Couple things I want to mention but felt it would bloat out the video - If you want to 4 tick a blood barrage but have it not change your auto-cast you need to use Manual Spell Casting. Evil Lucario has a guide on it here (ruclips.net/video/iJzOHlYuULo/видео.html) - If you swap MH right after greater conc, you lose the 15% critical buff on your next ability - If you swap to 2H right after greater conc ends, the auto that is launched from the 3rd hit of conc critting is a 2H auto instead of a MH auto. These two things work against eachother so just do whats more natural comfortable And then some things that might have been vague - In the Conc -> Dbreath -> Blood Barrage + Tsunami/Staff Spec combo. The drbreath needs to be done with dual wield on, that way you make the auto attack cooldown 4 ticks. If you dbreath with a staff on you won't be able to 4 tick the auto - The critical hit that is launched is based on the weapon you are wielding 1 tick after you crit. So you want to keep 2H on as much as possible to make sure that mostly 2H autos are launched. For non-channeled abilities like flanking, if you are quick enough you can flank with DW and then swap back to the Staff of Armadyl before the auto is launched getting you a 2H auto in the process if flanking crits
Thanks a ton! Really informative. Graphs and charts + how you explain everything makes things easy to comprehend despite having quite a lot to take in.
I've had a max mage setup for a few months now, still an amateur using it after being a range main for the last few years. Insightful video and I am already seeing a noticeable dps increase after changing my rotations at Kerapac and Ambassador.
Good tips. I think one of the bigger mistakes i was making was switching to my staff after gconc to like wild magic or using Omni power and switching back to DW and losing those extra Omni hits. Once i started doing those properly it made such a big difference.
Been waiting for a breakdown like this ever since launch. This is awesome! A couple of super niche things to add - smoke cloud actually does benefit from the hit cap increase, if you're under metamorphosis instead of sunshine. This isn't as common, and is mostly seen for speed kills, but the autos themselves can reach 15k+ with the right buffs active. Taraket is a great example of this since you can stack so many insane buffs there. Kerapac on Slayer task + Genocidal comes close. Ed2 on task + sigil is also insane. And second, while spell switching is really sweaty, there are small situations (eg, speed, and general cost saving) that switching between incite fear, exsang, and blood barrage actually helps a lot. Barrage autos actually land a tick earlier than exsang/incite, and those single ticks across several autos actually add up to a lot of damage when the timing is important, eg. BSD and Ambi skips. Barrage also heals you while you are doing damage, so it's a great to way stand in one spot and face tank everything coming at you. Barely owned the staff for a few weeks myself, but it's some of the most fun I've had in a long time!
i dont think you mentioned limitless im still getting used to using my staff but limitless feels great for getting the tendrils + wm in earlier after staff spec
Any chance you’ll update this after the nerfs go through? I know everyone will be trying to figure it out but this video helped so much! Love your way of explaining things
Do you have a video on using flanking? I use range but as far as I can tell flanking only works with 2 abilities. So I'm not sure why everyone says flanking is so great
really flanking is only good for one ability the basic one, the threshold flank isn't worth it. you put flanking 4 on a t 80 weapon or a t90 or whatever you can afford . You switch to it and you press the basic flank while you're north of the enemy (static) or behind an enemy that moves, it gives you a free basic 260% damage ability.
Great video buddy. We’ll explained and stats examples aswell. Thank you for your video man, I recently just got the FSOA barrows dyed it, not that adds extra dps Lmaoo but I love it
I've always hated juicing my ripper so assuming I'm maging would you say it's more worth to just camp A kalg instead even if there's a kalg already? Idm bringing a couple spirituals and drinking them passively but the solak/Raksha meta of bringing like 8 spirituals and using 500+ scrolls an hour has never been something I enjoy doing.
Channelers rings isn't big on my use list, its really only used when you can't afford the reavers ring accuracy debuff. While you may get more initial crits with gconc, asphyxiate and ABS. You care mostly about the recursive autos.
Hi waswere, ty for those usefull infos. Something isn’t clear for me. ABS spec is a « special attack » , however wiki clearly say (on ABS page), and channeler’s ring procs on abs spec. You indicate reaver ring is BIS , but to me chennelers rings seems better, when you spam abs specs. You have +4% crit for all the 5 hits. That should bring us to 20% crit on last hit of each spec , or i’m wrong? What do you think? Testing it myslef i feel that my abs specs indeed crit more usesing chan ring, but only feelings :)
The channellers ring only applies to the ability damage and not the auto attacks, so you lose recursion chance with channellers, where with reavers the 5% applies to the autos
Youll hit more crits off the abs yes, however you will lose the buff for the following. Since you naturally have such a high chance to hit the crit with reavers its more beneficial to use reavers, since the following autos hold their crit chance
Sometimes, I come to videos like this to remember better times. I hated the fsoa for how it was so much better than anything else, but regardless, better times. I miss my mage elitist friends.
just got my fsoa on the iron and its really good but not as good as without grim :c. cant find anyone to teach me solak. would ove to learn to get the bows and grim.
Question: Isn't it worth it to gap the threshes and omni with gconc for the gained crit chance? E.G: Tendrils>Gconc(2 hit)>omni>gstaff(eof)/abs>gconc(2 hit)>wm>gtsaff (eof)/abs.... In the mentioned rotation, I have increased chance for my wm and omni to crit, as it is paired with gconc buff, which is more autos, and that's more adrenaline. Is there something I am missing?
@@WaswereRS Yeah, I know. But I am arguing here about the crit chance I get from gconc on the next ability, like I gconc and then Omni in DW. It is not worth it in you opinion? considering the Omni autos will be DW MH?
The only detail I think you didn't mention is that you want to camp the fsoa during your fsoa rotation, unless you're using gconc of course, to get t95 2h autos instead of t92 mh-only autos. If they changed that I'd love to know it too :D
Way more complicated than it needs to be literally just tsunami tendrils use all crit modifiers and staff spec / abs and u destroy bosses in seconds pretty easy tbh first time ever using the staff bashed my Raksha pr by 1:26 lol

Omni doesn't hit 4 times if you switch weapons before it hits?
@@Yourpolice69 If you omni with 2h then swap to dw, the omni will be 2h damage (t95) but any crits will give dw autos

if you're comfortable with adren stalling, you can swap out persistent rage with death ward and get some extra dmg mitigation

I would love one of these on the ECB
Just what I needed got the fsoa last week
Can you please make a guide like this for the bow of the last guardian? I would really appreciate it. Its hard to time and manage.
so that's why Armadyll Battlestaff in the necklace is so good, since it launches 5 basic attacks
Great video as always :)
BTW, "sepcial attack"
This is the most insane amount of damage I’ve ever seen.
When do you use guthix staff (eof)?

Helm of Omens and Vitality Suit (inactive) with Ivory White

Is there anything wrong with substituting conservation of energy with heightened senses?
You use 4 ults a minute (2x omni, 1 sunshine and 1 tsunami) so COE is far far far far better than HS
@@WaswereRS Thank you for putting it into perspective, really helps it all make sense. Good work on the video! :D
thank you. im currently grinding my ass off to get this for my birthday if not sooner. I'm 2bil off
Doesnt channelers ring stack with abs spec?
yeh. its still kinda meh though
I now have bis mage but I suck at using it, I'm rev and manually do thresholds and ults but I can't get magic to have a decent DPS at all.
I thought they made it so auto attacks triggered by the staff won’t make additional auto attacks from their own crits?
They made the additonal aoe auto crits not launch a new one on the original target. So you cant use dummies to generate unlimited autos
Sometimes, I come to videos like this to remember better times. I hated the fsoa for how it was so much better than anything else, but regardless, better times. I miss my mage elitist friends.

Swapping to DW means that your autos now become MH autos, and swapping to from DW to 2H clears the conc buff so it ends up being a wash at best
@@WaswereRS Yeah, I know. But I am arguing here about the crit chance I get from gconc on the next ability, like I gconc and then Omni in DW. It is not worth it in you opinion? considering the Omni autos will be DW MH?
The fact it needs grim pages to use means I'll just be running the usual mage rotation on this same as any other staff hahahahaha
Whenever I use ABS spec it’ll do like 1 crit. I swear my ABS is cursed.

persistent rage is no longer a viable option by the way, seeing how you no longer need to stall adren with the infernal box thingy
