In adverse conditions you still catch great fish by other people's standards. Another fantastic video. Also, just before the sirens started going off, there was a great song playing in the background.
This is one of the best catfish channels on UT ! Entertaining , good humor and good music and catfish. Dave you resemble Wes Parker some . Thanks great channel.
Dave, you should do a contest of some sort, prise being a fishing trip with you😂😅😁😁 I would love to spend a day on the water with you, my nephew said we're two peas in a pod.😂😁😁😎
I'm glad he doesn't have a pianist in the group, don't believe that 50 could get up to planing speed if with that instrument, but might be fun to watch.
Don't have much to say. The trash from the boat ramps have moved into my neighborhood. A dead end street with lake- houses getting broken into. Just venting. Algorithms Hit the like button.
I fish a wild river much like that.,,no way to to drag any thing in it without hanging up. I tie up to something and fish. Find an eddy and fish the edge of the current. The lunkers hang out in an eddy. They don't have to work hard to maintain position.
This is why I keep 2 ugly stiks where ever I go ! Even without the boat. If I see interesting water, I go fishing ! A noble effort is ALWAYS a great experience, Dave. 😁👍
Good to see a catfish video on an actual river. Big difference between rivers and reservoirs. Little hack for rivers, find an old wooden cane at a yard sale, drill a hole in the bottom to connect the rope and you can hook the handle of the cane right over tree branches. Aka "tree anchor"
Hey Dave! i live 20 miles from there and i have fished there many times. and yes you do get hung up there a lot but have caught some 30+ pound fish there and there are some big flatheads there. i mostly fish off the bank there.
I have heard of a skunk in the boat, but every time you let that damm cat out of the bag, my Husky Hurricane wants to get in the back of my TV..............
Another Awesome video C.D. you da man. I could hear some Brian Adams and some Pat Benatar bleeding through. Loved the 80s.... Stay safe on your journeys, can't wait to see your next video. Always a great time fishing along with you.
Good luck Dave , I still don’t have a boat here in Northern Ky but looks like I’m gona have to come up with a plan , thay are closing all the good places we’re it’s deeper waters off for us and leaving us with places in shallow waters we’re all the dopers hassle you have to hard yourself and what you got , kinda a bad trade lol , I still watch you every chance I get no doubt so , Have a good 1 Catfish Dave and hope you break your record this year for sure!
It does seem to be better in the summer. I would like to see you come back then and fish it again. Maybe start out at the 140 ramp just east of Rome. Great video Dave.
A couple of summers ago I was working down in Rome, Georgia and fish that exact river after work. I caught some monster blues out of there and a couple of nice flat heads. I caught them off a bluegill. I was working down there for about six or eight weeks driving from Seymour, Tennessee.
Fat little striper full of eggs. They make their way on up to the Conasauga and head on up to Dalton. Don't know if they have any luck spawning or not? Working up that way back in 97 and 98 when the locust hatch hit. Everything in the river was eating bugs. Snatch yourself one off the side of a tree and have some kind of fish on in a minute, if it made it to the bottom you had a blue cat on the line. That made for a fun lunch break!
I finally got to fish. Been 2 Mts. Did awsome for the waters I fish. Got the wife on one. And my son. Good times. Anf the dog got a possum. So we all won
roger that !cat fish Dave signing out !
I'm still trying to determine if the demon dragons are worth the money
In adverse conditions you still catch great fish by other people's standards. Another fantastic video. Also, just before the sirens started going off, there was a great song playing in the background.
Dueling banjos I heard. LOOK out Dave
@@IEchuckie I could hear "Overkill" by Men At Work. I would recognise that soprano saxophone work anywhere.
Pronounced Oosta Nala. River...
You could catch a catfish in a mud puddle
I wish I would’ve known you was in Rome. I want to take you up to Coos River to the walk and I am just passed. It is a great place for catfish.

Wish I knew you were here. I live 5 miles from that spot, could have learned a lot from you.
Hope it's as good as the rest of the video's
I guess Dave's bluegrass pickers couldn't join him on this trip.
I've often wondered how many pickers he could fit in that boat and how they kept their instruments dry.
I'm glad he doesn't have a pianist in the group, don't believe that 50 could get up to planing speed if with that instrument, but might be fun to watch.
Hey it counts. It had whiskers.
It's a weird name is called eastanollee
What's your boat setup?
I love fishing that river
Come on a little further south and we will put you on some Sumo size catfish. Lake Oconee, Altamaha river
So the after-the-release dance is reserved only for catfish? I'm a little disappointed there, buddy.
💪
It's because Altoona is drained down all winter it looks like a small Creek all winter
Head on down highway 27 to westpoint you will actually catch some cats there.
Don't have much to say. The trash from the boat ramps have moved into my neighborhood. A dead end street with lake- houses getting broken into. Just venting. Algorithms Hit the like button.
Come to north Texas. We got tawakoni and Lavon within an hr of each other producing some good size blue cats!!
Find a brush pile Dave
When are you coming back to alabama man I enjoy all your videos
Why certainly!
No dogs barking yet
Good lord Dave! What are you putting on that reel, trotline???
Fillet the bass for cutbait.

Will you ever take a trip over sea and fish for a wels catfish?
I fish a wild river much like that.,,no way to to drag any thing in it without hanging up.
I tie up to something and fish. Find an eddy and fish the edge of the current. The lunkers hang out in an eddy. They don't have to work hard to maintain position.
Dave, why don’t you make shirts that say, “ This is a shirt, it has fish on it. This is a fishing shirt.”
Come to the hooch
Rome thats my neck of the woods.. yes it s a great place to fish. but you will get Hong up a lot.
In my neck of the woods
There are some big fish in both of those rivers. Stripers will be there before long.
What model. Or what floor plan boat is that?
MTG stomping grounds, I like it
Change the spot lock sensitivity, you can make it lazy or strict.
Who in the world is cousin delbert
go to lake murray in sc
Go to the Coosa if you come back to ga slower current and deeper water
Down below the lock put in at brushy branch or old river rd
I like your road trips. Hope you do a lot more of them
Awesome videos Dave get your daily dose of dry humor and great fishing all in one spot !!!
This is why I keep 2 ugly stiks where ever I go ! Even without the boat. If I see interesting water, I go fishing ! A noble effort is ALWAYS a great experience, Dave. 😁👍

Great tip. I would call it a walking stick. I will definitely get one for my canoe. Thanks
@@patcolston2901 I would call it a walking stick too but the yanks would be thinking of a straight 5ft staff if I said walking stick lol

I thought he was bent over going under that 100' bridge like he would hit his head, then I realized he was looking at the fish finder.
Just west of you is a huge paper mill, that's what you smell!
Nice video, I have been want to fish there for a long time and Ande is my favorite line for big stuff.

Don't you like fishing by bridges?
Think your right about fishing there later!
did some cell phone power cabinets there a few years back, really like the looks of the rivers , never had any time to fish it ... awesome vid !!!!
The Oostie is a good fishery as is the Etowah, but the narrower Rivers are slap full of snags. Good Crappie fishing too.
I finally got to fish. Been 2 Mts. Did awsome for the waters I fish. Got the wife on one. And my son. Good times. Anf the dog got a possum. So we all won
If Dave would spit some of that juice from his chew on the hook he might hook up
Great shows keep up the good work be safe my friend
Growing up we mostly fished the Coosa river and Ottawa River
