Haircut starts at 8:19, but we’d recommend watching the FULL first 6 minutes and 56 seconds of this video. Such a great consultation, between Dan and Stef, for anyone looking to know whether they should worry about the name of a haircut or just show a photo! It explains exactly why you should show a photo and how you can take certain elements from a haircut you like, without trying to look like the photo you show
There's people that can do and others that can teach. Pro sports players can perform, but can't always instruct others because they're simply good at it themselves. Others can instruct to perfection, but maybe can't perform at a pro level. Dan is quite simply a master at both. He knows how to do it, can teach it, and is a master at explaining and showing why it's done a certain way. He makes it an art.
perfect haircut. would of loved that back in 2000, instead i had a bleached 4 all over as i was a the market slim shady. I like how you don't use overly complex sectioning techniques. I feel half the barbers doing crazy sections don't actually know why they are doing it and more copying what they seen on the gram.
Don’t be afraid to use a smaller comb for clipper over comb when you get comfortable. ESP while working around the ears and detail work on the nape. It’s easier to save the outline detail work for later when your already done with the upper sides. Then you have a more clear picture.
Can you do a video on what to help with scalp development? I usually get a skin fade and but, for a while I was super self conscious because I was having dry scalp issues, I had blotches of redness with dry skin/dandruff. I literally did everything to fix the issues. The thing I really think worked for me was TGEL shampoo as-well as shaving my head off and starting fresh. Now the only issues is that the dryness/dandruff has move to the top of my scalp. I literally think I personally take care of my hair a lot more than before because of it. I hate seeing dandruff fly off when my hair gets brushed or even waking up with flakes all over. Like I said, I take care of my hair pretty well, I did my research on shampoos, I don’t even use hot water anymore, just cold showers for my personal self not just for my hair. I even changed my shower head to have a Filter for chlorine. I just bought some sea salt spray to help with the dryness/UV in Arizona. Thanks in advance, I know I’m not the only one with this issue.
I had the same symptoms as you, and it turned out to be seborrheic dermatitis. If it doesn't go away by changing hair products, then it's not "just" dryness and dandruff. I recommend you to visit a dermatologist, he will probably prescribe you some medicated shampoo (with selenium sulfide or ketoconazole, for example) and a special diet (exclusion of fat, spicy and sugary foods). Don't delay your visit to the doctor because you will get such a relief!
@@TheDacheetz I ended up being on a carnivore diet for 1 month and a couple weeks things weren’t drastically changing and I was talking my vitals/probiotics. I did go to a dermatologist but the medication only last so long. I’ve done research and looked up diets and what not but some stuff becomes harder to track with life but I understand that my diet is everything. I went from 210 to 175 by counting macros and the carnivore diet as well.
Anybody knows if there's a barber as good as him anywhere California? Im actually asking... not being sarcastic cause i like his skills and the attention he gives to his clients!
The consultation part is so essential that you'll miss the important details if it's skipped. The haircut is way better than what Brad's. And oh by the way is that a new hair dryer?
Stef is my kind of people, he'll relax to the point of almost falling asleep while getting a haircut, a sign of trust in your barber lol. Sometimes i rewatch RG videos because those scissor (and razor) sounds are just so soothing and it may have put me to sleep a couple of times lol. Stef did get what he wanted, but better IMO, "Dan Ross" delivers again, even movie spoilers :D
why cant i find the real tutorial, damn this is good but you left the lower back part so short it just looks like a normal haircut :(, how can i trim exactly the way it looks , you know , the real thing its more like a mullet variation right=
His before cut looks like what we called the bubble in the early 60’s, we girls put curlers all over our heads to get that style. If I win the lottery before I die, I’m coming to see Dan for a haircut! I have a picture, I want the Lisa Rinna cut. 🤗
Hello, não sou cabeleireiro, no meu país há muitos harshop ja fui alguns, mas são todos iguais não são como você não é uma grande paixão mas gostava tirar o curso e mostrar a muitos como corta se cabelo como tu
Hair is great but not that great on him, because his ears are so prominent (wide?) that because the sides are now very short, his ears are now very visible. one of the very few examples on this channel that hair looked bad compared to before, even though the former was a mess.
What? This is nowhere NEAR Pitt's Fight Club textured piecey hair style. Also look at how much skin he's showing behind his ears. It's best to leave that more covered and thinned out. Sorry but this is terrible. He does not look happy at all. Now he just has that average hair cur that no one even notices. That can be a good thing, but I prefer to have a haircut that really gives character. It doesn't have to be loud by the way to accomplish that. You just have to understand sculpting hair based on the shape of the head, the face and the character of the person.

Thanks so much again Dan, such a great experience and a great haircut!
Love how he never makes people feel dumb and when he disagrees and suggests something else he does it in such a good way
Quite literally the greatest men's hair and barbering resource on the internet. Great work once again Dan & team.
How about Salon Guy?
Thank you so much. Just glad the videos can help you out!
They broke the first rule:
They talked about Fight Club
Wouldn't mind a Dan soundboard with classics such as horseshoe section, there's me guide, choppy texture and many more. Great cut again.
Hahahah 😂
😂😂 that can be arranged!
I love watching Dan cut hair, but the consultations are even better. So smart and detailed
Same! Always our favourite part!

Imagine that you go to the Barber expecting to look Tyler Durden alike and you end up with this! What a blooper! 😂
Ain’t the barbers fault dude isn’t Brad Pitt lmao it’s not a good haircut for 99% of the population
It’s a great haircut
Hey Dan, could you please make a video what hair cut suits which face shape? Would be great to have your take on it.
fight club hairstyle is coming back from the late 90s I used to do crazy style spikey for years lol
Haha it's funny how trends are always going in and out of style. We definitely are seeing more 90's styles coming back in.

Brilliant haircut! It makes a nice change from skin fades.

And always leave the lever open (Longer) for a softer finish.
Loved it! Guy had great hair to start but you delivered on his vision!
Thank you for these videos, your helping alot of new barbers like myself out massively
Thank you for watching! Every view, comment etc.. helps us out too ❤️
The mic volume levels are so inconsistent throughout these videos. Something that you guys should look into.
Dumping the ineffective masks would help.

Glad to see someone does medium haircuts on RUclips…so many times it’s skin fades.
Best haircut I’ve seen. Incredible job!
That’s a really good haircut. I think this might be your best one.
Learning a lot from you and theses videos , love it keep it up

I’ve the same problem

The great thing is that it will grow out to Brad pitts haircut in about a month and a half. So you basically get two haircuts
Is that true? I’m currently growing my hair out. It’s 4-5” now. I also had head surgery so getting a haircut is not possible. 😬
The consultation part is so essential that you'll miss the important details if it's skipped. The haircut is way better than what Brad's. And oh by the way is that a new hair dryer?
Regal, your talent and knowledge are immense. Quite honestly, YOU ARE THE BEST if not the ONE AND ONLY….
bro that hairstyle is fire for real
Thanks to the creating master David Beckham ... we have so many innovative short hair styles..

Dan the almighty hair wizard!
why cant i find the real tutorial, damn this is good but you left the lower back part so short it just looks like a normal haircut :(, how can i trim exactly the way it looks , you know , the real thing its more like a mullet variation right=
Why quality is 480?
Took a while to process the HD version for some reason! 1080p should be available now! (it is for us)
Awesome tutorial Dan, learning a lot! Would you use this technique as an alternative to your traditional scissor cut?
A great hair cut by a true professional, great video, Shane I'm in Melbourne Australia but next time in the UK I'll check out your shop, Dave
When will you be having the Matte Clay back in stock please? Can't get it anywhere.
Thanks
I'm glad that he not ordering another boring fade cut..

I would LOVE a cut by you. Genius
What would you say the lengths of the top and sides are for this haircut?
Sides was about Finger length and that’s usually about an inch, top maybe 5-6
If you’re asking for it then don’t worry about it! Just show a photo and get something tailored to you
Great work like everytime. I wanted to ask you can you please upload a video with dan for a self hair cut at home
Hey so just to be clear, how do I ask for this at the barbers?
He wasnt long enough to start with, now after a couple of months, it will have more of the fight club look.
You are the best 🔥
❤️
Master, name and size of scissors that you use in this video? Thank you!...🔥✂🔥
I can’t believe the transformation that’s a really good haircut 👍
10/10 NEED TO WATCH
That looks more like edward norton

He went for brad pitt haircut and now looks like edwrd norton jajajajajaja
😅😅😅
Crazy Cut ❤️❤️❤️😭

Thank you!
@@RegalGentleman thought your location is in the US, but you are in another country. Still like your approach to teaching hair cutting!
Is he from Liverpool?
Can you do this on Asian stiff hair
Dude looks like todd howard
cheers RG team!

Can you do a leo dicaprio from once apon a time in hollywood haircut
Tyler Durden
I’m booking an appointment!
This looks more like TASM haircut lol
Warum werden Seiten und Nacken mit der Schere geschnitten, wenn Du im Anschluss sowieso die Maschine benutzt?
Weil er es kann.

His hair is too thick for the Brad Pitt Haircut. Brad Pitt has fine hair himself
Nothing wrong with thick hair, though...

What scissors does he use!???

He is in a club
Looks like someone was out an about, he looking wrecked

The sides and the back in Brad Pitt's hair are longer. Your own haircut look more like Tyler durden than that guy's
It's look great, but Brad Pitt have more length on the back.

He looks like David dobrik lol
Hoping you rewatch this video and realize how patently stupid those masks were, and still are
Is no one able to be honest and say this looks nothing like the fight club hair cut....
I know right? His hair is a lot thicker than Brad's.

it's Art not haircut

problem with the quality
The HD Version is still processing for some reason! Try again later! UPDATE - 1080p should hopefully be available now! It works for us
