Mick will never go with an Eclipse style signature. And we already seen his signature.. it’s an M style with one pickup in the bridge.. His tech already post it in the socials.. And it’s logical since his legacy is superstrats(except for the BC Rich one..). Unless ESP is planning to release multiple sig styles for him the one we will definitely get is a superstrat..
Man maybe in todays scene. ESP has been one of the staples but Jackson was literally BORN of metal don’t ever disrespect them again. Jackson started BECAUSE of Randy Rhoads. There is no brand with metal in its heritage than that. If you don’t know the history of Jackson then you need to learn. No brand is more ‘metal’ than Jackson.
Jackson players usually stick to Jacksons cuz of their necks. I could see how a switch to ESP could happen tho. They make some really awesome guitars and even if the craze for ESP died down a tiny bit from say 10-15 years ago. I swear in like 2000-2015 almost every band was playing ESP products and Schecter was pretty huge then too. Schecters suck imo. They have Fat necks. And I am a Les Paul player. But every schecter I played minus the 8 string I had for 6 months, they all had necks that I just absolutely hated. I play 7 string mostly and Ibanez, ESP and Epiphone(MKH LPC7) all have great necks. Jackson 7 string necks are nice too. Schecter is like playing a 2x4.
@@killthekaiju9219 There was no disrespect, just an opinion that ESP is better. Obviously I know about Jackson's legacy, also my two favorite guitarists are Jackson players with their own signatures, Dave Davidson and Brandon Ellis.
Before ESP USA went to a set production lineup to catch up on their massive backlog, Jawbreaker was one of the à la carte menu options. There’s at least one Jawbreaker Eclipse FR out there. Production LTD version would be sick af 🤘
I play telecasters in my local country music cover band.... but I'm a HUGE lamb of god fan too! I saw them in Tampa when they opened for Pantera.... lamb of god are freakin ridiculous live! I hope Mark &Gibson release a signature model soon!🤘🤘🤘
Being a older metal head. I love my Charvel’S and Jackson’s. I recently purchased a new Jackson Pro Indonesian made with active Jackson pickups. Around the $800 range. I didn’t know that they had designed one? The are pretty dang good actually. I’m not changing them. I wish they would start building them in the U.S. I wish they would do better with paint jobs and neck design. They should hire me actually.😂😂
He’s been playing a model referred to as the MT-1 his tech posted about. I would only imagine we’ll see a Mick signature before Mark. Mark’s would be a custom shop one off run than a production model.
My money is that the Morton Gibson is a standard les paul, but different colour. They might call the pickups something like Mortonbuckers as well but they will sound like pafs.
I wish artists and brands were a little more particular with signature guitar lines, I get that they sell well, but I miss when a signature guitar was something that was faithfully recreated, high quality, and most importantly, was unique enough to justify itself as a unique instrument and not just a piece of band merch. If you look at a lot of the signatures Fender and Ibanez are putting out, they add to the overall landscape of guitars and get their own reputation and history apart from the artist.
Mick's signature won't be that single cut. He's recently been seen using what appears to be his signature LTD on stage, with "MT-1" on the headstock. It's an MH body, reverse headstock, and doesn't have a neck pickup. I haven't been able to get a good look at the bridge on it, though. Literally, every pic of him using it has his hand completely blocking it. But, I'm going to assume that he's not implementing any type of "hardtail Floyd" that he's had on all of his guitars since his Ibanez days because they all had locking nuts but his LTD doesn't have one. I suspect it's gonna be a tune-o-matic style, or a Hipshot HM. He's done interviews and demos using a few ESPs with one or the other. I think it's kind of weird that it only has one pickup when he literally just released his signature Fishman set that includes both a bridge and neck pickup.
Dude with Jackson giving away a signature series to the DEI pick from Tetrach, I canceled my order for my Jackson USA that was being made. Ended up getting a Schecter USA instead. Should be here tomorrow. Breaks my heart too, I've loved jackson for decades
I saw slipknot live and mick was playing the jawbreaker and I was I know this guitar oh yeah it’s the guitar that augfish mentioned in video omg that’s so cool
Wait Mick moved AGAIN? I swear he had jumped ship from Jackson not that long ago, and he'd been with Ibanez for almost a decade before that. Crazy how time flies. He's really jumping around
damn lol. literally first comment caught me 😂 Most videos get abandoned by the algo after about a month, so I figured since it's still relevant, no harm in trying out posting a slightly-updated refresher, especially for new subs who most likely didn't see the original upload from like a year ago. Y'all are too smart, my other creator friends re-post completely unchanged Shorts all the time to please the algorithm and their audiences never notice lol
NGL. I feel like Gibson les pauls get a bad rep in the newer generation of metal guitar players, but I find it's because of the Gibson snobs. Once people tell you their gibson is so much better than your esp/ibanez/jackson/caparison etc, you kinda never wanna try them.. I had two les pauls tho, one standard goldtop and one historic black beauty (R7), and the R7 is one of the best guitars I've ever owned, legitimately. Still love the modern guitars too tho.. but there's something to a heavy ass, durable mahogny guitar. (Yes, My R7 had a prior neck break, after that it's the most solid workhorse ever.)
guaranteed micks new sigs will look like the rest of his old ones. the black, white, red and carbon fiber. these are just his personal guitars from home. i have his soloist with the new Fishmans and there good.
Bruh I was so stoked for these at the start of the year. I guess Mick still has more of the ESP lineup to go through lol. Fingers crossed for 2025 🤞

ESP is metal guitars. No other company even compares. Jackson is ok, but ESP is so much better. Crazy that it took a guy so old to realize that.
Fr ESP over Jackson any day
B.C. Rich…

Mick Thompson : BC RICH era ❤
Goes to show if you have talent, you can make anything sound good.😂
i have a jackson mark morten guitar and it’s the best one i’ve ever owned. i hope they don’t discontinue that model cuz yall would be missing out
It’s BEEN discontinued. They can’t exactly make any more if he’s not endorsed by them.
They probably will so hang on to it. Gonna see if I can grab one online, they'll be going up in value soon. Lol
I'm still waiting for the zakk wylde dimebolt tribute warhammer
Should make a signature eclipse or arrow with the Jawbreaker finish, that would be Wild! 😎

I own one of Marks personal signature Jackson guitars. Sounds like the value is going up.
I love the esp line micks been rocking. Really hope he has multiple guitars.

Got a link to that post for the MT-1? lol pls tell me it’s not just a black superstrat, I beg

He has his own DiMarzio pickups, but yea, probably a regular les paul with a cool maple top
His jackson was similar to a firebird though so that would be cool to see, even a reverse firebird would be cool

That Jawbreaker finish goes HARD
I’ll take the esp please, Bob!
On one of the ESP pages on FB his tech put up photos of all of his guitars including an LTD sig prototype based on the M series.
Ohhhh didn’t see that! You have just inspired a future Short lol. Got a link, my dude?
@@agufish YT wouldn't let me link so I sent it through insta 🙂

Clown did what?
It's all over my screen 🤡
@@NothingNowhere69420did you lick it off?
I wish ESP would bring back the F and AX guitars.
An AX Mick Thompson sig would go hard as all fuck
Mick has already road testing an LTD version of sig. single hum reverse headstock Horizon

Joe Duplantier of Gojira is now with ESP as well! I dig his Charvel sigs
New bc rich gunslinger retro, ironbird purple crackle, & st 3 retro dropped on sweet water.
It’s going to be the M with the pink / black flip flop sparkle finish and a SEVEN inlay … saved you a search
Mick was playing a ltd horizon when I saw them. This was the same week he announced the switch.
Mick Thomson is the first person I've seen that actually pulls off that dumbassed FRX ESP shape :D
Lmao wait actually you’re right 😂
Holy shit lol I think that's the first time I've seen him without sunglasses and a hat 😮
WOAH WOAH WOAH A CLOWN WHAT!?!?!? 😱
Whoa deja vu!
I saw slipknot live and mick was playing the jawbreaker and I was I know this guitar oh yeah it’s the guitar that augfish mentioned in video omg that’s so cool
Agufish will you ever review a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe? You know the "not so norlin era" 70s les paul they make now?
Wait Mick moved AGAIN? I swear he had jumped ship from Jackson not that long ago, and he'd been with Ibanez for almost a decade before that. Crazy how time flies. He's really jumping around
Ibanez MTM2 is a beast 🔥
We not gonna mention Sleep Token’s custom 8 string Monarch ? I’d kill for a production run aimed at us peasants…
I can’t wait to see the Mick x ESP signature
Want the Mark Morton signature I know Firefly will make a copy of at a decent price.😂
Mick Thomson is Bagul from Sinister
Very cool news
So no mention of the Forest but shows a FRX at the end?
I hope these are high end and not indo-mass-produced!
Or they could do both since not everyone can afford the high end ones
Wondering what is the main reason to switch from Jackson to ESP.

Am I the only one that’s waiting for a Daron Malakian Iceman to come back?
More cookie cutter Les Paul/Eclipse shapes sure that’s what the market totally needs.
I know those you tube checks can’t be that big
that ESP looks like a Gibson
when you gotta make a living, you don't give a fuck what guitar you play, as long as they come to you with a good contract)

Day 41 of asking for a review of the Yamaha Pacifica 611 (should be in the works)
A clown exploded all over it 😂❤
O gotta say it. Modern take on Les Pauls always look linda weird

Kind sucks Jackson’s losing all these artists

Shitnot
Jackson and EMG losing their complete roster 🥲

Les Paul’s are just the most un metal guitar shape. Inferior even.
