Carolyn 6 Pound Fluke 7-16-11 Manasquan NJ

Carolyn hooks into a beautiful 6 pound summer fluke off the Manasquan Inlet, NJ in the Atlantic Ocean. This was her first ever fluke and it happened to be a whopper. It measured in at 26.5" and estimated at 6-7 pounds (did not have official scale and best guessing based on length, visual, guide's eye and online estimator. A fluke is very similar to a flounder and halibut. Take a look at the great pics after the fight on video. Note the chompers this big momma had! Fish was kept and had for dinner. It was delicious.

Hey Carolyn, Way to go! Nice fish. Had plenty of those in my day. My biggest was 9.8 lbs. weighd at Julians B&T. I will never forget it. Nice post. and Tight Lines to ya!
