Wait a damn minute, I'm taking meds for my PTSD. And my Psychologist did mention it would cause ED over time. So do you get Retro if I were to file now

If they prescribed medication for your PTSD and the side effects include sexual side effects or ED.....YES! File. Or at least put in an Intent To File
Is there a way to increase my disability rating for conditions not service connected such as arthritis in the bake & major depression where these conditions have precluded me from working?
FSAD could possibly be secondary to a mental condition or fibroids

I had to have a triple arthrodesis on my right foot involving the fusion of three joints in my foot. The pain from the impingement is taken care of but now my foot doesn't flex. The atrophy from being so lethargic from pain has been life ruining to the point of an attempt to join the 24 a day club. I have kids and the stress of when will I not be able to take care of my family is a daily battle. Where can I go to get help from someone that knows how to help? Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

I read that you can receive 1 to 3 SMC-K awards. Does this mean in the case of a total hysterectomy, you can get SMC-K for each organ removed (cervix, uterus and tubes) totaling 3?

Just apply for SMC and let them decide which one to grant you. Form 21-0966. Good luck!! And you don't need to be missing any part/s. If you need A&A with bathing, staying safe and others you qualify for SMC-L and K!!!

I joined the navy having one kidney. It was till 1980’s I learned of missing kidney. Medications are out of the question, community care is terible and pain extreme. VSO is of no help. Can we talk.
I was awarded 0% for ED on 5 March 2024 and have not received any SMC-K pay. How do I get this fixed and get the SMC-K that I'm supposed to get?
Your letter has to state that you have 0% for ED and awarded SMC K. It’s not automatic.
Do I have to tell my VA Nurse Practitioner to give me a diagnosis first before I put a claim in and do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I file the claim. She has already put me on ED pills 💊
Your NP can't diagnose erectile dysfunction (i.e. there's no test to see if you're able to "perform" or not) but they can annotate your records. Hopefully you have a service-connected condition you can tie it to (mental health condition, high blood pressure, etc). In my case I was service-connected for hypertension and the meds they gave me are known to sometimes cause erectile dysfunction so it was an easy claim to win. The whole C&P exam took 15 minutes where the guy asked me about my ability to get hard and then did a quick visual examination of my junk.
Your NP can give you a diagnosis of ED

I was just diagnosed with Drop Foot and I was prescribed a boot to wear. Is this a disability claim that I should file? And does it qualify for SMC-K? Please help!

I am the vet my wife is not but she is blind can she qualify for SMC-L?
It sad that FSAD gets 0% rating but males could get up to 30% for ED. SMC-K is fine but FSAD needs a higher rating.
ED is rated at 0%. SMC-K for ED is currently $128.62/month.

Where does it say 30% for ED? I only see 0% for ED on VA website.
