- Chris was very excited when we met Sarah at the Mindful Camp event near Sedona, because she owns a rare and sought-after Class B motorhome / camper van from former Canadian manufacturer Islander RV. The Islander Class B is quite unique in that it has a fully usable over-cab bed, a large bathroom and is build extremely well. Enjoy the tour!

The Cruisin' Crew congrats on 100,000 views!!!
I want one!!! That's one of the best Class B vans ever with plenty of room in it. Thank you and Sarah for the tour.
My brother in law and wife had one of these. I really envied them with how handy it was. The four of us took a two day trip to visit other reletives and it was a good trip for us all. I really like her little home. amazing with the dogs too.
Thank you!
You just can't beat the solid, one piece heavy fiberglass body. I have a Ford/Coachmen 1991 Class B and I love it. This is my third motor home and I've learned the hard way over the years. The class C and the class A both developed water leaks in the roof. Was a never ending battle. The fiberglass roof is very STRONG. I weigh 300lbs and have walked on my roof several times and no problem and has NEVER leaked.
The class-B is very well designed, and so is Sarah.
wtf
The van was intentional, I was an accident.
Those Islander rigs built on the Dodge vans are ideal! I could and would live full time in that and chase the sun until Kingdom comes. I dig it! I'm surprised that there was no generator and very surprised that the seats do not swivel. Sarah, for goodness sake do not trade that seat out! There are the swivel plates you can purchase and install on the existing (and very cool) factory captain's chairs. Happy trails folks! ...........................PEACE!!
What a wonderful home on wheels...love it!!! Thanks for the tour, Chris! 💗 💗 💗
Wow, what an awesome layout. If a Class B and a Class C had a baby..... With the explosion of Class B van life, you'd think a manufacturer would replicate this design. It's a winner.
I was just talking about this today! I love the way my van is laid out, and there is NOTHING even close to it these days.
Sarah has an amazing smile!
Thank you! My parents made it for me!
Hahaha it's identical to mine, before I modified it. 👍 Made right here in Metro Vancouver. You can have 12 people standing on the roof, solid as steel.
JustinCredibleTV awesome! I just found your channel through this comment and I just subbed! I love your Islander in purple!
I’ll have to check out your modified version to get ideas for improving mine.
Cruisin’ Jr here it is: ruclips.net/video/2yjEWU00B9o/видео.html
JustinCredibleTV beautiful I love it...
Now all they need is a good outro with a belch! Keep On Belching In The Free World!
For something that looks like what it is, rather than a conversion, it is a lovely example and well thought out layout.
I can't believe they don't make better layouts these days!
"I haven't seen one in the wild" haha!! Great quote :)
straight word by word translation from german :)
Karli.....yeah, I caught that too. lol
Beauty, I've got a 1990 Islander 250 and love it but the wide body is my dream ride :D
Beautiful Islander.
Excellent, little home!
Thank you!
Very cozy and comfortable looking. Awesome. I like to own this motorhome someday.
Beautiful Class B. Very homey. Love It!
Thanks!
Great tour! Everything you need in the islander! Another great Canadian product!
That is one really cool class B! I can see why you like these models. It is so open compared to versions we see now. Thank you for sharing!
That’s what I want!! Very nice - luv ur dogs, I have 3 dogs & kitty who will be traveling with me to see the country, but not as a full time nomad😎😎
Enjoyed the rundown on the unit, I was thinking about getting one. The three dogs I also like- a person who likes dogs is a good sign. My take is for an older class B this unit provides the most in 20ft.
I have not seen anything that has taken my heart from my Islander.
Thanks for the tour.
Great tour of Sarah’s van. Thanks for the video.
Love your van/home. Good luck, be safe be well.
Happiness is in the simple things of life
Couldn't agree more!
Very well built, Wish I owned one.
Nice van ,great tour.
This thing is so rad
I couldn't agree more!
Very nice. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Very nice, I noticed the candle, I bet it smells wonderful in a small space....
Like cinnamon dog??
@@ToneCabinet Good one. You're not wrong!

Wow, Sarah’s van is very popular too!! Awesome video!
Beautiful, I love class B's, that's the best I can drive, I am not so good as a judge of distance, well done...
Great RV, I’ve seen her before someplace. Nice gal.
This was fun. Thank you!
very cool Islander..nice woman, Sarah and great video!
Islander is the best rv coz
1- has the biggest shower where u can take shower comfortably.
2- has a gas oven, u can cook as u r really at home.
Unfortunately they stoped make it in 97
All rvs r used and hard to find.
Ahmed.Palestine
1999 was the final year. I now own a 1998, the second last year.
she has my uncles book on her shelf forks over knifes really cool rv nice take care be safe
The old Dodges were built much better than the new ones.
Very nice living quarters
Hi Chris... 😥 ... cute little camper thingy. Thinking of buying one for my family. It's just myself and my fiance so something like this would work for me too. Thanks for sharing this with us. 😁😁😁
Love the complete bthrm!😊
That was a definite selling point!
Really nice unit!
Thank you!
Beautiful!
Rent is becoming so expensive that this is gonna be the future
the eye in the sky. True, but many cities are making it illegal to live in a vehicle . Eventually something will have to give.
Carmen Wheatley The nice thing about a vehicle is it is not built onto a permanent foundation and can therefore be moved. Also a lot of the cities that I've seen making it illegal to live in an RV are places I wouldn't want to live anyways.
Rvs are simply better in my opinion aswell no property tax and it really teaches you to ration utilities also if there is natural disaster incoming you can move your whole living space also relocating for work is easy my friend lives out of a van in my old home town he grows weed in his van donates plasma twice a week which racks him up 400$ a month and babysits his cousins/sisters and sells weed and since he grows he doesnt have to buy his own the dude is saving up hella money has hella guns and barely even works and makes enough for the food, water, diesel and gas he needs this is the future you can save up a grand and ration that money for months long trips i cant wait to get my van
I have the same van and yours is way more awesome I definitely want to redo my bathroom like yours there is so much room in that bathroom I can't even stand up in my shower. Okay I guess I should have watch the whole video before I commented I have the Chevy G30 and my top is level yours has a high rise over the bed that is so cool.
Very nice motorhome...
That bathroom is bigger than my 1976 dodge coachmen rv Class C!
Great home! I regret passing up on one just this. Sort of sad now.
Enjoy your lovely place.
I love that van! The only thing is I'm claustrophobic. I would have to make the table into a bed. I couldn't sleep up where she does.
chevy ford dodge vans were all pretty good in the 70's 80's not sure why, because most all US cars really sucked during that long rotten season of shit, my bro had a chevy conversion 3/4 raised with off road tires (modestly raised,) so pack it with teens & beer the mountains we sure had fun! Thanks 2 both of you 4 the vid!. Ah hell have 2 throw in my decision >>& that's a BRAND NEW 50th aniv Adventurer camper with the new GMC for 2020 pick up. Hit'n the road soon!
hoorah for the vegan books! Lovely van, thanks for sharing.
Those do come with Onan generators. Very nice. Thanks for posting
Oh & may I add. What a delightful & beautiful young woman.
You're so right on, they do make good engines.
Hello, do you still have the Islander? And how is it holding up? I'm interested in one. Thanks.
Love her style
Thank you!
Awesome camper.
What a beautiful camper van, I would love to have one like that one
They're not easy to come by... if you ever see one for sale for a reasonable price, jump on it! ;)
Look in CANADA!
Great Job.
very cool! i'm going to try & find one of those!!!
My dream vacation home
I like this style of camper van. Good layout. Only thing I would change is the dinette into a u shaped lounge area instead. I'm not keen on dinette's and would much rather have a lounging area. All the best with your full time camper life.
Great idea, that could definitely work! :)
I couldn't agree more about the lounge area. I'm over the dinette.
Nice setup.
Nothing like it!
wow she is beautiful.....the van and her...lol.i wish to find a unit like that!....nice van!
Thanks! Best of luck on your hunt!
All those dogs in a camper , crazy!
Not all the dogs were hers... she had friends with dogs who camped there too. And these dogs probably get more outdoor time than most other dogs... ;)
Can someone give me a couple of different motorhomes that have a similar layout to this one?? I've never seen one like this it's a great setup in my opinion especially for having a bathroom and shower and all of the other things. It even has a dinette which I don't think I've ever seen in these types of motorhomes. What are some others that are similar to this one?
The Roadtreks built on Chevy Express bodies are good size, almost any class B are like this, although that bathroom is the first one I have seen like that.
Yes, this design was quite unique and it's rather sad that they're not being built like that anymore. The closest to this right now would probably be a small Class C like the Thor 19g: www.rvt.com/rvdetail.php?id=8354627&preview=1
She's a gem
Awesome Van
it’s nice that she doesn’t have it filled to the max.
Perfect size for me and my little and smarty cat.
Love Love
this is great :)
Wonderful!👑👑👑👑👑
I want one!
Keep an eye out in Canada!
pure travel house for traveling around world...
yay sarah she paddleboards with me when she is in southern mo..... love her super cool
What up!
Nice Canadian Girl and her dogs eh! Good for you young Lady, I'll be in Langley next week, hahahaha
She's a US citizen... bought the van in the US, even though it started out in Canada.
Awe what a sweet heart. I just worry about people sleeping. Every person who does this need a double motion sensor alarms if anyones aproaching and maybe cameras.
Or a 38 under the pillow... to be honest, RVers feel pretty safe out there as criminals have to assume that pretty much everyone is armed... some common sense is still good to have and Sarah also has dogs traveling with her! ;)
100,000 views on cruisin_jr’s video!! Wow! Congrats!
love you're van, enjoy life ...
Thank you!
love it i want one!!
No surprise, these are perfect, but difficult to find... ;)
Nice RV !
Nice video & beautiful. I love it.
Great Job. Did it come with all the 'stuff'.? Shower, cabinets, bed, stove, etc. Appx how much?. Best I've seen so far. LOVE LOVE all the colorful fabric
Thanks for your comment! :) Except for the personal touches, these coaches come with all the furniture, appliances etc. The price usually ranges from about 10 to 30k depending on age and condition, however, this Canadian manufacturers coaches are very rare to find in the US unfortunately. There are a lot of other similar Class B campers, but none have this layout or the usable overhead bed. The closest in terms of utility and approximate size is a Coachmen Starflyte, which is much easier to find, but they also lack the overhead bed and the bathroom is smaller and it's a technically a Class C (or B+ depending who you ask ;).
The Cruisin' Crew. Thank you so much. Great Job
The bathroom in the back is amazing. I want mine like that but i miss the idea of opening the back door to the ocean or whatever.
You might want to check out the 2019 Winnebago Travato 59K... that model has a wet bath in the back plus double doors... :)
This also opens the double back doors
Goooooood
I love it.
Thank you for being vegan :)
HECK YEAH!
superb👍
First time I enjoyed an american vehicle layout. That rear bathroom is the same like I plan my next vehicle and also the reason of this spacious feeling van. When normally the bathroom is somewhere in the middle in a small cabin it always takes up the space feeling and you need to worm around a room you only need half an hour a day.
You're so right, and that generous over-the-cab bed is what makes it all possible! :)
That's what I'm hoping some day to get and older RAM Class B There are far and few out there now days. If people have them they are keeping them. If one does go up for sale it's sold quickly....
Nice. What year is the vehicle? Didn't hear it mentioned.
1994.
Nice rig.
Thanks!
I don't know if RV companies still use Dodge Ram Pick Ups but Dodge Ram Pick Ups are still made here in the USA. 😊👍🏼
Dalaine Bloom -- Dodge Ram pick-up trucks are manufactured at the Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico and Warren Truck Assembly in Warren, Michigan, United States. All Dodge vans from 1971 to 2003 were built at the Pillette Road Truck Assembly plant in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. After that, they switched to Sprinter vans, which are built in Düsseldorf, Germany, partially disassembled and shipped to Gaffney, South Carolina for final assembly.
How difficult is it to make repairs on something like this? Are parts available, can a local mechanic be able to get their hands on them?
Shouldn't be too difficult, since it's a Dodge van chassis and for the RV stuff there are places everywhere including mobile RV repair services that can fix things.
The Islander is actually a "class B-plus," since it is wider than a standard van body.
I really like the van and the little docksun, had one, but the other 2 big ones are a bit too much. Dogs shed and to have that many animals in a small space is unhealthful. Moderation.
Those were not all her dogs... it was a group of people with dogs there. And these dogs get much more nature and play time than most other pets.
Super nice, especially fiberglass construction (roof), love lay-out too. Bathroom actually looks usable. Not sure why some of the better built class B company's went out of business, possibly bought out & closed down so bigger co. Have mrkt? Lucky find!
Yeah, it's always sad when companies with really great products go out of business. I guess Canada was too small of a market and they couldn't expand into the US for some reason or maybe they were too expensive back then... I would so prefer this over a Road Trek or the many other Class Bs available here... the layout of the Islander is just perfect!
What is the height of the van? 8ft?
GREAT 👍 FOR RETIRED OR COLLEGE STUDENT 👨🏼🎓 .!!!!!! .OR ANYONE TIRED 😓 OF PAYING RENT .!!!!!!! . AND MAKE THE LANDLORD RICH .!!!!!! .OFF YOUR HARD , WORK .!!!!!!! .BETTER INVESTMENT .!!!!! .🚨👍❤️😎....
Oldies like me remember the intro to the early 60’s tv series, Ben Casey, where actor Sam Jaffey (Gunga Din) as Dr. Zorba drew the symbols for man, woman, birth, death and infinity on a blackboard. The symbol on the spare tire cover superimposes the symbols for man, woman and a hybrid of the two together. There are also three clenched fists representing all skin colors, all of which probably indicate Sarah’s support for the LGBTQ+ and all human rights movements. She would probably not enjoy having Trump lovers riding with her. But she’s got a “winner” of a class B RV and the best companions already in her free spirited adventure through life!
Fohpono oh yes because Trump supporters hate everyone but themselves.
APRIL IS MY BIRTHDAY MTH 👍👍👍👍👍👍😁 GRRRREAT👍👍👍💋😊🌹😁
