Watch is maybe a fake but movement is a good one from Sea-Gull company (ST3600). It would be better to install a crown gasket to avoid same thing happen again.
Почему вы решили что это копия? Баланс такой как должен быть у этой модели. ПАМы с механизмом 6497 выпускались. По механизму(то что я вижу) тоже претензий нет. Пожалуйста объясните. Мне интересно. Благодарю.
Thing is a lot of the times, servicing a clone takes the same amount of work then to service an original movement. Clones are also poorly made so adjustments will have to be made which will run up the bill. I also doubt you’re goin to be able to service a watch like this without breaking a bunch of stuff. You’re better off buying a whole new clone watch unfortunately. Or just don’t buy clones. They are ruining the industry and many of them involve child labor. Do you really want to support that?
A replica like this might not be able to cope with the demands of the lethal frogmen of Italy´s navy, albeit, it looks very much like the real thing above water! My dad has a 1950´s Cortébert Automatic watch. It said in the back cover waterproof. When I was a kid in the early 1970´s I made experiments, like the ones depicted in the glossy inserts in Reader´s Digest Selections for the Omega Constellations. One of these experiments was to put the dad´s watch inside his aquarium. It survived and I did too! However, the watch came into disrepair and I recently had it cleaned and the gaskets replaced, it needed the main spring replaced also and I was able to source it too. it still runs fast 5 minutes per day. However, while washing my hands the crown got wet and there was some mist inside the newly replaced cristal. I felt very bad! I made the huge mistake of leaving it in the rear window of my car. Whilst having lunch, with the crown open to let go of the mist I came back to my car (the windows were intact) only to find that the cristal became cracked where it meets the watch case and the tension ring...I guess I am still making experiments to my dad´s watch! I´m 57 years of age now but I´ve got to pay for the consequences of my watch. Perhaps this replica has the same issues with the crown gasket as dad´s Cortébert watch!
Did you make sure the case tube was installed properly? If it’s a screw down tube, many people dont know that it is necessary to seal them with epoxy or lock titr (I prefer epoxy, albeit it is a bit messier, if you use the right amount, it isn’t, also, locktite needs to reach extreme temperatures to remove, which will end up burning the watch case. Epoxy only needs to be heated to around 100f and is easily done in an ultrasonic) if it is a case tube installed with pressure, then maybe it came loose. Also entirely possible that you didn’t use the right gaskets. Hope you figure it out, but don’t go into watch without watching a couple watch making tutorials next time. There is so much information out there nowadays that it’s an easy hobby to pick up. Not like before where you couldn’t even find a single tech sheet. I’m a 12 year career watchmaker and I still Sometimes find myself going into the internet to research a caliber I’m unfamiliar with. There are also many watch forums that help people out with almost any watch.
This is a really good replica/fake. Worth fixing . I just brought a $11 "Panerai Marina" from Temu online, likely powered by a $2 quartz movement. Have not received it yet. I like the look of it, but will not spend $4000 for it.
You really should service a watch with a dg2813 or the GMT variant dg3804B since they are so common in replica watches, I would love to see you working on those
@@watchmakerjd8525 DG2813 and its GMT variant are good reliable movements. People tend to look down them bc of they are common in fake watches but this is not the fault of the movement itself.
@@meaninthemirror Except when you buy them you usually get an even cheaper knock off, which will be completely dry at the get go. Additionally those movements are basically not serviceable due to parts quality and construction geared towards automatic assembly. It is really best just to buy them new and switch them out. The DG2813 I would just replace with a much better myota 82xx movement.
Great video - thank you so much. It is really surprising when a fake looks better than the original, because Panerai have gone down in quality so much ...
Right now, Panerai is the easiest brand to fake. They use very basic movements that can be easily acquired and adapted by criminals. Their entry-level watches do not have the sapphire caseback anymore. The decorated movements were a way to make the fakers’ jobs more difficult. In order to get a Panerai of superior quality, one has to spend at least 11 thousand dollars.
Call it a fake all day long. There are good Homage watches then there are better Homage watches. Good Homage watches can be found. Personally I wear bund straps on all my watches. And don't take a shower wearing my watches.
Awesome job fake or real watches, ur skills are highly respected thank you for sharing.
Your tweezer work is exceptional sir. Outstanding. A pleasure to watch
Cannot help it but if not for stating it's a fake, really looks genuine. Specially if your not familiar with the brand or no reference.

Wow , even replica and really amazing,.

Do you know a source or part numbers for the screws and tabs that secure the movement to the case? Thank you.
Great video! What kind of oil for the balance jewel please?
How was the corrosion removed?
How do re attach the second hand? It’s impossible I find
Love watching these videos. How do I contact you for service and where are you located? Regards.
Same question here
Best place to service clones? Yourself? And approximate expected costs associated? You rock thanks for the awesome content!

At least with an original you are servicing something that has a decent retained value. With a clone throwing good money away!@@burritolover5082
To concrete my question: when I am looking for parts (stem etc) my orientation are the ETA spare part list ?
Where do you get the case back openers, and new parts

The original couldn't either really.

Beautiful glass back... movrment is more beautiful tban lot of genuine
Are you stateside? Do you accept mail in repairs?
I own the original 111.But one day, the crown guard suddenly loosened. Why is that? What would be the solution?
I guess the crown guard's screw seems to have loosened😊
Is it true? VSF is finito????
Great vid and awesome info. Thx! One thing not
clear to me: is it an "real" ETA6497-2 or an (perfectly) Asian replicated one? Regards, Marc
i wonder that too the movement looks like a original one
even the swan neck regulator look real
Where do you get fake replacement parts?
There is limit to sourcing most fake mvnt parts. I dont have any solution either😅
Even perfect fake are not all 100% waterproof...... for avoid corrosion avoid too swim with it !! And lubriant movment all 5 years

They are extremely cheap movements, so it's rather inefficient to spend much money on maintenance. Anyway I'll deal with it if I have a chance.😊
@@watchmakerjd8525 looking forward to it, best regards !

hence why I never buy new panerai watches i still hold on to my old pam 233 open case back !
So does this watch only woiork if you wind it as there is no rotor wheel?
For a fake, someone went to a lot of detail in creating this movement.
Assalamualaikum kak tempat servisnya dmn? Kalau ada nmr tlpn kak
Looks like someone took a swim in their replica lol
Hi where are you from?
He is sleeep

Criminals. I bet you are one too. Rolling at the stop sign, driving into red, yes, you are a criminal.
So are Rolex, Omega and many others
Why waste all this time and effort on a fake?
To get it working?
The crown is inaccurate and finishing isdifferent
Yes, because people will point that out right away. Come on. Most don't know the difference.
Nice job, but it's a fake. 😢
What are the main visible differences between the fake and genuine 111?
u should not repair or restore a fake watch . first it's not a good thing to do , secondo it's agaist the law
It's not against the law on most countries
