This song was made by Suga to give comfort to other artists and idols who are working hard and I think he really did that. Sadly Ryuchi Sakamoto passed away not too long after Suga met him. He is a really famous composer who did films such as The Last Emporer and The Revenant and who Suga looked up to.
As you can see, he writes from real life perspectives with a lot of inner reflection. Poetry really. He is amazing.💜
This was a great reaction. The young man, Woosung, is the lead vocalist for The Rose. His voice is beautiful. BTS has pulled me out some dark places over the years. Their lyrics are deep and meaningful..I would venture to say they've saved some young lives, and in my case, some old ones. No one in America is reaching people like these guys..I think Western artists, if you can call them that, are shallow and are only concerned with their own success..and release straight up crap that helps mold younger generations. Thank goodness for BTS. There are a lot of extremely talented artists in South Korea and people should really pay attention.😊💜

I am a 48 years old French ARMY (BTS fans). BTS have been part of my life for several years and for me they are the most beautiful artistic and human encounter. This Suga song is a masterpiece for me. This means so much to me. These words are the words I wish I had heard when I was young and today I dedicate these words to my two children.

The young man with the beautiful, soulful voice is in an up and coming band called the ROSE. Here Suga is doing exactly what he is offering in this song, helping other talented artists to get recognition, by colabing with them. Reaching out a helping hand to pull some one else up. The BTS boys have repeatedly worked with others, they don't shy away. They are enthusiastic when it comes to making music. They have colabed with so many artists worldwide. I see no racial discrimination in them whatsoever. WITCH IS SO REFRESHING. HOW I WISH WE COULD ALL LOOK BEYOND COLOR,CULTURES AND RELIGIONS. ❤❤❤

I once read a comment from an Army, a woman and what she said is burned in my mind. Because she said that AgustD saved her sons live, because he was struggling with depression. At the moment I read that comment I realised how many lives BTS already saved and how they brighten up every single day of my live. So always stay strong and happy, as AgustD said,

Suga is a very talented and deep lyrical artist, he speak his truth. That’s one of the many reasons we love him so much.
Don't worry often a slower reader gets more out of what they read then someone who rushes.
The song is an encouragement to all those new younger song writers and artist who are starting out in the Kpop Industry and really when you think about it to anyone young person who is trying to follow their dream. He's also telling them it's ok to rest and you don't have to continually push yourself to the point of 'burnout'. Just like BTS almost did. He doesn't want new young artist to go through what he and the rest of BTS have gone.
I watch BTS videos 3 times, once just to listen to the song, twice to watch the video, and the third time to read all the lyrics. This is the version from his Disney plus "making of the album" docu-drama - so not an official "music video" but still produced & created by the company.

Suga has delt with depression, ocd, and SOCIAL Anxiety, these are disorders that are not acknowledged in South Korea. They have been hushed up by the older population. And yet he stuck with it,shared his difficulties with others through his rap.He wanted to let not only his generation but the next generation know that they are not alone out there, that there are others like himself that understand. Suga is a true humanitarian. He sympathizes. I love how he uses his statis to reach out and incourage others to relax, just be your best self. Here he is offering other artists advice, letting them know he more then understands their struggles. He says in a verse, I will receive you, meaning ( I will be there for others, to ease their way, so they don't have to travel the same hard lonely road I did.❤❤❤❤❤
One of the most raw and beautiful songs Suga/AgustD has written. I had the privilage of seeing his tour and seeing this live. I sobbed through the whole thing. He puts all his emotions into it. Sadly he wrote this to give comfort to other artists. Sakamoto lived a very full life and passed of cancer. He won an acadamy award for his musical scores for films in the 80s and was one of my favorite composer. Suga always was inspired by him and this was the last musical collaboration Sakamoto did before he passed. Suga was able to meet him and ask him to contribute and he did the piano line in the song, he was the older Japanaese man with silver hair in the video.

This song had tears running down my face! Yoongi's words and your heartfelt analysis really hit me in the heart. I was just wondering if you've heard RM's "Wild Flower" yet and now I see you did, 2 days ago. Going to check your reaction. These songs have such a similar feel behind them as they speak of their struggles, not only in getting to where they are, but also in realizing their own individuality without their brothers, whom they spent 24/7 with for 10 years.
Next to watch, Jimin's "Set Me Free, Pt 2" and "Like Crazy". He wrote all the songs (one with some help from RM and one of the songwriters from BTS) and produced (with help from BTS producers). Then you have to React to J-Hope's "Hope on the Street" which he did with J. Cole ~ Incredible! Our Sunshine smiles through his tears.

He's saying don't forget your fans you make them smile and cry that can be they cry with joy for seeing you hearing singing or cry because they love and see your pain. The road is bumpy for new young artist but don't forget those who have gone before you and have helped path that road made it smoother for you placed the flowers along the way for you give them their flowers eg be thankful that we've been their first and we can help you move along that road just ask us. BTS did things that no other's in Kpop have been able to do and they are no one to go to for advice. In fact they talked about it in interview before. However Suga and the rest of BTS want new younger artist to go to them for advice if they need advice. It's Suga's and BTS humbleness and selflessness mindset.
When I first heard it I felt that sadness and joy and encouragement a real mix of things and those beautiful vocals Woosung from The Rose are just heavenly.
If Suga finds them worthy of promoting, you can bet I'll check them out. I did because I wanted to see what Suga saw in them. I myself have been checking out all of their colabs. And it doesn't take away from my love and loyalty to BTS. They have all had colabs with other artists over the years and I've been catching up. It's been a real eye opener. Just keep going could be Suga's motto. No matter what crap and obstacles life threw at Suga he kept striving to get through. He is much loved by his bandmates and by the BTS fandom.
I really liked your reaction and your appreciation of Suga. I love this song especially since he gave it away for free on Sound Cloud. Suga is such a sweetheart. You might want to watch his talk show Suchwita where he started by interviewing BTS members as they introduced their solo projects, but then started on younger Kpop singers and encouraging them. He really means it; he wants to help and comfort them. He knows how hard it is.
This was such a sweet and thoughtful reaction. Suga has such a skill in expressing himself in a way that so many people can relate to and also take their own meanings from the song. This has to be one of my favourite songs ever because of the lyrics, messages and combination of amazing artists. Absolutely beautiful 🌸🌿
If you worry about pausing too much, I don't think it is cheating to look up the lyrics and get an idea of the theme/messages before you start. Then you can still pause to take it in. Doolset Bangtan has some good translation with extra notes about Korean idioms and cultural idiosyncracies. We get so much from these songs and yet it amazes me that because of cultural differences there is still some that we miss. BTS are so skilled with words.

Woosung is from a group called the Rose. They’re awesome as well. Him and Yoongi (Suga/Agust D) are the same age I believe. It means a lot in their culture. These two make the song so perfect.

If you are not used to reading fast a suggestion would be to read the lyrics before you listen to the song. It won't spoil it too much because you don't know what it would sound like before you listen. At least while you're listening you will know what they are trying to tell you. Yes the older man in the video passed, he was a great man ,very excepting of the younger generation. The young man next to Suga, with that beautiful haunting voice is again from the band called the ROSE. They do rock & roll, and R&B. They are great 👍. They sing in both languages. He was a genius pianist that Yoongi looked up to as a mentor as well. Ryuchi won so many awards for his well known songs especially for big musicals. I’m glad that Yoongi got to meet him like J-Hope got to meet JCole. R.I.P. Mr. Sakamoto.

Its ok to be nostalic just not to fail to appreciate today looking to the past. Youngi suffered greatly and BTS were pioneers so they had no one to give advice. So they felt alone and struggled greatly. Youngi wants to ease the suffering of the young trainees. Hes saying they should take time to rest. He will be there for them.

This is my all-time favorite song. It makes me emotional every single time I hear it. I love BTS, and I love Woosung & The Rose, so when this song was announced I knew it was going to be good. Seeing Yoongi perform this live in concert was absolutely amazing.
Elissa has some good fan made videos. I like her JIMIN Promise video too. Because that song was released on sound cloud for free and it never had a music video. I love SNOOZE. I got to see Agust D in concert, on his solo sold out world tour in May 16, 2023. It was amazing. He's awesome in concert. So is BTS, I saw them in Los Angeles at SOFI - Dec 2, 2021, and Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium on April 15, 16, 2022. PTD Concerts were amazing.
