Andy Tichenor Interview

Hey everyone!
Bobby & I just had a very interesting interview with our friend and trumpeter extraordinaire Andy Tichenor. In this episode we discuss his long time position as lead trumpeter with the Muny Orchestra in St Louis. Highlights include: playing environments, monitors and more. We also asked Andy about his main influences (includes Gozzo, Herseth, Bernie Glow and many more) as well as how he developed his sound and learned to play in these styles.
Later on Andy also discusses his book, “Trumpet Mania” and a surprising technique he uses that really strengthens his chops fast. There are some very enlightening ideas here for you.
