One of favorite demos of all time. I received one back in 1987 from the band. Clear cassette with pro printed cover. Also, had the small poster, which I may still have.
It's Tom Malicoat . Anyway, I received the demo from the band back in 1988 or slightly before. I was disappointed with the Programmed album and especially Poison Seed. I had talked to Dell on the phone back then and he was working for a graphics company in California. My original demo disappeared somehow after playing it for people over to party (my bad). Thanks for this upload!!!!!!!!
It's amazing that only one of the 4 songs made it onto the "Programmed" album. The other 3 tracks are as good,if not better, than most of the songs on that album.
Schpida-Man's Music Dungeon I'll be on the lookout for it. Thanks! I have this demo on a "bootleg" cd split that also has Mortal Sin"s "Mayhemic Destruction" album on it. I don't even know who made it but I got it over 10 years ago.
I guess they didn't think the other four had the vibe they were going for with the debut. I prefer it that way anyways; I'm not a fan of having too many demo/EP/split tracks rerecorded for albums. Makes each release more distinct.
Love the energy of this album. I located my cassette from this band from the 80's. It got magnetized so it wont work any more but so glad there onthis site and have newer music...cant wait to hear what the next album will sound like...forever a fan!! Ky girl loves you guys!!
I agree. They desperately needed a distinctive logo and album art to hook people in. I almost skipped this band back in the day because I didn't like the logo or album art. I liked the band name though so had a listen and was so glad I did.
I have a t-shirt with the artwork from this demo and I used to wear it all the time at shows I played. People would come up to me after my set and ask about my t-shirt and I would tell them : They're a band from America, they're called Lethal and their vocalist will literally melt your face off. Anyone that has heard this tape and Programmed or the later stuff agrees with that statement. Thanks for the musical inspiration. I mean I can't sing like this but on another hand your phrasing has inspired my guitar work a lot.
Tracklist:

2. Just Before Dawn 3:33 - 6:44
3. The Arrival 6:44 - 11:10

It is pretty interesting. I believe the 2017 reissue adds this demo as bonus tracks, so I'd definitely look out for that if you don't already have it.

The only bad thing about this band is the original logo artwork

Queensryche?
Better than Queensryche IMO.
only better
Lethal banda argentina de trash metal
Los gringos escogieron el nombre primero, este demo es del 87, el de los argentos es del 88
La banda americana ya tenía el nombre en el 83
