My husband ex co worker invite us to his mother in law water property in Mississippi, its heaven to be on a pier. Her 3 children (I'm the youngest &will turn 58 on May 7th), grands & great-grands will be celebrating her heavenly 90th birthday, that's something to look forward to.

We need a channel just for moms to give her story. I feel like for my generation 95’ and after we don’t have many elders who speak and give us this kinda wisdom. When my great grandmother was here I would call her once or twice a week just to hear her wisdom and pick her brain.

He would fillet some of the fish for the kids because they didn't like the bones😅. Walleye, bass, perch, catfish, flounder🐠🐟. We're from Pgh, Pa. When i was a kid, my grandmother used to cook fried mullet fish with grits for Sunday afternoons. You can't find mullet fish in the markets anymore. Never had Sheephead.

Mom knows her stuff and that was excellent wisdom. If you guys catch blue crabs save the fish heads in a freezer bag label as crab bait and freeze it till you ready to go crabbing. Yep that how I love to have my fish butterflied and scored.

YEAH, the older fishermen, told me to freeze the mullet alive, and it would taste very fresh, even if u cook them a month later. One day I placed about ten live mullet in my fridge freezer, my supposedly brave ass gangsta son, open the freezer an hr or so later, the mullets mouths was still opening & closing, making clapping sounds, and there was other movement on the fish as they were almost frozen. His B ass came running into another room, hollering POPS WHAT IT THE HELL, DAMN THAT WAS FUNNY, HAVE A GREAT DAY

When i was a kid, my grandmother used to cook fried mullet fish with grits for Sunday afternoons. You can't find mullet fish in the markets anymore. Never had Sheephead.
They sell mullet fish in Miami. I was raised up on mullets.

Mom knows her stuff and that was excellent wisdom. If you guys catch blue crabs save the fish heads in a freezer bag label as crab bait and freeze it till you ready to go crabbing. Yep that how I love to have my fish butterflied and scored.

YEAH, the older fishermen, told me to freeze the mullet alive, and it would taste very fresh, even if u cook them a month later. One day I placed about ten live mullet in my fridge freezer, my supposedly brave ass gangsta son, open the freezer an hr or so later, the mullets mouths was still opening & closing, making clapping sounds, and there was other movement on the fish as they were almost frozen. His B ass came running into another room, hollering POPS WHAT IT THE HELL, DAMN THAT WAS FUNNY, HAVE A GREAT DAY
