For a while inverted tricks were banned in competition. This lead to linking tricks. Spread eagle, twister, Daffy. Backscratcher to mule kick. Moonwalk, mule kick helicopter to iron cross. In the dark times all jumping was banned at many ski areas. Catch air, lose pass signs. Season passes could get a warning corner clipped off. Free riders hid jumps in the trees and many struck out for the backcountry. Now there's giant Huck's and features we never dreamed of at most every area. Hopefully the temptation to add just one more rotation won't lead to a new era of injuries and regulations. Not everyone has a foam pit.
