I take that as a big compliment coming from you, I really appreciate it! I'm trying to take a little from several of my favorite creators' styles and come up with sort of my own feel. Other than not shooting this one in the woods, I feel like I achieved what I wanted with this one. Your feedback on it tells me what I want to know. Look forward to seeing some of your upcoming work.
I like a lot of lot a bit of parmesan, It makes everything better! Glad you liked it, had a lot of fun making this one. Wasn't sure how it was gonna go really.
Awesome lions mane find man!! I still have nothing growing from my kit, not yet anyhow. I just got a firebox like that also, one of the reasons I bought it for the purpose of cooking edibles I do find sometimes. Cool video, highly enjoyed it my friend!
Be sure to shoot us a video when it does flush! Finally got to check out your Gerber curve video by the way, good stuff. I am loving the Fire Ant but I'm thinking now of getting another from EmberLit now. I want to play with the bigger one now and since I don't want it for backpacking I will opt for a cheaper stainless version. Just from looking at reviews I still think EmberLit is the brand to go with.
Just replied to you regarding that comment. But yea so far nothing from the kit, I did an update video yesterday showing and talking about whats going on that will go live tomorrow morning. The bush stick stove I got was the überleben Stoker. Its nice, a little rough on the edges(they could have sanded/milled them down some) but it feels to be really good quality. I might have to do a review on that as time permits. Ok enough of my yapping lol, take care man!
Good work Pax!! Those lions mane are one of my favorites! If you care to partake, I tagged you in a little collaboration video that will drop tomorrow morning...no pressure whatsoever...just figured since you are always active and commenting on my videos that I definitely needed to include you. Hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks! This was probably one of my funnest videos to make.I didn't hunt shrooms when I lived back in the Appalachia, do we get a lot of lion's manes back that way? Shoot yeah I want to see what you got going. I work tomorrow but I'll be checking you out as soon as I get back!
It's pretty cool, I just love playing with fire. Since you won't be worrying about weight of the firebox I suggest getting one of the bigger ones and get stainless. It'll still be really compact and cheaper. I haven't tried one of the bigger ones to be able to suggest one but I have a feeling I'm about to buy another. If I do I'll show it off!
Paxtiano Dirt Frog cool they make bigger ones! Yeah, we don’t have to worry about weight with the boat trips. It would be nice to start a fire quickly with twigs rather than needing to make a campfire. I mean, a camp fire is great, but if you just want to stop for a bit and cook something hot, those little stoves look great.
@@kathivy I think its worth trying out but I suggest watching or reading reviews. Apparently there's a lot of not so great ones out there. Like I say I want to experiment more now.
I'm not much of a mushroom guy ... but I would totally try that ! For sure ! That looks bomb ! I like chaga !!! I think you need to make a video to see just how much weight that stove will hold ................
They were not bad, I could have done better though. We don't get raw cream around here unfortunately (at least I'm not aware of it) but I would like to cook with it in the future just for curiosity. Not sure about the potatoes. I don't have the space now so I don't keep up with them but I hope to grow my own one day. Good luck with yours if you do grow some this year!
@@paxtianodirtfrog8947 realmilk.com has state list center page then a county list. You may find a dairy close to Amish or Mennonites who are not listed. The dairy I purchase from isn't. If it isn't awesome then try another dairy. The cows preferably should be grass fed. Those with celiac are also sensitive to grain fed milk. You may need to buy milk to get cream. I think you likely know this but if you don't..... it takes a few hours for cream to rise to the top after bottling. So if no cream is on top, there should be by morning. At that point just shake the carton before uncapping and it will homogenize long enough to pour then begin separating again. When I first started drinking it I was having some health issues I thought could be caused by commercial dairy. There is an upscale organic dairy here whose flavor I found quite good. They were grass fed too. So when I started drinking local farm milk here it was even better to me. But a few years later I had to drink commercial one day. And that was when I really noticed the difference. The farm milk tasted cleaner. So if local commercial is super clean you may not notice a difference. Or if the farm milk is from a dairy that's not, you might not taste a difference. Ask folks you know. That's where the best info is from. A cattle rancher can usually tell you the best dairy. Since they don't milk cows but demand good milk. 😁👍
Good storytelling, good shots, good editing and the music was at a good volume. Nice work dude.

Your mushroom meal looks very good and your little "stove" works better than you would expect.
Thanks for sharing.
Yes sir ! Justin here ! Stopping by to say hi ! Subbed !
Same here! Appreciate it! hope you find something you can use. Paxton
Thoroughly enjoyed this video

I haven't seen much as far as lions mane goes...but I am not in the woods nearly enough!!!
Man, I might have to get one of those little stoves. That would come in handy up the river! Thanks for the demo 😀👍

Cool video. From Zero to Homestead sent us over.

Good to meet you Rob! Thanks for watching. I jumped over to channel and like what I see so far! I'll be watching more too.
Man fresh mushrooms taste so good! Great video!
I love them but I think at this point its more the thrill of the hunt! Thanks for watching!
This was interesting. Never ate a mushroom I found outdoors.
Definitely do your homework if you do but its one of the coolest experiences in the wild.
Those mushrooms look awesome. Do y'all get raw cream? Are the potato seeds in the feed store yet?

I just finished dinner,.. and now I'm hungry again. :-)
Ha! Glad you liked it, go cook you some mushrooms now.I can never get enough.
The firbox seem a little unstable sometimes with the frying pan wanting to lean... but eventually it did work and mushrooms look delicious.
Yeah I was a little hap hazard with this set up. A little more preparation would have been a completely different story. Thanks for watching!
