The 3 of them performed this song together on Dolly's show in 1976. They later collaborated together on a few albums. The first Trio album from 1987 is great & showcases the lovely voices of these talented ladies. Lots of great songs such as "To Know Him Is To Love Him", "Telling Me Lies", "Those Memories Of You", "Wildflowers" etc. They did a 2nd album Trio II in 1999. It also has many hit songs such as "After The Goldrush", "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind", "Feels Like Home" etc.
Great reaction! And if you only know Linda Ronstadt as part of a trio, you’re missing out on one of the great vocalists of our time. Her live version of Blue Bayou is stunning. Her tone, power, and control are impeccable.
Three of the best voices ever! I believe they collaborated on quite a few songs together. The harmonizing is brilliant. I'm not gonna lie it brought a tear or two out of me.
Every time I hear these 3 talented ladies sing this song I break down in a very ugly cry. I have this kind of love for my son but fortunately for me he's a great man and makes this old momma proud. Beautiful song that tugs at your heart. These 3 are so talented in their own right but together they are fantastic. Anything by Linda is amazing. Silver threads and Golden Needles is my favorite. ❤😊
That song was on Linda's album "Prisoner in disguise" sung with Emmy Lou. She also did a cover of Dolly's "I will always love you" and this album. It's my favorite album of Linda's.
Oh my goodness! You haven’t gone down the Linda Ronstadt rabbit hole? You’re not going to believe her, plus she sings Spanish songs (her heritage) and light opera (Pirates of Penzance), and her songs range across all genres. Can’t wait for you to hear her songs 😃
They each have a basic genre but can move in and out in each others genre easily. Dolly is (down home) Country while Emmy Lou is (very early) Folk and Linda Ronstadt was seen more as Pop (folk-rock). Linda began losing her voice around 2000/2001 and was diagnosed with Parkinson's around 2012.
You really need to listen to Linda's live version of Down so Low, also Faithless Love actually anything that she sings is mind blowing. Also Desperado, and I Will Always Love You. I could go on and on 😊
It does not get any better than this! Those VOICES!!! Those harmonies!!! Such sweetness to the ears. Such a healing balm to the soul! These angels released 2 albums together quite a few years apart. They are both outstanding albums. "High Sierra", "After the Gold Rush", "Telling Me Lies", "To Know Him is to Love Him", and "Farther Along" are outstanding songs from these albums though each song on each album is a gem!
Dolly, Linda and Emmylou - 3 of my all time favourite female singers. Have seen Linda in concert twice and Dolly once. Both were amazing live. You have to go through Linda's back catalogue and there are so many songs that she interpreted in her own way. Her voice, whether singing rock, country or jazz is incredible.
They are so awesome. They made an album and I have it and it is so great. I love their harmonies so good. They are so young here. I've listened to them for years all 3 of them. Great together and great alone.
Oh my! If you enjoy harmonies like this, you MUST check out the live video of Alison Krauss and the Cox Family Singers (featuring the fantastic Suzanne Cox) singing a cover of Roy Orbisons' "Blue Bayou." I would dearly love to see your reaction to one of the most magical versions of this song I've ever heard.
he's got the most expressive face, lol I also noticed that Dolly keeps her voice on a level with the others. She has a powerful delivery, but this is perfect.
You really need to delve into these three ladies more, both individually and as the group Trio. They put out two albums together and many, many as solo acts.
I first discovered this song on Linda Ronstadt album prisoner in disguise. I highly recommend that as a good starting place for your journey with Linda. When my mother passed away suddenly several years ago I played this song and it it just about broke me but was also very soothing😢❤
Ah, the 70s and three of the most powerful women even in the business of making music! Each of them an icon, even in the real time of their releases. And Dolly, we know, is also a 5-star songwriter, still at it! The tragedy is that Linda can no longer perform, but she is still beautiful in her retirement. Thank you for finding this video -- and for your genuine appreciation of what you found!

Reminded me of typical mountain music. All 3 I believe were raised in the mountains.. a blue grass kind of sound.
Show me a country singer that can touch this today❤❤❤❤❤
Softly and Tenderly by the Trio (thats what they called themselves)
The best. Check Emmylou Harris, Mary Black and Dolores Keane sing Sonny…just brilliant
Try "Mister Sandman" the 3 of them singing it is beautiful. "Complete Trio" album.
3 ABSOLUTE LEGENDS 🎶🎼🎵💖💖💖
Please check out them singing After the Gold Rush. Their harmony on this is beyond amazing
You need to check out the three of them singing "After the Gold Rush " absolutely beautiful!

I'm not gonna lie it brought a tear or two out of me.
They put out two albums together, Trio and Trio 11. All excellent songs especially “High Sierra” 👵🏼💜☮️
Linda Ronstadt - Blue Bayou.❤❤
Heavenly , isnt' it? Just somehow makes you believe that all is okay with the world, even if just for the time they sing.
I have the CD of these3. ❤❤❤❤❤
High Sierra by these 3

Always a pleasure to hear this song. It is so angelic.
Beautiful Linda Ronstadt is no longer able to sing.
So heartbreaking. I’m grateful for the catalogue she has given us, though.

Linda is also a legend -- lot's of great songs for you to react to.
Three of the worlds most beautiful country singers!!!.
According to Willie Nelson, there are 2 types of men. Those who love Linda and those who have never met her. Great reaction as always! ❤❤❤
There is no way to go wrong with these three❤
Beautiful!! 💗💗💗💗💗. Thank you! Emmylou Harris singing "Heartbreak Hill" or "Timberline". Gorgeous! Alison Krause with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band singing " Catfish John" AMAZING HARMONIES! Enjoy!
Linda Ronstadt singing Desperado is one I think you will enjoy. She was such a powerful singer.
You really do need to look into Linda's career. She really is incredible.

Those Memories is another one they do well
Beautiful! ❤
Can recommend any song from both their Trio albums. Stunning harmonies on them all.
More Linda!!!
They are still great friends. Ditto on their Trio albums, pure gold! ❤️
Oh wow, I haven't heard this in a long time. It's so beautiful

So many great Linda songs to listen to!
stripped down instruments, simple earthy lyrics, and great harmonies. Welcome to folk music.
You MUST watch Hunter Hayes singing with Hank Williams Jr!!!
Each outstanding in their own right and perfection together.
Phenomenal collaboration. The great singers together in one song. I will repeat here that Angelina Jordan released a new album last night.
They released 2 albums called Trio and Trio 2. I love almost every song.
They are so awesome. They made an album and I have it and it is so great. I love their harmonies so good. They are so young here. I've listened to them for years all 3 of them. Great together and great alone.
Linda Rondstadt had the Eagles as her backup band before they flew off to soar like Eagles do! 🦅
