    For anyone wondering how to make this a different size. Grab something that fits the person you making this for and make the foundation chain as long as the width of the cloths that fits. I don't think the hook size matters you just need to make the foundation chain the right waist size. I hope that helps.

    I crocheted this dress for me(so it was pretty big...) when I did the straps against the side of the top pieces, they would fall off when I put it on. So I took out the straps and I moved them about ten stitches over and made them there. I then sewed together the sides of the dress and the tops of the straps. It took a realllllyyy long time to make a big size of this dress but it turned out amazing! Even though the dress you made was meant for a baby, the pattern works really well for any size!

      Allyson Morgan Excellent tip about moving the straps over, thank you! I plan to make this for myself too. I’m wondering if the front panel should be bigger at all to accommodate....I’m fairly new to crocheting

    Hello woolly, Thank you for this tutorial. I made a crochet dress for my niece. I whip stiched the sides and left an armhole. I noticed it was wide (gaping) in the chest area so to reduce this I singled crochet and skip one stitch round the neckline twice and I made a lace edge round it. I was so beautiful and she loved it.
    Thank you. I am a big fan of yours

      Yes I was beginning to wonder 💭about the sides being left open? Thought I had missed something. I’ll be doing the same thing as you stitch up along the sides and leave enough room for the armhole opening.

    Hi WooleyWondersCrochet, I absolutely love your tutorials! You are one of the most thorough crochet tutorial makers out there on youtube for sure. One issue I have, or something I’m missing and wish you’d do more of, is the ends of either rows/rounds and the projects themselves. I think you kind of assume people know how to finish off their work quite easily and that’s not always the case. I’m always the most insecure when it comes to finishing off my work and how it should be done or look. I really would love if you could show that in a little more detail and not kinda skip over it in the videos. Thank you so much in advance!

    I have to say, this tutorial is so easy to follow. Also I was able to leave it and come back. I started this dress about a month ago, in between I found a cute lovie pattern so I stopped to make that. I found it so easy to pick back up where I left off. A lot of tutorials are hard to do that without being confused. You've also taught me about sizing, hook size, the importance of swatches and so much more, all from this tutorial. So I've subscribed... you're amazing !!!

    Can you pls provide more information on size and measurements in your drop down text. You refer to your etsy shop a lot but the patterns are often not to be found. I would need to know the exact wool to use to make dresses for girls of different ages and cannot find the information. In the video you mention it depends on the number of stitches in the foundation chain but how do I know what that number is if I don't have children? I also don't have a kid's Tshirt, etc. to compare and don't wish to buy one that I won't need.
    Please anyone help and WWC pls provide more info with your videos. Thank you.

      Get a dress of whatever size you are making and make the foundation chain of the top pieces as long as the waist of that dress. Do double crochets across until it the piece reaches from the waist line to the neck line. Then do the skirt as long as you want.

    • @allysonmorgan5009
      @allysonmorgan5009 6 лет назад +2

      HKD_24 find a dress of hers and make the foundation chain as long as across the waist line of her dress. Make the rows of double crochets up until you get to the neckline or a little lower or higher if you'd like... the skirt can be as long or short as you'd like. You can compare the dress you're making to the girl's dress.
