- We heard your pleas: You want more Sacred Symbols x Defining Duke. Well, that can be arranged. In fact, it was! The five of us -- Chris, Dustin, Cog, Matty, and myself (Colin) -- gathered for a nearly-two hour conversation about Xbox, PlayStation, and the current status of our respective scenes. Halo's troubles, a seeming lack-of-excitement about God of War, percolating intrigue about unannounced projects on both sides, the future of subscriptions and games-as-a-service, lessening hardware scarcity, and so much more. We get deep into the weeds, just as we know you enjoy. So please: Do just that.

Y’all should definitely keep doing these. I mostly only watch defining duke but I’d watch these every time, and not only would these crossovers bring in views, but it’ll help even a dude like me to wanna watch more sacred symbols, and I’m sure for dudes that only watch sacred, they’d be drawn to check out DD more with these crossovers. Y’all should do one of these like monthly that would be super cool
@@brownie43212 I listen while I doordash so I enjoy long episodes I just mostly primarily watch duke cause I’m a huge Matty fan he’s my favorite RUclipsr, and Cog has amazing chemistry with him and I love Cog now too. Plus I don’t care much for Sony news as much as Xbox news

I love this intro. It’s so simple but gets me every time. I have a oh shit moment like a special Halloween intro from an old sitcom.
It makes me feel like a cross over event that you would be excited to see as a kid, I can’t explain it beyond that, it’s that feeling, for a second, its very appreciated and makes CLS what it is.
The editing at the beginning is excellent going back and forth between the intros. Major props. Also please keep the cross over episodes going. They are neat.
Respect to the Symbols boys, but I usually only watch Duke since I don’t have a PS. Still, these fusion pods are absolutely excellent. Thank you for doing these once in a while.

You gotta check out SS even a primarily Xbox player it's nice to keep up with the PS ecosystem.
I gotta say ever since the first live show Matty and Cogs chemistry has gotten so damn good.
Fr, i remember when cog first came on, I didn’t watch because I’m one of those people that cringes a bit when I sense like things are awkward but now I like the pairing way way way more than the Matty and acg pairing. No disrespect to acg lol.

My most painful tie to retro gaming was getting Conker's Bad Fur Day back in the day at a Kmart that was going out of business for $6 complete. Probably could have picked have picked up a couple more while I was at it. Oh well who could have known.
It would be dope if you guys did this once a month. I think it makes for a fun healthy competition when both parties get to check in monthly to give the other side better insight into the opposing game console.

It sucks that there aren't a lot of big AAA games this year, but as you all said, it gives me a lot of time to catch up on some games I haven't played yet that I know I'll enjoy. Some of them have been updated several times and optimized for next gen since launch too. So it'll be nice to run through them with the spare time.
Doom Eternal I never got to finish, Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted DLC, Halo Infinite.
Also I didn't own a PS3 back in the day, so my friend lent me his to play The Last of Us and I loved the game, so I'm excited to play the remake since I never spent money on the original or remaster. Though, I get people's complaints on the remake after just having a remaster that still looks good and also not including some mechanics that were in TLOU2. I didn't play the sequel, but watched the entire play through and hated the story, I do acknowledge that the gameplay and graphics looked great.

I'm ready to jump behind Xbox and definitely will as soon as the games come, but I just can't get myself hyped too much for them till that happens. Maybe that's because I'm getting older, but I can't get myself hyped till I can play something

Totally agree Colin and thanks for saying it. I’m a Xbot and huge Halo fan and Bonnie Ross would have been gone months ago if it wasn’t for gender.
For what it's worth, Bonnie Ross is a studio Head not project lead on Halo Infinite. It's her job to keep the studio running, I doubt she actually does too much directly related to the game itself. I think the issues with Infinite right now stem back to mistakes made early in development by Chris Lee and the other leads, taking too long to find a direction for the game, and leaving it to be mostly developed from the start of 2019. That's not to say she's totally blameless, but I do think too much of it gets aimed at her specifically. With Joe Staten back, I'm pretty hopeful for the future of the game, there's just a whole lot of technical debt they need to catch up with first. I guess we'll see where they're at tomorrow when they drop the new update.
I agree with you guys with GameStop. The last physical game I bought was WWE 2K22 (which is garbage btw for any wrestling fans here, 2k19 is the last good game), and before that it was Red Dead Redemption 2....I only go there to buy controllers now...thats it.
They still do the Midnight Release thing, but now its 9:00 PM, so you technically have 3 hours of exclusivity (without download time) until everyone who pre downloaded can start at 12:00 AM. When I was getting a controller last week, 2 people walked in to grab Saints Row, which I imagined they've returned since then LoooL
Just got an n64 and booted up golden eye. Omg is that unplayable now. Trying to play a fps game with one stick hurts my brain.

Last of Us Part 1 sold 20M in 6 1/2 years and Part II sold 10M in 2. Not sure I’d describe that as a decline lol
It’s not a decline. People’s expectations of The Last of Us, and PlayStation exclusives in general this generation, are unreasonably high and unforgiving because Sony has set the standard of making the best games. There’s no other reason as to why. People make excuses for Xbox games all the time *(Halo Infinite)* but the same handicap isn’t afforded to PlayStation because people expect more from them. Regardless, TLOU Part 2 selling half the amount as Part 1 in less than half the time is beyond impressive.
Not to mention the fact that most of TLOU 1’s sales come from same people buying the game twice on PS3 & PS4 (now PS5) eventually TLOU2 will be re-released and have a chance to bolster the numbers too
@@spenny2cents yeah I don’t know much cross over there is but releasing on two platforms is a huge boon. Regardless I think when it’s all said and done, TLOUII will crack 20M quicker than Part I did.

I know Colin you don't have much experience in multiplayer games, so I'm not sure how accurate your description is. You said Sony is working on a Rainbow Six Siege competitor. Are you saying it's going to be a tactical fps with heroes/operators like Siege? or is it a guess because they hired some of Siege's devs?

The ONLY way I even try Saints Row is if it comes to GP...and even then, I'll probably get so pissed off at it that I'll just stop playing it until they friggin' fix it!!
