    I am on my 7th month suffering...I could never imagine before that that the human body can experience this amount of pain. I realized that all this negative over thinking, all this depression is naturally caused by this situation and the only sure is doesn't let the body heal. I am really happy I keep listening people been through this and took their lifes back.

    I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder, panic disorder (agoraphobia) at age 16. I've learned to live with it over the years, but I'm still dealing with a ton of anxiety. I am open to this way of thinking of it. I'm now 59 and tired of living in survival mode. I was put off of work a number of years ago because of this, much to my shock. I hope to get past this. Thank you for your videos. Thanks for the book recommendation, I just got it from our e-library. I will read it.

  • @Jolei33
    @Jolei33 Год назад +3

    Yes, I’m dealing with waves of both anxiety and depression. It’s a weird feeling that I am not safe in the world as a response to situations that normally I would handle with confidence. Especially any worrying about my son. When you can’t function normally, it’s hard to feel confident in my ability to protect myself or my son. I am improving slowly in my 4th month of recovery. Most of my symptoms or reduced significantly or some have disappeared. I’m functioning but still unable to work full time or drive very long. It just feels like everything is so critical. I’m going to contact a therapist to help support this specifically.

    What really helped my anxiety was changing my diet. I cut out carbs and any junk food. I don't eat good food that's higher in sugar either. I was amazed at how much it dropped the anxiety I was feeling. Depression has been harder and I've been on so many antidepressants over the years with little help. I finally stopped taking them and am looking at more natural alternatives. I was having these depressive thoughts long before I was diagnosed with fibro and cfs, though.

    I agree with you completely. Thank you for these videos (another male, here).
    In our cases, it sure seems depression and anxiety are dramatically magnified, or entirely brought about by the crippling and cumulative effects of CFS on our psyche. I’ve been to a psych ward. Wanted to die more times than I can count - a few times this week. I’ve taken over ten psych meds, with no benefit - only side effects. Had 36 TMS treatments. I’ve also lead a life of high function and success in spite of persistent fatigue (stop being lazy!) and it’s associated ailments, until the total crash 4 months ago.
    For me, mental illness is the scariest part.
    Mindfulness based stress reduction has helped me more than any doctor over 40 years. I’m excited to try the brain training you discussed in another video and will be reading your book. Thank you for sharing your story with us!!

    CFSME is like living in a pasture that is divided in half by a fence. One side is luscious, verdant, full of flowers, fresh air, ponds, and streams, singing birds etc. The other side is hard rocky ground with no water, ponds, fresh air, etc. There is no gate and one must try to climb over the fence to get to the other side. Too bad the fence is so high. It has been tough. This is my third and worst bout. All came after a medical incident, this time a respiratory virus, not Covid but the Dr called it long term Covid. Already have had Menierre's vertigo for thirty three years. The fatigue is ridiculously beyond belief.

    Great video! I too have noticed that feelings of anxiety and depression get worse when I'm in a cfs flare up. I got covid 3 months ago, and since then cfs symptoms have been waaay worse. It literally wiped me out. Now I'm having constant panic attacks and anxiety for the last 3 months. It's worse in the mornings right when I wake up...I can feel the panic just hijack my body and my heart races and then I feel so weak like I have low blood sugar...probably because all of the cortisol and adrenaline. My question is how can I get my body to switch into the parasympathetic mode right in the morning so I'm not having horrible panic attacks? It seems like it starts in my sleep. I do my best to meditate and do relaxing breathing exercises before I sleep, but I seem to be stuck in fight or flight mode subconsciously because I wake up multiple times throughout the night and in the morning in a panic attack and cold sweats. And it seems to last through out the day. But right in the morning it is definitely stronger. Any tips? Thanks 🙏

    It does sound like you experienced some reactive depression from having severe CFS. Once you had a lessoning of symptoms and could do more, you weren't really depressed.
