Ah Strata, we were there about a month and a bit after you chaps. I took my D4 (which is basically standard with the exception of the tyres and the 18" compomotive wheels, the rock sliders, and the underbody guards) and I have to say, she made short work of Strata. I'd like to say it was me in the driver seat, but, nah, can't take any credit. But that bit at 17:01 I slid to the left a bit and managed to get a pretty deep scratch in my rear passenger wheel arch... Still need to get that off and repaired. Since then I bought a set of unpainted plastic wheel arches for when she and I go laning. I got stick on magnetic panels for the doors and flanks and the roof curve for scratches, some clear self healing film on the bumpers and wing mirrors and light clusters, and my personal favourite, grey spray painted bathmats for the aluminium bonnet. She has a full suit of armour for trips now.
@@4WDUK My late fathers D2 is currently out of commission sadly had a new gearbox fitted and that's leaking so need that sorted out. I also got two non urgent jobs to do in replacing my fuel pump and the shuttle valve. So have used the D4 a lot more when I've been able to go out. I must say I love how you guys have a good time and still respect the tracks and stick to them. Can't wait to see more of your content.
Thanks bud🤙🏻 they were 36” but measured out about 37” 👌🏻 we now use Badak X-tremes, check out our never videos for them 😁 we have a 15% off discount code for the Badak too
@@4WDUK perfect thank you the exact set up I'm having done, always wonder how capable these trucks need to be to run lanes when everyone's on 35s and lifted
Nice video. I just bought a d2 here in Germany and I hope I will have a little luck with this car. I read a lot of bad things about it but I love the style of this car. When I see your videos tha d2 s look really reliable??? Do you have any tips for me??
Maintenance is key, look after it, and it’ll look after you 😁 don’t be fooled though, these trucks take a lot of upkeep, with what we do, we spend about 1 day a week working on them and checking them over
We had already let quite a bit of air out the tyres, we do carry compressors but didn’t fancy knocking a head off as those tyres are a nightmare to reseat 😳
Mint video lads
Thanks bud 🤙🏻
