Layouts are always a compromise. Walkout salons to the back deck are great, especially for entertaining, however in 36' you give up the second stateroom and your guests will end up sleeping on the drop down dinette.

Definitely agree. I think if I were to change layout I also would bump up to 42-44 ft range and gain back some space!
