the first thing i would check.

what is wrong with this game? I tried everything even lowering my settings all the way and it's nonstop stuttering literally every 5 seconds. My rig is more than good enough too i have an rx 570 and ryzen 1500x. bf1 did not have this problem. i got a free origin pass so i wanted to give this game a try to see if it was better than the beta but the stuttering is a massive issue

Funny to reply a 3 yrs old comment but running the game in borderless windows fix it for me. Not really smooth out the cutscenes but it got significantly better

dx11 just give me 30 50 fps with 2070 s, must use 12 to be able to play with 1440 144hz

When i disable dx12 my game is crashing after a while on dx 12 its not crashing but im lagging...
BFV can be a buggy thing at times. If you are having DX12 issues you may want to try reinstalling your graphics drivers
Have a 3060 TI and having stutters from 60 to like 45 lmao
In dx 11 i am getting low fps without stutter
But in dx 12 i get more fps with stutter

Its just the nature of the beast at the moment. Sadly I dont think that they plan on fixing it any time soon.

I know im a bit late but I would suggest you try to check where the bottleneck in your system is. Is your CPU or GPU maxed when you hit the dip in FPS?

just turn off dx12, that's what cause stutter.
This is true in some cases. In others you may need to configure further.
Stutters are bad. Very annoying
Buy more ram to stop stuttering. There is nothing wrong with the game
I have 64GB still get micro stutters so this helps =O
16gb ram should be plenty, but the game still stutters HEAVILY when playing with planes. The only franchise where stuttering is a major problem.
